Hi everyone!! I have been gone for a few days due to computer issues but I'm back!! My diet still is not quite as strict as it should be but it's better than it was. I went to a local ecig meet this Sat and was talking to a girl that told me about her diet and she was really skinny and just maintaining now. I think she said she lost around 30 lbs on it? Anyways, she's on the No White diet. No white stuff like bread, pasta, rice, processed things that have flour in them, im sure it probably includes mayo and ranch dressing and stuff like that too. Her diet is Animal, Vegetable & some fruit. She can eat as much meat and veggies as she wants, though she does choose chicken and fish more often over beef. And most veggies are ok except for potatoes. She said she also snacks on nuts. And eggs, although white, are good too. She made it sound so simple, but I have been realizing over the past few days that I am on the Mostly White diet apparently because I would have to cut out SO much of what I normally like to eat in order to do that diet lol. I have realized I eat SO much bread, pasta and other things that you would not eat for this diet!!! I think that it would be immensely hard for me, so just gonna stick to calorie counting.

I couldn't do that diet. Even my favorite cheese is white! (and i rarely eat any kind of meat). I like the diet advice "eat your colors" - the more colors the better :) that way if a little white creeps in it'll be ok :)

No mini workout this morning, but i went outside and cut back some plants. not much exercise, but it felt great to be outside and moving towards spring.

Well I am jumping in here. I have about 30 pounds to get rid of before I start new horses. I was 240 pounds in 1999. I gave up meat and started loosing some weight. So when I started trying to loose it was pretty easy. I actually lost 90 pounds over two years using portion control and watching carbs. I guess I have gotten a bit lax in my eating habits, that and 13 years older I need to now take off 30 pounds.
Thanks for this thread.

Yes but the 30 pounds were part of what I initially lost. They just sort of crept up on me.

Even so, if you lost 90 in the past, you can do the 30 now!! It is soooo common for people to gain back some of the weight that they lost later, it happens. Try not to be discouraged!

Loveridden-that is sorta the way I have been eating and I really like all the fresh foods. We eat all sorts of cheeses though. That is a def plus in my book since I adore cheese.

Welcome Bjannr! You know you can do the deed. Just put your mind to it-and get er done.

Instead of thinking I am on a diet, I see it as eating healthier than I ever have. As long as I am enjoying cooking and really liking the results, I will keep eating this way. If you think diet, then you go back to eating the way that added the pounds. You have to be ready to make the lifestyle change, just like we did with smoking and switching to vaping.

Hang in there AmandaMarie, you will get yourself back on tract, slow and easy is the way. Acceptance of today and tomorrow always help me. Never look back and keep moving forward!
