Yeah, I just did. Got a few Low Res guts for my Apollo/Excalibur Supreme tank (i theenk DV is the only vendor selling the LR ones, at least only one I've seen, so far) and they're the cheapest Ive seen em there, too. Plus got the fabulous vv V8 is glossy patent black... looks sharp and I love the effect the pwm gives! Such an intense vape, and I got a ludicrous deal on it, too! Yahoo! Plus a snazzy chrome drip tip. Love his gyroidal ones, but got a different one this time. And he has the tips specifically designed for the Apollo tanks cheap. I didn't get that one, but wanted it and some of his new juices, so they're on my wish list. Can't wait till my V8 shows up, though! ;) Now when the colored Apollo/Excalibur supreme tanks come in at Vapors-choice I'll get a glossy black one (think it'll look cool with shiny black pv in the v8) and stock up on my Peanut Butter Banana juice, and then do my TVR order for the month, and get my Alice in Vapeland stuff, and my month of vape gear buying will be over on the first day of the month! rofl Man... need to find a way to earn some moola vaping, so I can indulge more of my vape dreams! rofl

Errol, going to read your post now, since I'm constantly on the hunt for a good way to 'taste' juices with diy. I love the avidvaper 306 cisco attys, but cleaning attys is such a royal pain in the tailfeathers, and I don't drip that often, on day to day, so I don't have many of them. Makes it a pain in the tail to diy. I've been wanting to try the phoenix anyway, and this is as good a reason as any to give em a whirl. ;)

I had terrible luck with the phoenix but many, many swore by them. Fortunately for me they are a strong vape as a drip atty or they would have been a waste as so many other vaporizers have been.

It an easy matter to clean them with the tube and center post out of the way. I just boil mine in the microwave for a two or three minute, blow them off and do a dry burn at 3v until they glow red. They have small wicks and I can use them almost immediately.

You don't need to cut the tube to use it as a drip atty, just leave the center post out after cleaning then you can put it back together and use it as intended if it was working well for you out of the box.

Rachel, which are you preferring on your SS the LR or SR guts for the Apollo/Excal (I usually run my cartos around 2ohm), do I need an adapter for the Vtube, and which tips are made for the tank? I'm ordering from him probably tomorrow and trying to get my ducks in a row. Also, who is making PB and banana? That sounds wonderful, I love a good banana vape but am having a hard time finding one all of a sudden.

The Peanut butter and Banana is from vapors-choice, and tastes JUST like warm banana bread. YUM< and only $10/oz at Vapors Choice, Ecigarettes & Parts in the 'other' juice flavors section. $3 for 10ml, if you wanna try a baby size, but I'm kicking myself I didn't just get the ounce to start with. lol Same place with best price on E2 tank itself, but they're sold out now... trying to hold out to get juice till they're back in stock so I can get a glossy black chrome e2). They have a good 'French Vanilla Keoke Coffee' too. I don't like it quite as much as the Fr Van Coffee at the vapor room, but its awfully close, and much cheaper. ;)

Errol... any chance you might be able to take a quick photo of how the bc phoenix ends up looking after you mod it for dripping? No worry aT ALL if its a hassle, just if you have quick easy ability to snap with phone or something. Trying to picture way you describe mod, but having a hard time getting there. Course, I don't have a phoenix yet (keep trying to get someone to trade me for just ONE so I can try it, since I know chances are I'll hate em and be stuck with a whole pacck, but no dice yet. lol) so will probably be much more self explanatory what to do once I'm looking at one. lol

And apuck.. haven't tried the LR yet, just ordered em today from DV for first time. I do like the sr, but my normal vape is a 1.7 at about 4.5v, so thinking with the 1.8 ohm low res (at low end of the spectrum) at about 4-4.2 would be about right on the v8, since PWM makes it so darn intense. ;) I'll letcha know what I think when I get em, though, for sure. I dont know if any other vendors are selling multiple resistances, or if that's just DV, but so far dv seems to be best on the innards, and VC on tank themselves (though someone just told me DV apollo tanks are on sale... somehow I missed that today). AND asked Eric if he'll be carrying the actual same wicking and wire used to build em, cause I'd LOVE to get some to practice rebuilding em, since it is possible. I just have ZERO experience rebuilding, so no clue what to buy, and I love that specific wicking since its SO easy to rinse clean and switch flavors. Anyone have any insight as to what wicking material that is, or wire, or where to go about getting em offhand? Know that's a weird question.. should ask Lord Davon since he's doing some rebuilding on em.

As to the tips...this is the one made for it...
http://www.discountvapers.com/e2-apollo-tank-drip-tip/
I got this one instead...
http://www.discountvapers.com/drip-tip-chrome-metal/
And I have this one.. fave tip EVER, and looks seriously cool on the Apollo! SERIOUSLY cool. LOVE this tip.
http://www.discountvapers.com/drip-tip-510-gyriodal-stainless-steel-drip-tips/
Oh, and I keep hearing how good the 'knucklehead' tips are on the Apollo, since vaping it upright is best (like if you're mellow and lounging). I'm getting mine when I get my sample pack of 5 juices at alice in vapeland for $11, black knuckle tip is like $4, and everything is 20% off with code 'howdy' during their sale. But they only have the black. DV has the black for about $4 also. They have a few pages of nice driptips, actually. Not really elaborate ones, but a nice selection of lots of shapes and materials. Here's a killer deal on the knuckleheads in colors for only $4 from Elec Cig of Houson. Black and white swirly one (2 options) I'll bet would look killer on the black or white shiny chrome apollo. Red swirl looks like it might be a good match to red tank, too.
http://electroniccigarettesofhouston.com/510-Swivel-Drip-Tip-510-Swivel-Drip-Tip.htm

Do wanna snag one of the really elaborate SIAM mod stainless tips, though, but I already have a few of the gyroidal ones (above) so I decided to try that other stainless one. ;) Next on my list is a nice blown glass tip for Cisco 306 from ecig express, though. Hate the crummy black delrin one I got. lol

BTW, someone just told me Rochester vapors has the apollo tanks, colored, for $10 with free shipping, so if someone wants JUST an E2 tank in color, that might be good option, and they're in stock now.

So any 510 drip tip will work with the Apollo? Please let me know what Eric says about wick and wire, I'd be interested in rebuilding also. I looked for that glossy black tank you were talking about, but I didn't see a pic of it. I'm going to order one of the V8s also, so I just wanted to check it out. Post a pic or link if you can, I realize they are out of stock but would like to peek anyhow.

Ugh, just noticed Eric is out of the Xtar WP2 II. Everytime I go to order one of those they are out of stock. Anybody know who else carries them?

Yep, 310 vapers is cheapest, but they were outta stock a while ago... hopefully in now. ALSO, RTD vapor, and they're the best price on AW IMRS, plus, they have the 'extra spacers' for it for 50 cents, so that's a killer place to get charger and batteries. Bout same price at RTD that Eric at DV charges...They also have the CUTEST little 'keychain' holder w carabiner for a few mini bottles, few cartos, extra batt... whatever. That's here... and only $2.50 or so. You'll be able to find the batts and xtar and spacers no sweat... easy categories.
1333897664727-1383256862.jpeg

Nylon battery case
Cutest handiest 'guy friendly' vape accessory ever. lol Also, RTD has a KILLER selection of steel/chrome driptips, so you may wanna check there also for your ideal for the apollo/e2. And yes... one of the coolest things about that tank is unlike most, you can use ANY 510 driptip on it. You'll have the occasional one that won't fit, just like with anything, but vast majority do. Oh, and think there's an ecf coupon somewhere for RTD for 5-10% off in coupon code master list. Not positive, though.
Lemme find you a photo of the 'colored' apollo E2 Excalibur supreme tanks that are going to be avail at vapors-choice any day now... I LOVE the chrome, black, white, and blue... Oh, and when the new lavatubes with totally new body style come out at Volcano in a few days, a week or so later they're getting 'colors' in the metal, just like their 'ego' batteries, in those same colors, so hopefully some of the 'colors' will match. So far, looks like chrome/black and blue might match pretty well. Wish to hell they sold the apollo in 'gunmetal' since I think that's the color I'm getting on my new lavatube. ;)

rocket-tank.jpg

right now just avail at rochestorvapor.com for $10 plus free shipping, but should be $7 at vapors-choice in a few days, and they carry the extra 'innards' whereas rochestor does not, unfortunately. BUT rochestor does have the batteries to match in a bunch of colors, and your choice of mah, super cheap... so you can get a totally matching 3.7v unit that has flashing lights and everything. lol

Rocket Tank E2 - Rochester Vapor

Rocket Battery E2 - Rochester Vapor

BTW, these are the colors the new body style lrider lavatube will be avail in, after the initial chrome and gunmetal. There's a thread around here somewhere from volcano with pics, or someone maybe errol posted it yesterday... but also will be avail in just a few weeks in these colors. I dunno... love new body style, w 'provari' style body and blue display and ohm meter and everything, w 3 amp restriction... and REALLY love the chrome and gunmetal. But how fun would a hot pink lt be for a lady? lol Kinda think I'd tire of it early, but sure would be fun for a while. lol So you can see, some of those match the apollo tanks ok, some not so ok. Chrome on chrome would be killer, but boy... would love apollo tank in gunmetal!

Here's the discussion re the new lavatube body coming out. They just totally flipped my lid and revealed that these new ones are NOT lrider! Now I don't know what the heck to do... stick with the chrome v2 with 3-4amp and resistance meter, or go new body style with blue display. Or wait and see what marvel lrider comes up with next. lol If neither of the other two are lrider, then as far as I'm concerned either could have issues as yet unrevealed, whereas with lrider, we sorta generally know what to expect, how accurate specs are, etc. That makes my life MUCH more complex right now. And volcano isn't revealing who's building the new ones, cause they don't wanna get ripped off right away again... which I understand... but that means no way for me to research track record of manufacturer. That just went from a 'buying the second it comes out' thing, to a 'waiting ages to see all reviews' thing, and i'm seriously bummed about that. lol

I bought my charger and batts from Orbtronic: XTAR WP2 II intelligent 18650 lithium-ion battery charger

IMHO, they have a great selection, and fast shipping. Hope this helps! :)

For anyone who is interested, here is Intellicig's website I order ECOpure Rich from: intellicig-USA.com Buy Intellicig EVO Electronic Cigarette by intellicig, The intelligent e-smoking e-cig alternative.

Also, I just discovered another (new?) Intellicig website: Intellicig USA, Electronic Cigarettes, ECOpure | Intellicig USA

The old site I had saved in my favs was their site in England, and when I went back to it, this (new?) site was up.

Obviously, the company is the same, the site names are similar, and the products are the same, but it's two completely different sites.
I hope this isn't too confusing!

Okay, I'm a total noob to LT's, but I gotta say -- thanks to Orachel's help, I bot new cartos, etc for my SuperNova (VaporNine's version of LT) and I am LOVING this thing!! AWEsome vapor and flavor and no more probs, leaking, nothing! New cartos seem to be lasting well, super easy to use and fill, batts last well and charge pretty quick -- I'm hooked!! :)

Thanks Rachel, don't know what I would have done without you!!! :)

(sorry i have a issue with this information going around saying that all you need to do is take a dual coil and cut one wire so as only only coil will work....umm this means the second would create a short unless i am wrong?)

Constantine,
Actually, you are wrong! I have done this to numerous dual coil catos since getting my new LT (L-Rider V1 innards which doesn't play well with 1.5ohm DCC). Snipping the top wire does remove one coil from the circuit leaving you with a single coil carto at double the resistance of the dual coil. This is because the two coils are wired in parallel. Also, if they were wired in series you would have an open circuit not a short anyway.

orachel,
Still haven't tried the new tank but have started tasting TVR juices. I started with the Cinnamon Danish Swirl and you are right girl; one of the best juices I have ever tasted. I've also tried the Wild Berry which is good too. Ginger's Tobacco is just okay and I'll probably add some junky Chinese Tobacco PG I have to strengthen it up. Forty years of smoking two packs a day leaves one with a different take on tobacco flavor!

I love the colored excalibur tanks and even like the flashy multi-color light one. Looking forward to them arriving.

I understand how devastating the news that the new body-style LT is not an L-Rider is to you. I think you should take Crack3dOne up on his generous offer and give it a try. Sounds like a win-win proposition.

I've also used up my July vaping budget already (and then some) so I will sit back and see how everything shakes out. Tanks, new LTs, the new juice vendor; by the begining of August I should have my wish list ready to go (as if I can really hold out that long)

I'll do better than that Rachel, I'll give you a link to the review where the idea originated. The review is for the CE3 Clearomizer but as far as I can see they are identical to the Phoenix.

Have you ever thried the Echo DC 808/901 Cartomizer? It was my favorite vape for a long time and has excellent taste and Vapor. Just started using them again in rotation with all my clearos and they do stand out for flavor on the juices I use. The reason I ask is I'm happy to give you a new CE3 Clearo, plus one that I've already modded and a new Echo DC Carto with 901 threads to try if you'll pay the shipping, about $1.50. PM me for instructions if you're interested.

The mod is at the bottom of the page

Rachel, thanks I forgot about 310 and they do have the charger back in stock and cheaper than everywhere else. I agree those little nylon cases are great, I got one from Sweet-vapes for free with my first order they call theirs a "Bottle Buddy", I didn't think I'd ever use it, but now I have a bunch of junk jammed in it and just leave it in my car for emergencies.

Can you please holler when they get those beautiful shiny colored tanks in (since I will probably forget), I'm ordering a V8 today too, and you are right that black one will look slick with it, plus my wife is a green freak and the green one would match her eGos beautifully.

K, I might have just tracked down flavors TVR uses... not 100% sure, but I'll keep ya'll in the loop. My goal is to be able to make my own cinn danish swirl or something along those lines, since that juice is a good 1/3 of my vape budget since I vape so much of it! lol Really crossing fingers, but won't be able to try it out for a few weeks, since just got all my juices for this month from TVR and Alice in Vapeland, so will have to wait to try the diy flavors. Btw, that Alice in Vapeland.. crossing fingers, but I ended up with 2 15ml bottles... the Black n White cookie (3 people so far say it tastes just like an oreo! Can't wait!), and Cupcake City, plus a 5 flavor sampler, plus a knucklehead drip tip, all for like $30 shipped with their coupon code 'howdy' for 20% off). They ARE getting 30 and 60ml sizes, too, I checked. Makes me nuts when vendors only sell half ounces. lol

FunnyFarm... Yay! Which cartos did you end up trying, hon? And I'm so glad you love em, which ever they are. Thinking they were the resurrectors for tanks, maybe? Huh.. don't remember. My brain is fried. lol

VideoDave! Yay! Another convert to that addictive juice! lol Does get a little better with a few days steep, but is quite tasty just out of the bottle. I could do without many many things if forced (but please, nobody force me! lol) but could not do without that juice. ;) Glad to hear the Berry is good. My friend Marie likes that one.

Errol! Thank you so seriously much! Would absolutely love to try your modded bits! You totally just made my day, man! I'll pm ya. ;) And another kind soul here (thank you thank you, Chris!!!) offered to hook me up with one of those phoenix I've been slathering to try, so I'll be seriously set, and avoid the dreaded '4 cartos I dislike left in box' scenario. lol Thanks HUGE, guys!

And yeah, may end up just giving the new tube a whirl, I'm just in a quandry now, cause I SOOOO love my stainless, and crystal clear will have the V2 (we think its about a 3.5amp restriction, based on their testing) in chrome up for sale, soon, so now I can't decide which I want. Both have the ohm meter. Was gonna err on side of Lrider, but neither of them are. lol I'll have a few weeks to decide, though, so I'm happy. New body type is so cool, but guessing it won't be quite as substantial as the chrome body, and I kinda prefer the long skinny body to short one... just haven't decided yet, basically. Blue display sounds killer, too. Grargh. I am SO not a wishy washy person with big decisions, but little ones, like this.. they'll drive me round the bend. lol And thank you guys for the awesome offer! I'm pretty confident either of them will work as advertised and I'd be cool, but just got burned 2 pv purchases in a row with delays and malfunctioning, so i'm gunshy. lol Just a royal vaping woosy, basically. ;)

And yeah, apuck, I'll yell when I see em in stock at vapors-choice. I did just finally give in and order my peanut butter banana juice in big bottle, just couldn't wait for tanks, anymore. But I do have a chrome one, so the colored one would just be pretty. lol Guessing your wife is gonna LOVE the green. I love it too, just don't have anything it wouldn't look weird on, I don't think. Gotta figure out how to mod those 'cores' for the E2 so they're happier with thick vg juice, I think. Either that or REALLY dilute some of my VG juice. I tried a semi diluted juice 100% VG, and it still won't wick. Getting nothing but burned hits, sigh. Can I ask.. what blend are you guys using on your E2s? Trying to figure how thin it wants the juice to be, if that makes sense. Got one of my juices today with extra extra flavor so it'll still be tasty even if i thin it like crazy. And don't let any of that scare anyone off the E2... this is totally a problem with my super thick 100% VG.. not the tank. I'm literally the only person I've heard of having this problem. ;)

BTW, anyone here ever tried Copper Creek 'Chocolate Chip Cookie' juice? Was just reading reviews, and they all say how 'dead on' flavor is. Sounds intriguing. If I could get a good choco chip cookie juice, I'd be a happy happy girl. lol Their Danish, Pumpkin Pie also sound pretty good. Sadly, none of those are avail in the sampler other than the danish, but man.. they've got killer prices on samplers. I can't vape em cause they have PG in them, but for anyone who can vape a blend, they've got some intriguing samplers.

Oh double yay! They're about the cheapest plated/punched cartos out there, so those were good ones to fall in love with. lol Do you always use a tank? I do sometimes, but majority of my flavors are in a carto by themselves. As much as I love the 1.7s in tanks, love em even more in the junior or mini size (mini is at smoktek, madvapes, or they're coming to surevapes in the 25 carto deals, soon, but they're not at ccv. CCV has regular xl dual coil carto size, and the junior, which is size of a boge or a standard 510. Don't know if you do much 'flavor tasting' but that's why I use a lot of cartos by themselves. Only my very faves get a tank. lol
