Doesn't the Provari have an amp limit? 3.5 amps I think. Touche.

See, this is what happens when you don't play in rarified air. I completely forgot about the amp limiter.. :p

I don't think I've ever come close to the amp limit myself. But, now that you've mentioned it, I'm going to have to try DF on my mech and see what the difference may be.

And, here I thought you were going to "micro coil".

Looks pretty neat. You're going to want to carry spare batteries though.. lots of them. :)

I do micro coils in the Kayfun. Dual/quad drippers get better results with instant heat of regular wraps. If I used a dripper on a vv, I would do micro coils.

12.8 amps!!!! Battery drain!!!

I took the quad dripper to ECC. A fully charged MNKE would last me about 2 hours of dripping before getting to about 3.4v. Amazing clouds. Not my every day vape, for sure. Fun for sitting by the TV or at the pool, but the phat clouds don't give the best flavor due to the huge holes needed to give it air. The Kayfun is still a better vape with micro coils @ 1 ohm.

ECC was a blast. I went with the wife yesterday. The convention was a bit of a disappointment in some respects. It was mostly juice vendors looking for wholesalers. Lots of Pinoy mods (which I don't care for). I would consider ECC more of a trade show than anything else. I did pick up a Doc Dave Titanium Steam Turbine (time to sell my RSSTs, AGA-T2 and all the custom caps). The Steam Turbine is a force to be reckoned with.

We talked at length with Dimitri (the Vaping Greek). We had a nice one-on-one and chatted about everything from small form factor DNA20 box mods, to ecig legislation, to restaurants. He is super nice. My wife, who is not a vaper, was more excited than I to see him.

Phil Busardo was there and we kept trying to get a word with him but he was taping the Vape Team netcast with Dimitri. We gave up stalking him and left at around 9:30. Once outside the event, there was Phil with the lead designer from Innokin. After a minute listening to them chat, Phil came over to Ellen and me and proceeded to talk with us for what seemed to be at least a half hour. We shared thoughts about ECC, new devices, his review process, and joked around a bit. He was really gracious with his time and genuinely happy to share a few laughs with total strangers. I snapped a photo of him and Ellen but it's on her iPhone. I'll post that later. I thanked him for teaching me how to re-coil my first Vivi Nova head nearly a year ago and for all the time he puts into helping the vaping community. Neither he nor Dimitri gets paid or sponsored for their contribution. Spending time with them was the highlight of the day without a doubt.

That's cool X! I agree, Busardo has been a God Send to the vaping world. He does it our of pure joy and a desire to help others. His videos and all the stuff he shows requires a huge investment (and how about travel/lodging expenses to these shows). A big hat's off to Phil Busardo. Can't wait to see your picture of your pretty bride with Phil.

Yes fellas, when you see Ellen you will know right away that X married up. :)

Even on my girls worst day I'm still marrying up.
Love conventions man. Love hearing your thoughts on ecc also.
I can chat vaping all damn day with total strangers glad you had a great time and the TI ST looked amazing the other day. I actually almost caved and bought one thru VR while they had em. Smacked myself and shut my computer off.

Yeah, the Ti costs a pretty penny. I bought it at the Vape Rev booth because Doc Dave was a no-show. Paid cash so saved on CA tax. I'm distilling down my collection. I would rather have a single $250 collectable than four RSSTs which mostly sit unused. Same goes with mods. Rather have 1 Nemesis than 5 Smoktech thingies...but I have three Nems, so my point is moot. Anyway, I like nice things.

My wife is no exception. She's the pot of gold for me. Everything else is fringe.

Agreed! On every point. My collection has taken a turn but it was all for the greater good and I'll build it back mod wise soon. Totally agree on one ST vs. 4 rssts. My 2 kayfuns get used daily and the rssts and aga sit empty begging to be filled. Nevr gonna happen.

devices like the AGA, RSST and others are called 'Genesis' atomizers. Not sure what the origin of the term is... like if there was a model named Genesis and these have took that name... like "IBM Compatible" was used back in the stone age of personal computers. But a 'Genesis' atomizer is typically one that has a deck with posts for a rebuildable coil and a wick (typically a stainless steel mesh wick) that extends through a hole down into the juice tank.

So Genny is just a nickname for Genesis.

So I'm embarrassed to ask this but that has never stopped me. ;) Why are they called Genny's?

The original idea for the "stainless steel wick tank atomizer" was the brainchild of a German forum member back in 2010. The idea was improved and modded by many different users and the original Genesis line of atomizer was born out of Croatia. It was, in fact, named the "Genesis". Now we call any such device by the same descriptor.
