Im getting a custom box done with SS Button and Drip cup. I love the way these looks, and have always wanted a nice wood box mod. With the 8ml bottle and 18650 battery and the relatively small size, I think I'm going to be very happy with this guy. I got Curly Tiger Maple for the body, and Cocobolo for the caps and inlay. Im really excited for it to be done.

great, with the possibilities right now, I would get it VV with the possibility to get a kick in there, preferably with the 18650!

I just had to show you guys this video a vaping buddy of mine made... up to 5:25 its a resurrector review, but from 5:25 he's talking about the custom wood mod he made, and is thinking about making more. You might have seen him around ecf in the last few mos, but I know how you guys appreciate hand carved wood mods, and his looks gorgeous. He's also looking for names for his, if anyone has any ideas. Plus he's in Hawaii, so wonder what wood he's using? Anyway thought you guys might like to see it.

Here's ha-y-n (that's hawaiian, but I never made that connection.. I was a lil slow on the uptake. lol) and his new wood mods.

It really does look like a marble inlay on the box porn. lol Gorgeous! And ha-y-n... an 18560 wood mod that would fit a kick device would be a very very cool thing. I'd love to see it if you manage to get one in there! Maybe these guys can tell us why the other 18650 woodies aren't seeming to fit the kick. Just not big enough, or what?

Emonty, that tip is killer! Looks great on your new pv. The button style on that is just a work of art. Really amazing. Never seen a button that pretty! lol

I found this tip the other day. Decided if I'm ever lucky enough to get my paws on a wood mod, this might look great on it. I love that its sorta got a leopard type thing going with the blown glass... the number 24 one is the one I love. The trippy tips are way out of my price range, but i'd spend $15 to put a gorgeous tip on my first wood mod, fo sho. ;)

I'm sure there's loads of reviews out on the device by now. Its relatively new, but been out a little while. But it is a cool thing, to have that as an option in your mod if you ever decide you need vv in that gorgeous wood 18650 you built. BTW, did you see tx posted the link to how that super shiny wood mod was made? Really cool, photos of every step. There's like up to 15 coats of clear on there. CA is pretty much super glue, right? I'm not sure, but I think its similar. I still can't believe that only took the guy 3.5 hours. He's got some high end tools there, so guessing that makes all the difference. I'd have guessed in the 10's of hours.

Tex, now you got me wanting one of those Burls - they sure are nice looking and getting to see how they are made sure made the itch stronger. But I do know that the finish would be hard to keep sharp...

My first one is holding up real well and Lewis will refinish them if they get chipped or damaged in anyway. He is a great guy and loves his craft. You can't go wrong with getting one made by him. He is also going to do a tank soon.

Oh how funny. People were just asking for wood tanks in the Phiniac thread. They're doing these wild wood inlay tanks now, with a design in a more blond wood set into a darker wood wrap. Moreaa was showing off a few she'd done with a gekko design. Very cool. Those will work a little different, though. They'll be a 'wrap' you can slip over an existing dc tank. But I have to say, I love the idea of one of those blocks of wood being curved around a tank, though, with the same method that your mod was made. Esp if he stuck some kind of a window into it, for viewing. And I love that he'll refinish em if they get a little bashed and cloudy. Txtumbleweed... you do realize you've totally spawned an obsession for me and a buddy of mine with that mod, right? lol That is, without a doubt, the next mod I'll buy.

He will have two windows in them.

My first wood mod to the far left.

The next one is made from a pine tree that I had cut down.and the center strip in that mod is a local tree also, called koa. Koa is very expensive , like 23 bucks a board foot.

The next 2 are made of the same wood. The little one will use a 14500 and the other one 18650 kicked!? I have the layout but I need the exact measurement from the contact to the post. In inches please..

I would just buy one but all oos! And as soon as the classys have one someone beats me to the the pm...

Could someone please tell me that measurement?
