I built mine with single coil using the ss rope that came with... 6/7 wraps of 30ga kanthal . Ended up to 1.8 ohm I recall . Played around adding ss mesh between the rope and coil didn't do well for me. Provari set at 3.8v.

The coil on the right looks screwed up in this pic but it's not.

Do you find that this build wicks ok? I tried a cotton micro build and the cotton just wasn't wicking fast enough. I was sure to keep the cotton loose and fluffy too. Had to really do some hardcore tilting to re-feed the wick after a few puffs.

I just meant to rewet the wicks I was tilting it upside down because unlike your setup where you have the cotton going all the way in the tank, I was cutting it off just below the deck based on the video I saw from Rip Trippers on how to setup a cotton micro in a genny. I found the wick would get dry after every few hits so I had to tilt the tank repeatedly.

... that, make the wick an inch and a half or two inches let it hang over the top of the coils 1/4in. And leave a good amount in the tank. When a piece of cotton is, say 75%wet it facilitates the rest of the cotton in becoming wet as well, additionally, add you go thru juice you can pull your wick up they the top little bit at a time, cut off the top and you have new clean wick...

I am running a 1.3ohm horizontal MC with rolled cotton ball wick running thru both airholes and thru the coil. wicking isnt fast, but works quite well and i dont have to turn it upside down.
for my next build, ill shoot for a .8ohm dual vert MC, as posted above, with one long piece of rolled cotton going thru everything.
a friend gave me some important advice for gennys, air MUST be able to enter the tank for proper wicking. the cotton i use is loose thru the holes, on the next build ill insert a paperclip in one of the holes before adding the wick to allow more room for air to enter.
if done with the right proportion of cotton, leaking should not occur, and wicking should be improved.

i have had this for two days and i love it.

I know I'm in the minority here on my preferred Genesis setups, but I'm just addicted to cotton wicking in all my atty's.
Some of the builds you guys post are beautiful, and I do realize the advantages of steel rope/mesh/ekowool, etc. but
as far as flavor goes, I just can't let go of my cotton.

Here's one of my favorites with cotton and the Kraken
Dual mini-coil, 14 wraps of 28g with 1.8mm I.D.
Usually comes out to a modest .9 ohm build.

Slightly tedious to set up as the coils sit atop the deck screws. This one came out at .94 ohms...
2.jpg

Wick up from the bottom using 2 inches or 2 feet.
You'll want as much wick as possible sitting on the deck before entering the coils, as this helps to facilitate wicking speed.
Going around the center post, over and under each wick before entering the coil balances out the wicking to each coil.
The half inch or so wick exiting the top of the coil gets tucked in at the bottom of the deck where the opposing coils wick
enters the coil, so each coil gets evenly fed from both sides of each coil.
With your tank halfway on, stuff the rest of the wick into the tank. If you fill your tank full of wick as I did here, make sure to fold
the 2 wicks into the tank using a zig zag pattern so you can easily re-wick by pulling wick from the tank.
It's a good setup if you have a juice you never get sick of, as you can rewick or dry burn/rewick as many times as you want
just by removing the top cap and pulling wick from the tank.
5.jpg 6.jpg

Fill with a sharp needle, from the very bottom of the tank. Soon all the wicking above the deck will be a nice soupy mess.
You'll want to keep filling from the bottom of the tank even after the coils are all saturated. Moar juice!
9.jpg 10.jpg

The first time I tried this, I had a fear of the wicking in the tank pulling juice from the wicking in the coils.
No worries, you'll be surprised how much vaping you can do before that becomes an issue.
Plus, sticking a needle in the fill hole and adding juice isn't much trouble. :)

I'm not a cloud chaser, but the vapor is quite respectable, and the flavor... Oooh the flavor. :)

That's dope! I run cotton in everything and I believe it's the best ever. I think people who don't like cotton just haven't used it much before, yeah I said it... Im gonna copy your build, I like the angle of the coils allowing for best Airflow. That is what I don't lie about the kraken, problem solved, thanks bud!
Can you shoot another close up of the wick routing? Much appreciated.

Bro, buy the pulse g genny from fasttech, I have every atty out any that with a single coil and a reducer isothermal best flavor for sure, IMHO.

You can fill w/ a needle bottle thru the reducer or pull it off and run duals.
Here another one with a delrin tank I made BC it came w/ a broken tank from China, they sent me 2 new glass tanks to make up for it but I like the delrin.
