Solid recommendation but, the one I linked a few pages back from fast tech is a little better and the same price. Take a look machine..I have the xtar and just ordered the 4 bay nite core. No extenders needed for 18350.

Oh wow, it can simultaneously charge 4 batteries. That's cool.

Kyi, definitely consider that fasttech charger. Very reliable and fast for a company in China. But of course, it's not like the stuff in the Vapage kit won't work... they would be just fine. This stuff is just an optional upgrade you could consider after you're up and running.

I'm not real keen on those one bay chargers, if that's what you have. I like to shop for Batteries and Chargers at RTD Vapor.

And, I like to recommend AW batteries. The black protected 14500 ones are the ones I usually use in the Vmod2. They cost a bit more than some other brands, but do seem to last longer and perform better than others. I've had the Vapage batteries and have no complaint about them.

There is a "Battery 101" sticky thread here somewhere (it's location escapes me right now) that is worth taking the time to read. There are so many opinions, it's nice to read what ECF has to say.

I'm prob going to place my order when they have more Vmod 2.0 bottles in stock. Or have they been out of stock for a while now?? I guess as long as I order before the sale ends... got a week though. The 2.0 ohm attys should be fine right? I usually prefer a cooler vape.

If you like a cooler vape, you'lll love the 2ohm cartos and atties. They are the only ohm I use. No telling when the bottles will be in stock, but 2 that come with the kit will last months. No worries. Just go for it now while the sale is on! The charger and batteries that come with the Vmod kits are FINE and will do right by you for however long until you want to "upgrade". Remember...they will be under warranty 6 months.

As far as the charger is concerned, I have a dual bay charger I got from SmokTek almost 2 years ago, (think it is an AD126), and it charges everything I have thrown at it without failure... I charge 14500, 18350, 500, & 650's. It has a auto shut-off when the batteries are fully charged. I think there is just too much hype out there when it comes to chargers! From what I remember it only cost me like $12 when I bought my first AA box mod. I don't think they still sell the one I have, but they have another dual bay that has a car adaptor included for just under $12... You can also charge 1.2v batteries with it... I might have to get me one as my 1.2v charger has seen its better days now after almost 12-15yrs of use!!!

As tearose already mentioned, you might want to go to RTD Vapor for all your battery needs. They sell all authentic batteries and are highly respected in the vaping industry... Very competitive pricing and the service is second to none...

Cheapest I've seen with cut off is$18, with shipping puts you over$20. The hype is the cut off feature not the price. There are far more expensive chargers than$20. Your$12 charger has cut off. If you can get one at that price with that feature then great. I haven't seen it recently though. I like the ability to leave my batteries overnight.

The Vapage charger that came with the XL kit does have a "cut off". It does a little metering thing to prevent the battery from discharging back out...so the light will blink after it's charged once in awhile...but it's cut off. I've left mine overnight on several occasions. Not saying it's the "best" charger in the world, but am saying that it's safe enough!

You've done this with unprotected batteries that don't have a built in" cut-off"?

I have -- I've used the included Vapage charger for two months rotating one protected batt and two unprotected imr batts and they always come off the charger at 4.18v or 4.19v (even when I've forgotten and left them on the charger for a few additional hours).

Got my VMod XL today, and just threw on a Boge carto I've used for a couple days, and it works great. Quick question: it is vaping like it's feeding okay, but I notice the filler at the top of the carto always looks bone dry. I'm guessing that's normal, because it's obviously just feeding from the bottom... is that right? Or do I need a couple more squonks?

That's normal. Even a completely filled cartomizer will look dry at the top of the filler after a few vapes. The act of vaping pulls juice down to the area of the heating coil, which is near the carto's connector.

I've only been using the stock atomizer that came with my VMod. I'm not sure if the vets here have been adding juice to their carto in addition to squonking.

I just swapped out my hybrid (not sure if its older or newer style) put a 1.7 silo on it that I filled via the condom method. Whats's the best way to clean the hybrid? Draw is getting kinda tight on it.

Been vaping BB thru it for 3 days now.

i still don't feel the flavor is right for BB. Maybe It's because I can't get enough power without vv/vw, I generally vape BB 10-11 watts.

Ok I have my cart ready... almost ready to make the purchase. I have the Vmod 2.0 kit, a set of bottom feeder attys in 2.0ohm, and an extra shell and O rings. I need one last push to commit to the purchase...

How does this compare to dripping? Does it taste/feel different? And can I drip liquid through the top like normal dripping if I wanted to?

Hey, I just got my VMod today and I've been trying not to gush in this forum... but since you're undecided, I'm going to go for it. This thing is already my favorite device I've ever bought. I would actually not be surprised if my Lavatube V2 and Vamo ended up on the Classifieds next week... I'm not kidding. I'm mainly a cartomizer user so I can only discuss those so far, but for the last few hours I've been vaping as if I'm using a carto tank, but all while not having to punch holes, fill a tank, monitor an air vacuum, have juice leak anywhere... it's so mindless and convenient.

Regarding atomizers, I haven't used the VMod with one yet, but logically it's got to taste just like dripping. You're still just vaping juice that's directly on the coil, with no filler or anything else in the way. I'm going to give it a shot later tonight. And YES, I have seen in videos that you can also drip onto the atty while it's in the VMod. Buy it!

Well if it works then it works. I prefer the piece of mind I get with my luxurious $20 chargers...

Push! ;)

Seriously, it is like dripping except without the dripping ... except when you feel like dripping, and then it is also like dripping 'cause it is dripping. I drip in mine quite often -- usually have the bottle filled with a light tobacco flavor or just unflavored juice as my ADV and drip for a flavor change-up every once in a while (in fact, I consider this one of the best features).

cheers,
andrew

All this talk of receiving VMods today... I just tracked mine and saw that it was in my mail box today (I thought it would be here tomorrow since it was coming from Cali!). I am really tempted to run to the mail box and get it, even though it is 10:30 at night. ACK!!!!!! WHAT TO DO!!!???!!!!
