If what I read is correct, then Imperial tobacco bought My von erl company and renamed the device Myblu.

I just ordered the Myblu starter kit which comes with a 2.4% nic tobacco pod and your choice of 4 other pods at either 2.4% or 1.2%. I had no real interest in it but it was only $5 plus tax shipped free direct from the company. That's probably the cost of the shipping alone. Guess they're hoping to win new loyal customers. I'm not sure if I will actually try it out or just keep it as an emergency backup... if I run out of pods or coils for my regular devices, etc.

I picked one of these up at a local Walgreens a while ago. The packaging, while branded as MyBlu, looked different and the battery still said VonErl on it. I loved it. The Gold Leaf pod tasted exactly like Halo Tribeca to me. I refilled the pods many many times, even took one apart to rewick and dry burn the coil. Worked great until I dropped it and now it won't charge anymore. I tried to order the intro offer from the blu website but it said they could not ship to California!

The Suorin Eva
  • 110mm x 21mm x 13mm (H x L x W)
  • 1.8mL cartridge
  • 380mAh battery
This product design uses the most popular appearance of the current market elements; slim and compact. The shape is very easy to carry and reasonable space design allows it to have a more powerful battery life.

For different user needs, we have the best matting in the aluminum shell and UV process technology; giving the product a stylish appearance, while having a comfortable texture in the hand.

The newest of the Suorin Vape family, featuring a slim, curved body and a revolutionary vaping style. The best closed loop device on the market. The Vagon features a 310mAh integrated battery and 2.5mL refillable pods.

The Suorin Eva looks interesting.

The design looks a lot like the iShare Single. The Eva has a better internal battery and no external battery pack. I wonder how the vapor production compares.

Looks like the drip tip on the Eva is removable and washable which is nice.

On the Suorin Air and Drop, the drip tip is an integral part of the pod and condensation/e-liquid spatter build up inside the chimney. Yesterday, I tried rinsing it out with a syringe and flat tip needle. I held the pod upside down so water wouldn't go to the coil/cotton. It worked okay but they really aren't designed to be cleaned.

The pod mod game is overwhelming. I swear they are coming out with one a day at this point.

There are a lot of new ones. There's some innovation but many are just copies. And some of the copies seem to be more focused on appearance than function... I think sometimes they even lose track of what made the original great.

OVNS (maker of the Saber) is coming out with a copy of the Suorin Air. They're calling it the Vape-X. I like that it has the magnetic attachment and on/off switch like the Air. But I don't like that the Vape-X pods are fully covered up when inserted in the device. One of the things that I like about the Air is that you can see the liquid and cotton without removing the pod. But OVNS went with a more streamline appearance. They also illuminated the logo.

It looks just like a first gen iphone. Not to mention that pod in your picture looks wrecked.
The logo lighting up is pretty cool though.

I bought the Vapeccino Mate 1. It arrived yesterday. This is my first foray into pods. It came with the MTL pod. Initially it seemed pretty hard to draw on but after a bit it loosened up a smidge and now it draws pretty nice, but it is still a tight draw, tighter than I expected.

So far, I like it but time will tell.

Keep us updated :thumb: The Mate 1 was at the top of my list when I was getting started but the lack of availability led me to choose something else. A few places have them now but it's still easier to find heavy discounts on pods for more common devices.

An update on the Vapeccino Mate 1...I've been using this for a few days now. I'm using the MTL pod. It's a fairly tight draw. At first I was using 12 mg juice with it. I really don't want to mess with nic salts. The 12 mg was a little light so I got a couple of small bottles of 18 mg juice to try with this thing and it works much better with 18 mg. It's a nice satisfying vape with 18 mg.

Good to know. :thumb: I will eventually pick up either the Mate1 or something similar. The MyBlu (only got it because of the promo) reminded me how much I enjoy a ciga-like.

There's some interesting competition from Smok Fit and Infinix. According to some reviews, the SMOK Infinix is the better of the two. I've heard the Fit is airy/loose and the exposed fill slot can lead to leaks in your pocket. The Infinix doesn't suffer from those problems.

I've also got my eye out for more info on the Suorin Eva. A big benefit is that the entire drip tip is removable. So it should be easy to clean and easy to fill.

Btw...I've found that some Drop devices have problems with the sensor. Get a good one and it's a nice tight pull. Get a bad one and you'll turn blue in the face trying to get the sensor to draw activate. The good one was a new color but I don't know if the new ones are better than the old ones or if it is just a random problem. If you get one that's difficult to activate, try to get it replaced. I'm loving the good one.

Pod systems. First impressions.
First off when vaping first started, i was able to quit cigs for about three months. After a devastating personal crisis, picked up the cigs again. although I was smoking, continued to vape on and off with various variable voltage mods and juices. the fancier mods did not perform to my expectations. I was unable to find the right sweet spot to put the cigs down again. Another aspect I was dissatisfied with was the work involved with using tanks. mostly a pain to change coils, and also having to deal with leaks. add to that I was never able to get the vapor production that i saw everyone else getting. Last summer i left my overpriced mod and tank in my truck, and it is still sitting there today unused.
About a month ago, I was reading an article about kids in school vaping in class with the JUUL device. The kids ,in my experience always know where to get the good dope. being pretty much disgusted with cigs, and checking out information on nicotine salts, I figured they were worth a try.
The JUUL- received it, charged it and took a hit. not a lot of vapor, but I was impressed with the throat hit, and the nicotine buzz. already I started reducing the amount of cigs i was smoking. saw a light at the end of the tunnel, and thought these pod systems might be what i was looking for. these are OK for stealth vaping, but not much else. pods are too small, too expensive, and it wasn't giving me the kick i was looking for to jump off the smoking cliff. continued to do my research on you tube, and came up with the following two setups....
The joy tech Dolphin. choice number two on my JUUL replacement plan. The upgraded version of the penguin. other than having to prime the coils, this setup gets an A on functionality, vapor production, throat hit, and battery life. after a week of use i find this to be an excellent device for my needs. coils are not that expensive, and offer MTL, and DTL vaping. user friendly, you can purchase extra tanks to have different flavors on hand, so you are not stuck with one flavor. everything a person needs to put the smokes down.
The MI POD- Choice one on my JUUL replacement plan. This system gets an A+ rating. I absolutely love it so far. powerful throat hits, plenty of vapor production, and at a size that also suits my needs. As with the dolphin I purchased multiple tanks with the starter kit, so I can have Variety throughout the day. tank and atomizer are sold as on unit. smoking vapor claims these tanks can be refilled 5 time. (we'll see). still the price is reasonable on the tanks, so no complaints after a week of use on both the MI POD, And the Dolphin.
I used the last of my tobacco 15 hours ago. chugging away on the Dolphin, and the MI POD. Have not yet checked the couch cushions once for half burned cigs, or felt the desire to run to the store for another bag of tobacco. I think I finally found the solution to my problem. going one day at a time, and hydrating all the way. hope this helps.

I have the Juul and Smok Infinix. Love the Smok Infinix. It's great. 3 replacement pods are $13.75 on ebay. The only negative is that it only has a 250mAh battery. Battery life is still better than the Juul but wish it had at least 300mAh or more.

I realize they're coming out with new pod mods every month.
Hoping someone will come out with something just like the Infinix but with a better battery.

I'm considering the Vapeccino Mate 1 (410mAh battery). I believe the replacement pods are about $7 for 2.
I don't think this system is easily available right now.

Any suggestions?
If not, I guess I'll wait another month for the next new set of pod mods to hit the market.

Vapeccino Mate1 hasn't impressed me so far. Pods are just okay. The coils don't last longer than average despite the gold coil technology claims and the paint on the device is very thin too. For the same money I like my Aspire Breeze much better. Gonna try the Suorin iShare kit and Vaporesso Nexus next.

The Vapeccino Mate1 is available. I'm new and don't know if posting links to dealers is allowed so I'll just say that you can easily find it with a Google search. You just missed a big sale by about one day. I almost bought it but decided to buy the Infinix instead.

The Suorin Eva (posted above) looks similar to the Infinix but it has a 380mAh battery. One dealer says it will be available at the end of May.

If the ONLY problem with the Infinix is the battery, then why not buy another one? They're small enough to carry 2. The Ebay price seems high. I paid $10 retail for a pack of 3 pods from a dealer... actually ended up about $9 per 3 pack after a coupon and free shipping (over a minimum amount).

I also use the Juul, Drop, Air, and Breeze (not a pod system).
