Man. You've got 36 mg and snus and e-cigs. That should do it.

Usually, people miss the WTA aspect and have withdrawal from cigs due to that. The snus should give you that. So IDK.

You tell us....WHY do you think smoking is necessary for you?

Most people have withdrawal and "push through it" with just the nic. Took me 3 weeks. But everyone is different. Some need the WTA aspects. Some use WTA juice. Some use snus. Some smoke still (and kinda don't mention it much). I can't tell for you. But you can.

It may be that you
A) Can push through it without the cigs with just nic in e-juice.
B) Need the WTA from snus/WTA juice

One thing that helped me was 5 volt vaping. Full hits. Warm vapor. No "long slow draw" crap. But that's me. VV these days will do the same thing using 2.5 ohm stuff.

Good Luck. Keep us posted!

Another thing is....

You read a lot of posts about "I quit on day one...blah, blah, blah." Well that's cool. And I'm glad for them. However, that wasn't me. I did like you for a few weeks....I smoked and vaped. I made dang sure that these e-cig things were working first. Then I vaped a full day without smoking. Then two. Then I finished up the last pack AND DIDN'T BUY ANYMORE. Not having them around was a big help for me.

Others Freeze a wrapped pack in a block of ice or something. My mom kept three "Emergency" packs in the freezer in a plastic bag. She ended up giving them away when ready. But it was a "security blanket" knowing they were there. For me...making sure they WEREN'T AROUND was a big thing. To each their own.

I second AttyPops...It only took me a couple of weeks, but basically I made sure the e-cigs worked and then one day headed to work with ONLY the e-cigs (a one hour commute) and realized I made it! I could have done it earlier but psychologically it was hard to let go. That was the moment, realizing I could do it. After that I was done with the analogs.

Hi thomas5150!
My opinion? Quit beating yourself up! Only 3 analogs a day now?
If you enjoy those 3 ciggies, then go right ahead and smoke them. And don't feel guilty about it either
You deserve a bit pat on the back,
You've already made a really big lifestyle change, and in not all that long a time. Not all of us are doing this to quit
smoking cigarettes entirely. I know I sure wasn't. That part, just sort of happened.

Do what you're currently comfortable with. Don't stress out or try to force it, because then it
stops being fun! Then it becomes more like a doctor's prescription slip, or something.

Be proud, have fun and it's totally still OK if you still smoke a few. Is my honest opinion

Do you look forward to these cigarettes? Smoke them, but really be mindful about it. Do you like it? How does it taste? Throat hit, vapor production, flavor? How do you feel afterwards?

Drop them all at once or one at a time...the one after dinner first, then the one before bed, then try not smoking first thing in the morning. It might take you a while to get there, but you'll get there.

Those reading this are the only ones that I will have told about this.

For me, it took several weeks also. I decided one week I was goin to try to quit the regs with work travel and didn't want to admit it but yeah, it scared the crap out of me. Cigarettes were a part of my life for a large chunk of it and it was something I always had to fall back on. For a week, after getting down to less than 5 cigs a day, I ended up goin through 2-3 packs in 5 days. Saturday after I got a new ego and new juice, I was down to one cig left in my pack, and made the determined choice to not buy a new pack. If I had them around, I knew I would smoke them and not make the change over. The whole rest of the day, I could feel the anxiety in the back of my mind. All... Day... Long....

Smoked my last cig this last Saturday night. Woke up Sunday and kind of felt like I was gonna have a panic attack. I felt THAT anxious. So, I picked up my ego which I had filled with Pure Michigan from Mister-E Liquid, and sat there and vaped my ... off until I got the edge off. I found strong sweet flavors tend to help me forget about real cigs for now, such as the one above and RY4. Plain tobacco flavors just made me want a real cig. Still kind of want a real cig, but I know I'm making a change for the good and just pick up my ego and vape.

I wish you the best of luck, you can kick the habit, I know you can do it.

I'm with Attypops and Black Strat - Congrats on getting it down to three! Don't worry about the three cigs a day - just don't increase from there and vape heavily when you need to. For me the cigarettes tasted like garbage after a short while and just didn't need them anymore. I kept two packs of cigarettes for about 6 months in case I really needed them. They ended up in the garbage untouched.

Seems to me it's because you haven't found a flavor that you absolutely say to yourself "yummm" when you vape it, or you wouldn't be turning to the cigs again. I think you need to try some other flavors and switch up maybe on what cartomizer/atomizer or whatever it is that you are using. Sorry, I didn't read the entire thread but that's my guess. If you absolutely love your juice, you won't want another cig.

It took me a year of going back and forth to get rid of cigarettes. This is what I learned:

  • It was impossible for me to quit with the mindset that 'this cigarette is my last cigarette'
  • My greatest stretches without cigarettes worked with time off
  • I tended to smoke less in places I usually didn't smoke in, e.g. when I was home from school or went somewhere for the first time
  • I replaced one addiction with another

Don't quit smoking forever, and don't go in with that mindset. I haven't really smoked for a year, but I actually tried to smoke again just for fun and I didn't want to, I actually found it disgusting.

Instead, splurge a little on a ProVari or something. Look at it like money you'll save from cancer drugs that you would have needed down the line. Buy some good tasting e liquid, but go for something that isn't a tobacco flavor, not because it physically matters, but vaping something called Marlboro isnt the mindset you want to be in. Find a nice chocolate or vanilla and just run with it.

All you need to do is take a three day break, not quit forever. If you happen to smoke, vape a lot to make up for it. The reason I say this is you need to develop your addiction to the ecig so it overpowers your cigarette addiction.

Im sure a lot of people will disagree with what im saying, but ive lived it and i swear by it.

One last thing, i dont smoke anymore but i still consider myself a smoker. being a smoker gives you the power to smoke when you want to. the trick is to not want to.

I agree with GreekLion. When I started vaping, I told myself it didn't mean I was never going to smoke again. I just couldn't tell my mind that horrible of a message because I loved cigs so much. And when I've had friends start vaping and they got all tensed up about quitting smoking, I've told them it didn't mean they can never smoke again. That any time you vape and smoke one less cigarette is better than constantly smoking. That's the mindset we have to all start with, and hopefully you find enough satisfaction eventually that you no longer want a cigarette. I was lucky and didn't care at all about cigs or ever feel like I was missing out on anything by vaping. I have to admit though that once or twice I wondered if it would be nice to have a cig and actually tried to smoke and couldn't. I had to throw them out after a couple puffs. The vapor was thin, the draw was really stiff compared to vaping, and the taste wasn't as good as my vanilla cream eliquid. lol. Now that to me is a miracle! But you definitely need some yum juice and tobaccos didn't do it for me.

From the time I got my kit, eleven days ago, I dropped from a pack a day to five cigs a day. Immediately. WOW! Yesterday I dropped to 4 cigs. As I am typing this, the debate raging in my mind is to smoke that first cig, I have already had three cups of coffee and the last eleven days have been usually 1 cig to each cup. Another WOW!! Yes, I will probably give in to that little devil on my back, but I hope that tomorrow I can say that I have dropped at least one more cig from my daily habit. Yes, the cigs taste nastier and nastier, but I do hope that before that last carton of cigs is gone, I will hate the taste of them enough to not want them. In the meantime, I will not beat myself up for smoking them.
I started smoking when I was 16 and I am just weeks from being 52. That is a long time developing that habit. It will take some time to break it. I may have a very hard time getting rid of them but I am looking forward to trying to.
Now I need to talk to that devil......

On my 1st week of vaping I was still smoking 1 cig each morning. And each day the cig taste nastier and I don't seem to get much satisfaction on it. When I finished the pack I decided to try to start the day with vaping instead. Going 4 days now and haven't got the urge for a smoke since. Don't worry too much about it. 3 cigs a day is a whole lot better than smoking a pack.

It sounds like you're obsessing about getting enough nicotine by smoking, using snus, and vaping. Erase all stress related to smoking. You don't have to quit smoking if you don't want to. Play with different flavors and get a variable voltage battery. Vape the same flavor at different settings and you may find your personal "sweet spot." There's no right or wrong way with vaping. I would strongly suggest you cut down the nic level, and just vape to your heart's content, knowing that if you want you can light up at any time. Heck, smoke and vape at the same time, just make sure you don't OD on nic. Have fun, and enjoy your new toys.

I guarantee you that without the stress, you will find yourself one day lighting up that cigarette and gagging! That's what happened to me 1 1/2 weeks after I started vaping. For some it happens in one day, for others it takes weeks/months/years. But jump up and down when the day comes (and it will) when you'll throw away the cigs you have and start worrying about having enough juice LOL.
