K guys... was just turned on to the COOLEST new vapeshop in the universe. Called 'Alice in Vapeland' and they don't have a slew of flavors yet cause they're new, but each and every one they have sounds amazing. Really amazing sounding blends. Can't wait to try the Cupcake City, Sweet Tease (sweet tea), He Said/She Said, Black and White Cookie, and Crunkberries. Heck wanna try all of em. Anyway, they have a 5 flavor sampler for $11!!! Plus they do lovely things, like gorgeous business cards, choice of glass or fliptop bottle, and little charms on bottles... really a nice place. My guru of all things creative discovered them, and gifted them the artwork she created for their 'sampler' pack. Isn't it cool!? Anyway, she's raving about the juices, and says use coupon code 'howdy' for a 20% discount, and to tell em 'orachel @ deviantscrap' sent you. lol I dunno why, but if you try em, go with it. <3 Gonna order just as soon as moola arrives. Man, with discount the 5 flavor sampler is ridiculous! lol

A Delectable Sampler | Alice in Vapeland

And DEFINITELY excited about that new LT! Even my guy... historically NOT a lavatube lover, is thinking of getting one for his backup once the colors come out. Wonder what they'll look like in the colors? And dying to know how 'substantial' the metal bodies are... like are they as hefty as the solid metal ones, I wonder? Hoping so... that gunmetal grey one is calling my name, me thinks.

 not sure i am following the diagram.....So to get the most out of the batteries of a lava tube (output, life) then a 1.5 or 2.0 ohm cart locked in at 4.4V is heavy? same as a 2.0 ohm bridgeless atty? (which FYI i find it heats up the mod LT way to quick).... also on the other side of the scale a 3.0 ohm horizontal Kanger would work best at 5V or 5.5V (which seems to kill the battery quicker)?

I never did get math growing up, so even trying this all out with a Calculator is like speaking Russian to me

Here's a little bench test for you: The voltage is the constant, at 3.7v and the ohm rating is the variable.

1.5 ohm = more energy drawn from the battery to get the same voltage through the atty.

3.0 ohm = less energy drawn from the battery to get the same voltage though the atty.

This is because of resistance.

On the other hand.

If you are running a 3.0 ohm atty at 3.7v you are using less energy from the battery than if you are running 5.5v through that same 3.0 ohm atty.

I haven't seen this diagram you are talking about; perhaps the one on the very first post? Perhaps not. In any event, the above is my understanding from reading various sources of information since I began vaping and some general electrical knowledge beforehand.

I am a complete dunce so my apologies for rewording this, but i am trying to work it out in my head; SR on low volts = not that great in actual use (taste, throat hit, vapor production) but uses less power.....SR on high voltage = great in actual use but horrid on battery power......

that being said:

LR on slighty higher volts (say 4.4) = great in actual use and battery power?

yes i was referring to the first post, and like normal got myself so turned around and backwards this is not even funny

Correct

SR on high voltage = great in actual use but horrid on battery power......

Well I wouldn't say it's "horrid", but yes, it will drain the battery faster then the aforementioned.

I run my LT with a 1.5ohm atty at 4.1v. I get great use out of it ALL day with vape, TH, taste and battery life. Would I get more batter life at 3.7v, yes, is it just as good, almost, but I perfer it a little higher around 4.1v. End in the end though, I guess I would say, Correct to the above.

i think you are getting me turned around now.....

 i was just about to say the light bulb went over my head, i get it now, as i have a 1.5ohm boge, at 4.4v and it is great throat hit for 100% VG Watermelon flavor, and a few others like the star dust and pheonix...

HULP!!!! i confused Crack3dOne in my confusion to get me unconfused.....

as i wait for someone smarter then i to help i want to say thank you very much, now i get it, and i have written it down as well, so as i do not have to get anyone else going through this.

I'm all out of Boge right now. I gave my only atty to my GF so should could try a little dripping out.

Patiently waiting on my ikenvape order............

I'm using the volcano generic cartos right now.........they get the job done in a pinch.

I heard about the name ikenvape before, know nothing about them, and volcano carto's? never heard of those.....then again bare in mind i have my heard burried under a rock a lot of times

Volcano makes the Lavatube. Their standard cartomizers.

VOLCANO Cartomizer Pack - Blanks | Best E-Cigs

Ikenvape.com has the best, IMHO, selecation of atty's at a wide range of ohms, sizes, and applications. Check them out, great store.

just got my Dragon totem ego's (900mah) seems they are kicking out 3.9V (before i charge them for the first time), have to say that a 2.0 ohm aty for dripping is very nice, the boge seems horrid, a star dust is meh, but the LT is doing some killer vapor and taste on some LR (1.5 i think?) Generic carts for the DCT.....the cotton is pushed down so far in there......but at 4.4V on the LT........again seriously nice, same as the boge's....

I tried the kangers at this setting and i have to say there is no love.....so i am holding off until Tuesday when the altoids box mod is in my hands and try again otherwise two of them are headed to the garbage can.....

I just wanted to say thanks for the info Crack3dOne....me thinks it is now time to lock the voltage at 4.4V, use my tanks and boge on it, and not have to worry, unless the battery goes below 3.6V and it is off to the charger with said batteries ;)
