so whats the story on the lava tube and dual coils, i know that you cant turn the votage up like you would on a standard restance but can it be used on the lava tube. thats like they say you cant use lr cartos but you can you just cant run them on higher votages. some people have been saying that the button cant handle them but i want to know for sure if they can be used before i place an order

There is no point in taking the risk of using LR or dual coil cartos/atties on an LT. Reason being is that LR/dual coil is meant to replicate using high voltage a carto/atty with the voltage turned up. So just get a HV and turn the voltage up :) then you won't risk busting your gear. It's not the button that can't handle it though... think of it like putting a carto or atty on your car battery @ 12V and expecting it to work... it's just too much voltage and it will break.

I wouldn't get the high resistance stuff just get standard resistance. You can still crank up the voltage a fair deal.

The thing with the LT is that it's fail safe is its protection. If the amperage draw is too much it auto bumps the voltage down therefore not killing itself or turning it into a potential pipe bomb :D

If you want to use a Dual Coil 1.5 just pick up a Rough Stack/Bolt/Silver Bullet/Precise 18650 or any mechanical mod with an 18650 battery. If you want to run a Boge 3.0 cartomizer at 4.7v in a tank, a Lava Tube works nicely. I think they really are just for SR single coil stuff. Want a dual coil thrill? Get a 3.0ohm dual coil cartmizer fill it with juice, punch two holes in it, put it in a tank and put it on the Darwin and turn it all the way UP! only 2 amps at 6.5volts. Fun!

Still have to worry a bit about the amp limit and voltage limit on the Lava Tube when you are running a dual coil of any type. I would say if you must use a dual coil the best one would be 2.0. I have one that is about 1.9 and you can run it much further up than a 1.5. You can technicality use any atomizer out there. But you have to remember that dual coils were made to mimic high voltage vaping on a single big battery mod. Then people tried them out on their 5 volt mods and they really made a ton of vapor. All these atomizers and cartomizers out there were not made for the kinds of devices we have today, they are for the devices we had a year and a half ago. The VV stuff everyone is enjoying now is all based on making a 2.5 single coil atomizer better. Because before we were pushing that same atomizer with a 510 battery at 3.2 volts. I have one on my lava tube right now at 4.7 and its great.

i use the boge 3.0 now in a tank but wanted to try something new also im finding that the boges get a burn taste very fast, im getting alot of burnt juice when i blow it out and i dont even run at 5v usually about 4.5 and after about 3 days need to replace carto so wanted to try something new and see if it will last a little bet longer. also gonna try some kanger horizontal coil to see if they last longer. what seems to happen for me is down in the centre tube a little juice makes its way in there and burns on the wire causing the burnt taste,if i push a paperclip down the hole it pushes out black gunk and the gunk also plugs up the hole causing the tank to suck up too much juice, so if there is a carto that dont have a wire running down this center tube should fix most of the problem

Vaping devices with VV are meant to be used with SR cartomizers (2.5 ohm and higher). LR/DCCs are meant for 3.7V devices. Really don't know why people insist on using LR cartos on VV devices. It just make them useless.

I use LRs on my 14650/3.7V mod and it performs fantastically.

I don't have a VV, but it's basic common sense to me.
