I know I'm in the minority here on my preferred Genesis setups, but I'm just addicted to cotton wicking in all my atty's.
Some of the builds you guys post are beautiful, and I do realize the advantages of steel rope/mesh/ekowool, etc. but
as far as flavor goes, I just can't let go of my cotton.
Here's one of my favorites with cotton and the Kraken
Dual mini-coil, 14 wraps of 28g with 1.8mm I.D.
Usually comes out to a modest .9 ohm build.
Slightly tedious to set up as the coils sit atop the deck screws. This one came out at .94 ohms...
Wick up from the bottom using 2 inches or 2 feet.
You'll want as much wick as possible sitting on the deck before entering the coils, as this helps to facilitate wicking speed.
Going around the center post, over and under each wick before entering the coil balances out the wicking to each coil.
The half inch or so wick exiting the top of the coil gets tucked in at the bottom of the deck where the opposing coils wick
enters the coil, so each coil gets evenly fed from both sides of each coil.
With your tank halfway on, stuff the rest of the wick into the tank. If you fill your tank full of wick as I did here, make sure to fold
the 2 wicks into the tank using a zig zag pattern so you can easily re-wick by pulling wick from the tank.
It's a good setup if you have a juice you never get sick of, as you can rewick or dry burn/rewick as many times as you want
just by removing the top cap and pulling wick from the tank.
Fill with a sharp needle, from the very bottom of the tank. Soon all the wicking above the deck will be a nice soupy mess.
You'll want to keep filling from the bottom of the tank even after the coils are all saturated. Moar juice!
The first time I tried this, I had a fear of the wicking in the tank pulling juice from the wicking in the coils.
No worries, you'll be surprised how much vaping you can do before that becomes an issue.
Plus, sticking a needle in the fill hole and adding juice isn't much trouble.
I'm not a cloud chaser, but the vapor is quite respectable, and the flavor... Oooh the flavor.
