Yeah, it's a V1 no draw issues at all. I'd say buy several of the different type adapters, you'll find a use for them eventually.

I totally agree. They are cheap and it is better to have them and not need them, than need them and not have them. I even have doubles of most, just in case.

I just got the L-Rider Lambo 4.0. For some reason, my v2.5 vivid nova 3.5ml tank when screwed on, has absolutely no draw. Basically a complete seal is created at the threads. No air or vapour can be pulled. It will only allow a draw when nearly fully unscrewed from the LT. The centre pin still springs up and down solidly. Electrically it makes a connection and powers the coil, though. Any thoughts? IMG_20120915_201421.jpg

Yes. Check back one page to post #836. That should explain it all, but let us know if you still need help.

Thanks. I interpreted that post as a weak draw. So I assumed it was an individual preference on a workaround. On mine, it is a complete vacuum created. Absolutely no draw allowed. Is this the same solution for me or is mine a manufacturer defect which would be better dealt with by an exchange of the entire unit?

Well the vivi works fantastically with the lambo 4.0 on a 510-510 adaptor. Just looks .... fugly and not as physically stable at that point. I guess I will look around for one of those 3.5ml tank cones. I just wished to have a unit that works properly, bone stock. I will see what my retailer responds with to my email. He is a stand up guy from what I have seen and from my previous correspondence with his company.

The two devices just don't work well together without the use of the adapter or cone. The draw can be weak or just a total vacuum like you are experiencing. I too get the vacuum more times than not, which makes drawing not difficult, but impossible. I also agree that the 510-510 is, as you put it, "fugly", the cone looks much nicer, it is almost invisible, but like I said in that post if you use it with the Nova, only the last few threads of the Nova are attaching so they will strip if you continue to bump it, drop it, or jiggle it around in your pocket. Once those couple of threads go, then you have to go with a 510-510 (or 510-eGo) because it just won't stay on (and be usable) without it.

You may of course contact the manufacturer, but there is no defect, everybody I know that uses the Lambo (or LT v1.5, V-tube, etc.) and the Vivi Nova together have the exact same issue. Maybe somewhere on the forum someone has found a solution that doesn't require the adapter or cone, but I haven't looked. If you figure anything out please post back here so the rest of us can ditch the fuglys. :)

If you want to see some of the adapters including the 3.5 cone, then check out Orachel's Lavatube adapter blog:

Yes, I did look at that blog earlier. I like the 3.5ml best, even with the shortfalls you mentioned, apuck. The vendor is replacing the LT regardless as the screen is crooked inside. I had purchased a few hundred dollars of stuff from him for other friends as well. He would step up regardless. Great vendor all round.

That is one of my favorite things about vaping. So many great vendors out there, with outstanding customer service. The rest of the business world should take note.

The vendor replaced the LT without question. This one actually works without the adaptor. But I did find if I screw the vivi on at times, it will lock the airflow again. If I unscrew it and rescrew it back in, suddenly it works well.....I may just go to a smoketech dual coil or something like that. I just really like the simplicity of the vivi nova to clean and maintain the coils, though. I really don't want to do adaptors if at all possible.

Some people had the same draw issue with the Smoktek tank on the Lavatube V1, I don't know if this applies to the Lambo, a simple solution is to pull the Smoktek tank up from the cartomizer base just enough to let the air flow well, or as always use a 510 / 510 or 510 / Ego. I don't have the draw problem with my V1 but I still usually leave my 510 / Ego adapter on most of the time, I switch back and forth from Stardusts to Carto's to T2's, dripping atty's, etc. so it's just easier for me to leave it on.

Hi Cola,
You have me completely baffled! What is an L-Rider Lambo 4.0? I did not know L-Rider made a new mod. I have what is called an L-Rider 1.5 which is the same innards as the first Lava Tube but in chrome with an Ego threading (or 510). That is the latest mod from them that I know about. Please let me know what yours is all about and where you purchased it. Your retailer sounds like someone I would like to buy from also. Thanks for any info.

The Lambo is just another name for the 1.5, BUT the Lambo 4.0 is an upgraded version of that. The upcoming Lavatube 2.0 is an entirely different beast, so maybe the Lambo 4.0 could be called an LT v1.75??? Anyway the 4.0 has the same features as the 1.5 plus a built in resistance checker (press "fire" button 5 times) and upgraded switch capable of handling 1.0 LR attys, and 1.5 DCs.

I know My Vapor Store, and Sweet-vapes carry them, I've seen them several other places too.

Oh no! Were you able to fix it?
To tell you the truth, it was the one I purchased for a friend ( paid me back of course), that this happened to. He got the pin stuck in the bottom hole of the vivid when unscrewing it....Our vendor is a class 1 level 10 customer oriented dealer. I don't think there is a vendor who cares about his customers more, than this one. I will leave it at that. I will just say that our treatment has been a dominant factor in our repeat business. I couldn't care less about $$ now. Loyalty has now been pledged. I won't even waste my time looking for prices elsewhere.

Again I have to comment on great customer service. Who is this vendor? Spread the word! On this topic I have to recognize Apollo ecig's customer service. Their product line is a little limited, and some of it a little pricey, BUT they have some of the best service I have ever dealt with, and whenever possible I try to buy from them, even if it means spending a little more.

Of the few vendors I have used, I have settled in on Canvape. These are the guys that are taking care of us so well. I have been screaming acalades on their threads.

I noticed none of them are advertising an amp rating on them except for CanVape who advertises 4amp. I wrote them to see if they had tested it and found it to be a true 4amp unit but they chose not to reply.

According to this post from the iVapeguy (iVape.net) the Lambo 4.0 is a 2.5amp unit, same as all the previous LTs. Apparently the only difference is the ability to read resistance. http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comm...
