I am so subscribing to this thread - all of these wood mods are absolutely beautiful and I want at least one of each. I only have one right now, its a mosaic stick from ecigworkshop (Paul and Patty do FANTASTIC work!). I don't have a picture of it yet, but I will try to get one and post it soon. I also love the idea of a wood 'wrap' for a tank - I was thinking about asking if anyone could make a wood drip shield. I haven't been to Moreaa's website for a while - I will have to check it out.

Also, you guys should check this out - a new maker of wood mods - alekos557 makes custom wood kits and mods...

Keep on posting, we need more wood in the hood!!! :)

Im getting a custom box done with SS Button and Drip cup. I love the way these looks, and have always wanted a nice wood box mod. With the 8ml bottle and 18650 battery and the relatively small size, I think I'm going to be very happy with this guy. I got Curly Tiger Maple for the body, and Cocobolo for the caps and inlay. Im really excited for it to be done.

Who makes this kind of bottom feeder? I'm looking for a small BF that takes a 18650 and a 510 connection to use as my back-up and for traveling.

It's boggers box mods. It really is small considering the battery size and juice capacity. And the quality is fantastic. This is the first time I wanted to grab a second of the exact same mod right away. I wold go on but this would turn into a essay. Just google boggers box mods and choose standard bottom feeders. I'd recommend the custom ones if you have the time to wait for it. And splurge for the SS drip cup and button. It really makes it all come together.

My first wood mod to the far left.

The next one is made from a pine tree that I had cut down.and the center strip in that mod is a local tree also, called koa. Koa is very expensive , like 23 bucks a board foot.

The next 2 are made of the same wood. The little one will use a 14500 and the other one 18650 kicked!? I have the layout but I need the exact measurement from the contact to the post. In inches please..

I would just buy one but all oos! And as soon as the classys have one someone beats me to the the pm...

Could someone please tell me that measurement?

Oh wow... those are ALL gorgeous, each and every one. I so envy you guys this skill! I can't imagine starting with a hunk of wood and ending up with something this lovely. I think my personal fave is the first one. Something about the color of the wood just looks like it would age beautifully with the natural oils from handling it, and the shape of it with the rounded edges is just flat out sexy. I really like that its rectangular, as opposed to square box. I know a lot of you guys love your boxes, but I've got tiny little 10 year old kid sized hands, and 'boxes' are just a little too wide for me to handle comfortably. But that shape looks perfect. The Koa is amazing, too! I can see why its so pricey, since its obviously unique and rather rare. Something about it reminds me of art carvings I've seen done with natural driftwood, just in its natural swirls. Seriously, ha-y-n... they're all incredible.

As for the Kick measurements, I don't have one, sorry! Maybe you'll get lucky and someone in this thread has both a kick and calipers for an accurate measure. If not, I'd ask that in the Variable Voltage or Mod forums... Surely one of those guys has one, and the ability to measure correctly. From what i've heard and read, however, they typically fit on the end of an 18500 and are supposed to be about the size of an 18650 once the kick is combined with the 18500. I'm not sure why some wood mods designed for 18650 aren't fitting the 18500+kick device, though. Personally, I've seen a huge variance in size just between battery manufacturers, so guessing something like that is the culprit. Crossing fingers you get the answer you need, though! Gorgeous gorgeous work! Every time you guys show off these amazing wood mods, it just feeds my new obsession! lol

So, any of you guys wanting to use the kick in a wood mod have any idea of kick + standard 18500 size?

And tybin.... Omgosh! My eyes are about to boggle out of my head! What a gorgeous outstanding collection you have there! Holy moly.

Hey tybin

Its there a thread on how to make those drip cups? And how to make the bottom feeder?

I'm drooling on your mods so you might wanna clean them again! Lol

Head over the the modders forum. They have a great tutorial on how to make a bottom feeder. Just ask one of the regulars for the link. Not sure about the drip cups, but I have seen some examples of people making them over there. Just not sure if there tutorials.
