We are adding a forum rule indicating that supporting the Packers in too enthusiastic a manner is grounds for losing your ECF privileges.

No go put on your orange hunting suit and get back in your tree stand.................

Now Now Elendil, don't get too excited yet - you have to beat the sorry seaslugs before we come to town!

That is true... Though why would you do that when there's only one that still truly works?

Can I at least go against a single player on the bears? As a panthers fan I contractually can't root for Peppers. I was glad to see him go. Most talented de in history, with no heart. I was glad to see him go.

Not to digress (you've opened a can of worms here), but there are actually 3 palantirs at the end of the Trilogy.
1. The one from Orthanc that Elessar kept.
2. The one Denethor burned with(It could be used by one with a strong enough will)
3. There was one that was in the Elven towers west of the Shire that was placed on the ship that Frodo/Gandalf/etal sailed to Elvenhome on.

People in Chicago have been very please with the level of effort and heart that Peppers has shown this season. I too was concerned as I heard many of the same things about Pepper in Carolina. Either he has turned 180 degrees or the problems were a bit overblown. Time will tell, I guess.........

Arise ye mighty Cheeseheads for the moment of victory is close at hand. First and foremost I am a die hard Niners fan, cut me and I bleed red and gold. Historically the rivalry between the Niners and the Packers is legendary. My team failed to show up and play ball this season, that being said I am all about Packers.

I spent years attending Cal games and watching Rodgers mature into the QB he is today. I always hoped that one day he would wear the Red and Gold, but instead he went to the other side of the battlefield.

A few notes on yesterday's game: Congratulations to the 12th Man....5cardstud! That was a crazy game and that 67 yard run will stick in my memory for a lifetime. I love ya Peyton, you could walk off the field today and be assured of your place in the Hall of Fame. However, the Jets have been blessed by the fairy dust that seems to follow the HBO coverage. I'm not a big Jets Fan, but for those who are congrats on your win.

LETS GO PACKERS....I dink a win today would be great dontcha ya know!

That's funny because I just read your post 2 day's later and turned on the NFL channel and it was a replay of the 67 yrd. run by Lynch. Now that is telepathy or something.

That's why I said truly works. The one at denethor's grave was unusable except by those of the strongest will, and elrond took the last stone with him to the immortal lands. The heirs of Elessar Telcontar Thorongil Estel only had the one palantir and anduril to show their lineage (arwen took the ring of barahir to the remnants of lorien where she died).

I can only tell you in every game I watched he still took plays off there in chi-town. Only 30-40% compared to the 60 in carolina. Peppers would get 20 sacks or more a year if he actually cared. Allen has half his talent, yet is far superior.

Born and raised in Wisconsin all of my life and I've never been aware of a Packers/49er rivalry? When did that start? That's news to me! (Unless you mean the playoff battles back in the 90's - but most Wisconsinites would barely register that compared to the years of rivalry with the Bears & Vickings!)

I'm on pins and needles for Saturday's game!!! (Not holding my breath for a win, though.)

Although we are division rivals, as one fan to another I had to give you some props 5cardstud. Outside of that I have nothing else nice to say about the Seachickens! Oh yeah, you guys have a killer stadium...but that's it...nothing else.

Well I call them the sea%$#* and Matt Hasselbecck, I wrote them an email and told them they need to change his name to Matt Givemback.

Don't know that I'd call it a full fledged rivalry, but the teams are very familiar with each other. Holmgren and even McCarthy coached in San Fran, and brought the west coast offense to GB. And that TO catch in the playoffs still kills me.

From a Cheesehead perspective I can understand how the longtime rivalry between Chicago and Green Bay pales to that with 49ers after all you won in 95, 96, & 97 keeping us from bowl contention. However, as a life long 49ers fan dreaming to recapture our prior glory days and bowl status the wounds have only begun to heal.

In the meantime Sunday can't get here quick enough.

Steelers
New England
Green Bay
Seattle (gotta do it, west coast pride)

Here we have this nice post and somebody has to go and mention Dallas.
