You brought back a 4 month old argument that was pretty much resolved, where the OP admitted to being intoxicated and agitated.

You brought back a 5+ page thread where you only replied to the FIRST post in the thread. Everything you said had already been said. Many times.

I understand that yes, you're free to post wherever you want, but maybe you should use a little restraint when you feel like replying to such an old thread. If you're having problems deciphering the opinions on items promoted and the way others are not recommended around here my advice to you is that you should remember that this is a forum of unique individuals. What works for party A may not work for party B. Party A might think Boge 2.0 cartos are crap while party B, C, and D will live and swear by them.

I see that you're sort of new to this, so my final piece of advice is that nothing is going to work for everyone. There is no "THIS IS THE BEST" in this industry and that all you can really do is try what tickles your fancy.

Not sure if I should be posting...since I'm not a full "vaper" so to speak...have cut down to half of what I used to smoke though so in my eyes this is a good start. I just wanted to correct Bluesmaster on the cost of a carton of cigarettes...the cheapest and what I pay for a carton of cigarettes is 32.50. This is not a major brand like Players or Export, but very comparable. I did purchase my first e-cig kit about a year ago and just sort of played around with it, not being really serious (maybe it was not having the right flavour e-juice, just not sure). The kit I had gotten was a 510 kit (cigarette style) with atomizer and the regular fiber filled tips that you drip juice into. (sorry for the non vaper lingo, again still new to all this). Maybe because of the lack of education on how things worked and what a person was to watch out for (like not letting it dry out, burnt taste) etc.....led me to not go at it full force. At this point I still continued to smoke like I regularly did (pack to one and a half per day). I was never steered in the direction that this would make me quit smoking but could be an alternative to smoking. The cost ( I wish I found the 29.99 starter kit) of my first kit was 59.99 plus the cost I believe it was 19.99 for 30ml liquid. So to start it was just under 100.00 with shipping and all. In the last few months I have been looking at this more serious...not so to save me money (remember 32.50 a carton) but to save on my health. I know with saying that, why am I still smoking.....finding it very difficult to totally quit, but working on that. I have since purchased a e-Go VV battery thinking ( from what I have been reading on this forum) that maybe the 510 battery was too weak/small. I do find myself going back to the smaller battery as the VV battery even on the lowest setting kills my throat, have to take really small pulls on it. Hopefully after I find a juice that I really really like the transition may be a lot easier. For all the newer people out there that are just starting out like myself.....it is costly to get into vaping....with all the different hardware to buy before you find something that will work for you and the e-liquid....thats the biggest one.....finding the right flavour, vapor production, mixture, sample choices, shipping costs etc. ....sorry for the rambling.....just my 2 cents

I really don't want to give this thread any more life, but $32.50 for a carton of cigarettes? The average cost of a carton of cigarettes in Ontario(which is, one of the cheapeast provinces) is at least twice that price. Taxes alone are $29.80 per carton. Link The average Canadian is paying closer to $80/carton.

There is no doubt that startup costs will tip the scale. It may take several attemps at different delivery systems (carto's clearo's attys) & e-juice selection. A harsh hit can be the cause of many things. Nic strength, carto not absorbing, PG ratio too high, incorrectly mixed e-juice but I believe your issues has to do with high voltages & low resistance carto/cartridge.

The more you research & read the better informed a vaper gets & will save $$$ along the way by avoiding those products that don't deliver consistency.

The VV Ego has great flexability but you need to be careful with what your using it with. Ask your vendor what he/she would suggest for a carto or clearo. VV or variable voltages are 3 fixed voltages(Not variable in my book) and will work great with certain resistance atty's. For example, the Stardust(which we all suggest you try) is actually available in 3 different resistances. Since no one really stocks the 3rd, we'll just concentrate on the better known 2. LR(low resistance & SR (standard resistance). For 3.2v/3.7v/4.2v the SR is a safe choice at approx 3ohmn. Try different cartos etc but make sure they are standard resistance when using with your VV Ego. Low resistance attys/cartos will not work well with high voltages. A lot of newbies are having the opposite problem when using SR at lower voltages - they get little vapour and little taste.

Lastly, harsh throat hit can be caused by the single inhale method. This is drawing in the vapour directly into your lungs. For a better vape, draw a mouthful of vapour & then inhale(2 steps).

Yep, agreed. Except last time I bought them was 2 years ago. One smoke had what appeared to be 1/2 a cockroach that didn't burn quite right and several others were contaminated with pieces of wood. Really not my idea of smoking roaches. I mean, smoking is supposed to be bad enough for ya, right?

Most of my smoking friends also pay around $80/carton with a few buying the budget branda from Costco at $58. These represent more realistic comparisons I think, at least for most smokers.

Reserve smokes, man they are nasty! I used to smoke them a lot. Had a friend tell me that he was on a reserve and was watching the guys using a pitchfork to load the tobacco into a truck. One of the native guys gets off, opens his pack of DuMurier and lights up. My friend says to him "hey dont you smoke the smokes you make here?". The native guy says "no, those are the kill the whiteman smokes". LMFAO!!!

Hrmm, Since February 27th 2012 (this was my first supplier purchase date) to current date i have spent in vaping equipment $490.88 (includes delivery) and another $197.61 (includes delivery) in e-juice so $688.49.

break this down further from April 10th to current date (as i finally said at long last good by to the cigg's): there is: 73.87 in equipment (with deliver)and $115.98 in juice (with delivery) totaling $189.85
If i was still smoking i would have spent in 16 days: $142.24 meaning i would be in the "hole" right now by $47.61

it would seem i am in negative here, but in just under 5 days i would break even and the juices i paid for will last me longer then that, seems like a fair trade me

Geez I smoked Native Lights for something like 7 years. Tasty kinda nasty at first but the price was right...heh. I used those clear plastic Nic-not filters to block some of the tar and nicotine.

I think the Lung Busters were or are popular in Ontario......My Time spent in Calgary, one out of 200 people knew about it, and East Kootney area of BC up to Yukon everyone thought i was a little green man straight from the Amazon when i talked about them

Wow....I didn't mean to stir up so much when I corrected Blue on the price. Just my 2 cents once again....yes there are many brands of native cigarettes out there both legal and illegal ones (bagged cigarettes) But when the cartons are sealed and wrapped with the governments stamp of approval...there are standards that have to be followed. Yes I have had some native brands that would kill you on one drag. I wasn't trying to get on the whole its cheaper to smoke than vape here I was just posting a correction was all. I do want to get off the cigarettes totally and vape for my health not the cost. Its neither here nor there if its cheaper or more expensive....its a choice.

Yeah, I smoked those lung busters for a couple of years before switching to vaping. ....... they were harsh, nasty, the tobacco wasn't packed well (kept falling out the end) and they were ridiculously inconsistent, but they were cheap (especially if you bought them in the bags) so I smoked 'em. It was just one extra thing to be thankful for when I switched to vaping -- no more horrible res smokes.
