I bought them from AZ Smoke Free. They're the cartomizers for the 510, that I'm using with my njoy.
look like just some generic cartos givin how cheap they areI bought them from AZ Smoke Free. They're the cartomizers for the 510, that I'm using with my njoy.
Are you asking for price, or how cheap do they look? They're 5.95 for 5, or something like that. They are one piece alluminum, as opposed to the Njoy cartos that the plastic cap can be wiggled off. I ruined..er..dissected one of them. It's got a plastic tube in the center, wrapped by a thin piece of material, then wrapped by wadding.
No, you can't take the mouthpiece off. That kind of sucks, or I'd be able to put the one back together easily. It's just one whole piece.
um... where did you buy em from? if they were dual coils you would know.. only 2 companies make them and they don't come with any kits or anything
Thanks for the answer for the filter material above.
I wanted to mention I contacted GotVapes and yep.. Confirmed, The Diamond duel cartos they sell are made by smoketech.. just ta let ya know.
So, there is smoketech and what other company making them?
will the dual coil ruin the battery?
Dual coils are essentially like running two 3.2 ohm cartos at the same time. Ego's have mosfet regulators in them and the regulators are not rated to handle the amperage. You will be putting a good deal of current through the mosfet which could burn it out. Also the battery in an ego is not rated to handle the current draw of the dual coil. It will work but you will most likely cause premature wear and/or failure of the cell. I tried a dual on an epower which is very similar and it did work. I won't risk toasting it though. Really you should use something with a high drain battery which can put out the current you need without damaging the battery.
it is slightly different then just running two at the same time, that would make for 3.2 ohms still. these are run in parallel which splits the ohm rating of each in half in easy to understand terms. turning the 3.2's into 1.6's that they call 1.5's... due to the really low resistance it can damage your battery because it's not reccomended to run under 2.0 ohms, but really there's allot of people that use them on ego batteries without any problems. the first part of that was kinda pointless but if you ever get into car audio or any electricians work youll understand it betterparallel devides the ohms series adds the ohms. so really they could use two 1.5 and get 3.0 volts and have a dual coil safe to use on a mini battery that still performed better then a standard carto. just something that would be awesome to see.
OK, I have a question for this discussion. Do brand new blank cartomizers need time to break in? The one I'm using now, is vaping a whole lot better after all day using it. Also, the liquid taste f'ing fantastic for the first time.
I'm no electrician (I don't even play one on TV), but was amused by the similarities between car audio (wiring anyway) and vaping.
Is there a way to get a tighter "smoke" out of your cartomizer? Last night was the best with the one I'm using now. It started out loose, or with a very airy feeling. Last night I had a decent tight pull on it. Not too tight, but just right to feel like I was pulling in as much as I could without struggle. Today, it's got a big airy feeling again. Same carto, same juice. I didn't fill anymore last night.
When you prefill some cartos for the next day or whatever, what's the best way to store them? on their battery end or flat? Thanks.
