I love small. I question having to take it apart to change batteries and 18650's are more available and flexible. However, I think I'm going to be very happy with my 2.0 because I love small and they are so cute! (yes, cute is a higher priority than function). I'm looking at batteries now.

What about protected? I noticed they had a higher MAH rating than unprotected.

I just came from Facebook where it's being reported that DHL has stopped shipments of batteries (seems true) and some of the factories shut down due to the factory explosion in China were battery factories (dunno how true that is). I figure it's a good time to refresh my stock anyway.

Just want to say thanks for sharing the site. I grabbed a camo and the wood one :)

Been using the 2.0 for a full day now, it's no sx350 box, dna clone, vtr.. But surprisingly I like it a lot!

Sent from my Clapped Box.

Funny thing about the VMOD, yellowxboy... No, it's not an SX350 or any DNA#, nor a VTR or even an MVP. It's not a lot of things... yet....

So many of us just love this little box, this little feeder. There's just something (je ne sais crois) about it that keeps it going in Vapelandia and keeps a following. That, and new peeps are always attracted to it. I have no idea why that is, but I have had quite a few of them (along with several other devices) over the years, and I still feel quite fond of them.

I'm no cloud chaser but I love dripping with my box mods and building coils. I use my mechs for my kayfun and fogger.

But the simplicity of the vmod is just amazing. Great (not the best, but definitely not the worst) flavor, decent vapor, doesn't leak, and the device itself looks really nice.

The xl at half price right now is extremely tempting, especially since it's with free shipping and I have a ton of 18650 batteries :O

The XL IS nice..... I'll say that. I love the baby VMOD too, but the XL is more of a mod-mod. There's far less worry about batt life, yet it's still small enuf to carry as an out and about.

I'm no cloud chaser either. Funny tho..... I'm vaping the VMOD right now, with a Silo carto and 65/35 vliquid (Nitelitevapor's Tappulles) and getting QUITE the substantial weather system goin' on! Tasty too.

I have a feeling you're going to hit the button on the XL....... hang on,,, let me check.

So you did it, eh? :D

Whatever you didn't get, you can get down the line.

You can always ask questions in here. I defer to tearose, who is quite an expert on the VMOD, and there are others, too.

Happy Vapes, yellow.

Haha! I didn't pull the trigger just yet. I saw one used via the classified. If the person's price is right, maybe I'll just get that.

Thanks for the warm welcome :)

Welcome to the new Vmodians. :)

Some people need have extra bottles as they wear them out, but I've never needed the spares I bought.....and mine have had a lot of use. I think it depends on if one squanks or uses tilt and tap method to feed. Some say it's because one has screwed the bottle in too tight? Nevertheless, it's not a bad idea to pick up spare bottles.

If you do end up picking up more supplies from Vapage, a spare set of O rings could be good to have in your arsenal. The early rings weren't near as good a quality or as long lasting as the ones in the mod and sold now, but if you like to be prepared.....

Just be reminded that on post 1 of this thread are links to FourthRock's blogs which cover most all the questions and tips and tricks of vmod use.

As to batteries -- that's still up to the user for the most part, insuring you follow ECF & Rolygate's suggestions. The strong trend has been to use IMR's (or hybrid chemistries that don't come in 14500 size). I'm not opposed to using AW protected 14500's for this mod at all unless one starts using RBA's with them.

If you are loving the 2.0 you'll certainly enjoy the XL, more powerful and longer lasting battery and even a bigger liquid bottle. Just not so darned cute and not as stealthy.

Here's a comparison of size:

:D

I read up on a ton of stuff before I even ordered the device. Last thing I wanted to do was to break it!

I made sure to wash the device prior to using it. I slowly put the bottle in, making sure not to over tighten. I have some 14500 efest that fit just fine along with the two Vapage 14500 batteries included in the kit.

I was looking at the squid rda modification.. Haha I can't help it, I'm a dripper. So I have a squid coming and a 510 to 510 adapter.

With the current discount, the xl comes out to about $45 or so WITH shipping and tax. Super tempted.. Ah! Barely had the 2.0 and I'm already ready for the bigger brother.

Thank you for the welcome!

Should I have bought extra bottles?

yes, the tops sometimes wear out. Sometimes not, but when they do you will get leaking from top of bottle. Make sure you don't let the seal above the bottle fall out when you take the bottle out.....mine went down the drain first time out. When you buy bottles they include an extra seal.

Yikes! Thanks for the tip. That was one of the first things I noticed when I took apart the vmod to initially clean it. They should've included an extra seal with the spare bottle that's included in the kit.

Whenever I clean my VMODs....... I always use a strainer. There's no way I want those seals finding their way into the ocean.

Welp, those OTHER seals, , , that's ok. They live there.
