Learn something about E-Cig to help my father out from smoking.

Hello everyone. I just registered in this forum.
I am a girl, and I don't smoke(well, have smoked sometime but jst for fun)
I am here because I want to learn something about e-cig, and try to help my father quit smoking.

A intorduction about my father.
He is addicated to smoking and there was a time he needed to smoke two packs a day.
For the mement he is smoking with pipe tobacco which has done a lot of harm to his health.
I was wondering how does his lung look like after all these years smoking. By the way, he is 55 years old and have been smoking since 16.

Everybody, Just tell me, is there still chance for my father to quit smoking with the help of E-cig? What should I choose to buy for a smoker like my father?
I am really concerned of his health and worried a lot now.

Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Has he shown interest in vaping? It's great that you want to help your dad! Do you have any vape shops near you? Or will you have to purchase vape supplies online?

You may want to start with a iStick 30W with a nautilus mini tank, both are inexpensive.

I can't help much in the pipe tobacco taste e-juice, but someone will come along to help you.

Definitely a good chance from him to quit tobacco (if he wants to quit) with the use of an E-cig. If you have a local vape shop and he is agreeable take him there and let him try some of the equipment / flavors.

Chance?....I have to say yes.

Possibly a real good chance, most people like myself did not realize there is a VERY good option available to stop smoking (Vaping).

I quit after 40 years. It was much easier than I ever imagined.

I smoked 2 packs a day for 30 years i love vaping way better not only is it better for your health it is a really fun hobby. Different E liquids, tanks, batteries.
If your dad likes to woodwork he could build display racks for all his vaping stuff, I like the hobby part as much as the vaping part.

I didn't want to quit but my sister gave me a starter set up with a liquid that was sooooo good that I couldn't help but replace smoking with vaping. It's totally possible that he can quit. It might be hard to get him to try it for the first time but that first try is sometimes all it takes.

Ditto, Joe....now I can't stand the smell of a cigarette or any form of combustible tobacco. In only a couple weeks I hated the smell.

Guess "want to quit" wasn't the best choice of words... I guess open to try vaping would have been a better choice. Lesson Learned

I'm 55 and once I found my nicotine level I put my cigarettes down. It was shocking how easy it was. Most pipe tobaccos have some sort of flavor to them. I'd look for a flavor of e juice which could somewhat resemble his tobacco. Personally I went away from all tobacco flavors, because the sweet and fruits appealed to me much more. Going to a local vape shop to try the samples is a good start. You'll also need 2 batteries of some type, because when the one you use needs recharged you don't want to reach for tobacco. I would also purchase some extra cartomizers or tanks, it's easier to switch flavors that way, and coils do need to be replaced occasionally. Do you have a budget in mind for your father? Knowing the budget can help the forum users give more specific advice. In the long run it can be way cheaper, but in starting you do have some output for proper start up. Good luck!

I hope your dad can quit Mangguo!
I'd say his chances of kicking the ciggs increase tremendously if he took to vaping.
Perhaps you can persuade him to visit the site to read for himself just how well it has worked for many others that got hooked on tobacco like himself.
At his age he may not even realize vaping is an option or effective alternative. Good luck getting him to make the change!

I'm not super up to date on the latest liquids with a tobacco background but Nicoticket has three that I know of. Radioactive, which has a sassafrass flavor. Wakonda, which has a coffee flavor and The Virus, which has a nutty coco flavor. I know there have got to be many more out there.

He asked about vaping once but we never took that seriously. We don't have vape shop in China. Will have to buy from online. I don't know what kind of mod should I choose.
