I have a ProVari (Christmas present!) and I love it. Cant say much about the lavatube, I do not (yet) have one. So its only been a few weeks, but so far its been rock solid. Iv dropped it only once, but not from very far. Yes, it is a bit pricey. But if you consider the cost of a few cartons of smokes, its not really all that much. Assuming of course it lasts. Time will tell. And if it does break, I will post a thread here!

One thing I like about the notcigs PVs, sounds like the Provaris are the same, very rugged. Back when I was using 808 and Riva gear, a drop of a couple feet on a hard surface was always a "Did it break?" With the Infinity and Buzz Pro it's just not a concern, which is good since I'm a klutz :)

I've never seen a provari owner on this forum speak disparagingly about a Lavatube. Most Provari users either also own a LT or plan to. I plan to get one myself at some point because there are some places I don't want to carry my Provari around in my shirt pocket.
On the same note, I've seen very few LT owners put down the Provari.
It's also rare to see a Provari owner diss a Darwin, but more common to see Darwin owners diss a Provari.
To me, they are all good in their own right and in their price range, its just that different users have different needs or likes.

I never thought something that was made to help us get off cigarettes could be such a big point of discussion.

This is the same as having a discussion about why is a Mercedes SLK more expensive than a Chrysler Crossfire when a lot of the parts are the same ( since Mercedes Owned Chrysler around the time the Crossfire was Made). The answer is simple , for the guy that can afford both , He will get the Mercedes because he can and because he belives it is a superior product .

But has anybody ever wonder why there are 1000's of car models and makers , because not only price or make is a factor, everbody likes different things !!!

Now on this forum if a guy were to say he likes a Lavatube over a Provari , he would be called names , because it is impossible. If he chooses a Provari over the Lavatube , he is a sucker for spending double the amount. Why can't we ALL JUST GET ALONG !!!

I do not own a provari, YET !! I have a really hard time spending $200 and up on it, Now I'm not saying it is not worth it , Just seems like a lot TO ME , not the world or anybody else. I have spent well over $1000 on vaping since I started on thanksgiving ,between different batteries and trying almost every juice out there. I just bought the Lavatube and yes the price difference helps a lot of people make the decision on which to buy and it is getting people into VV as well.

Now can we get over the comparing and MOVE ALONG ??? All the different batteries and Mods are great in one way or another , The guy that Loves Provari can say it is the best in the world , TO HIM !!! The guy that says the Lavatube is the best MOD money can Buy, really, checkout the CYLON, same one and that company sells the Kit for $20 less than VOlcano.

Really , WHO CARES !!!!!

I've refrained from commenting because I never had a Lavatube.
Now that I got one, I'll toss in my :2c:
There is no comparison.
The LT feels, well, all of the $70 bucks I paid for it.
It works fine and does the job (except checking ohms).
If you are a budget vaper and want a VV mod, this is it.
If you want the feel and look of a truly well built VV mod and are willing to pay, go Provari.

I like to think of ecigs like home/mobile audio equipment. It's all in the parts, capacitors, resistors...materials....etc. It would be like like comparing Sony passive x-overs to Focal x-overs....they both (in essence) accomplish the same things...but do they sound the same? Different materials...different components. Yes, they both work...but efficiency is the key!

I'm not sure why you would want to see the innards of the provari and the lava tube? we all ready know they're not using the same parts, the provari holds it voltage and the lava tube doesn't under load with battery drain I posted my metered results in you first thread were you stated the lava tube was superior to the provari. that's not me trashing the lava tube that's metered facts I own both PV's

It's also rare to see a Provari owner diss a Darwin, but more common to see Darwin owners diss a Provari.

I guess I must read different threads than you. Those 2 mods have been both loved and bashed and compared endlessly. One video reviewer even compared Provari to Darwin in the review and didn't even pay attention to its features as he was apparently offended by it's looks.

Tis a shame -- they are both great mods, warrantied & with excellent customer service and large fan bases.

I think it's great that there are some more versitile and cost friendlier devices showing up --- even if they become "training wheels" for the higher end devices or, as you suggested, an inexpensive carry around device with similar features to one's favorite mod.

Now you can all go back to looking at katy....
