Just ordered more replacement heads for the nova. Ordered a couple more 3.5 Nova's and 2 replacement tanks for the ones that went leaky on me. I know, I know....I should rebuild my coils. I just don't want to right now. That silica is slippery and I know I need glasses for close up work. Cheaper to just buy the heads. Mine are still going strong, still only have the two that bit the dust. I just like to have that backup piece of mind.

GT is right Robin. Replacement coils are cheap so you shouldn't have to feel pressured to rebuild your own. I do it only because I make them better than what came with the Vivi Nova's. But if you're happy with how yours are working then I see no reason to change or worry about it. Enjoy! :)

Just got my first low ohm coil set up in my other aga-t2. SS solid wick 3/4 wrap of 28g kanthal. Thought my 30g would show up today but not so much. Filled with my month old bottle of dragons fire and I have a damn nic high. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1365890845.092648.jpg

Only thing I noticed was everything gets much hotter much quicker. But I guess that's to be expected. I used the pulse method and that way I had em glowing evenly in about 15 mins. I think the 30g will give me a happy medium.

Yep...do whatever keeps you off the smokes. But I'm 100% confident Robin could rebuild...she's a smart chicka! ;) And with all the expertise here in this forum, it's nice we all have tons of help when we start exploring the world of vaping.

Agree RJ. Robin could spin a perfect coil if she wanted to. So could April if she put her mind to it.

HEY FOLKS.. A QUESTION if anyone can answer.. I'm flying tomorrow. Should I be worried about leaking in my tanks? Right now they are all in a quart bag with all my liquids I'm bringing. I'm thinking maybe they should go in a separate bag within a bag because of pressure? Is that right to think that way?

I don't think you have to treat it any different than any other liquid you bring with you. But what do I know?

You headed to TX MP?

Yes sir Mr. Ed, I'm headed to Houston in the morning~ :)
To be safe I threw all my tanks in a separate bag just in case they leak. I thought I read somewhere on the forum pressure and all that fun stuff would cause leakage but I can't find it with a quick search.

Better safe than sorry. Good luck with your trip Bud. I know you've been looking forward to this day for a long, long time. I'm sure you and your girl are jacked up. You also said you would know in quick order if you'd be making the move there. How confident are you?

PicC, I've read that too, but I fly a lot and haven't experienced it. I have had leaks, but it was usually when my vivi novas or clearos got turned upside down. If you can pack them where that doesn't happen, you'll be less likely to have a mess on your hands when you get to Houston.

Putting your tanks in a separate ziplock is a good idea. I had a leak once that got all of my juice bottles and pv's all wet.

I'm full of confidence... My lady Is a little harder to read. Then again If I could read her every thought life would be fairly easy..
Regardless I'll take it one day at a time and then hopefully come back with 2 months to get engaged and move.. :) I thrive on crazy pressure and honestly need it to care again..

Pv's, tanks, bottles, new cartos, batteries, are all separated.. I'm pretty much bringing everything I own just in case I have a NO TASTE kind of week..

BTW, it's supposed to be beautiful in Houston this week.
I KNOW! MID 80S ALL WEEK~
Friday is suppposed to be 70 degrees but sadly I'll be flying back :( Then starting second job.. :( Another :( to show my feelings on that......

Enjoy your time in Houston. And eat lots of Texas BBQ and TexMex.

If you find yourself missing NYC deli food too much, you can head over to Kenny & Ziggy's Deli. I haven't been there, but I've heard it's great. (I went there once, but the line was way out the door and the wait was over an hour. No thanks.)

Tanks filled with liquid will very likely leak due to changes in pressure. This is particularly true for carto tanks and clearos since they are not truly sealed. The drop in surrounding pressure makes them equalize through the connector. Bottles should be fine if the caps are secure. Regular filled cartos (sans tank) are safe.
