I'm seeing a lot of coops using popmoney now. I just went thru one and used it and it was very easy and painfree. But if you ever do that it takes 2 secs to get signed up with a debit card. Congrats!

I kinda can't wait to get started Smitty. How does it work? Both buying and selling?

Classifieds are for merchandise that is already in a persons possession.. Usually shipped out that day or next day. Prices can range depending on what seller wants for his stuff. Sometimes you get awesome deals from people..

Co-ops are for ordering from China, having that stuff made per order usually and just WAITING.. Waiting for stuff to ship to co-op managers home and then waiting for managers to package and ship to yours..

Two very different things.

I'm a total co-op addict. They're a crap shoot, and there's a lot of waiting, but you can get some cool stuff out of them. And some crap. It tends to be bleeding-edge (at least when you order it, if not when it finally arrives), but it's cheap.

Oh, and my Penelope gained weight since that post earlier today. My "Fat Penelope" tank arrived from Greece (along with a regular dainty-sized clear tank, and another clear tank for my iAtty)

Not all the coops are from China. I got my EA Mod from a coop. Made in Finland. Not all the stuff out of China is crap either. I was in a coop which used the entire Health Cabin catalog for purchase, so we got 20% off and free shipping. You just need to browse through the interest threads and see what's coming and jump on something you want. There's a new mech mod made by Segelei with brass contacts for $23. Not bad for a throw-around mech. 575524_203195903156521_150082269_n.jpg

Once in a while something comes along that's worth the buy; cheap mesh or wire, cartos for 60 cents each. My EA was purchased for $115. Retails for a lot more.

Everything above the fire button is electronics, so it is pretty big. I never use my Vamo in 650 mode. The only way I'll put in an 18650 in my Vamo is when I get around to doing THIS with it.

I've seen that before, very cool. And a 100% chance that I'll never do that.

Laptop battery dead, and no charger - daughter used it to charge hers and didn't tell me. Thought it was still in brief case. Kids will be kids, even when they grow up, they are still your kids!

XFoo, I've seen those too, wouldn't mind shimming my Vamo that way. As is I only use in 18650, 'cause I don't have the smaller bats. ;)

It all depends on what you're selling. Generally people don't buy high nic stuff much (over 12mg) unless it's Pluid or something hard to find. No one will pay more than 50 cents/ml with free shipping, but usually it gets down to about 35-40 cents/ml. If juice isn't selling in a couple of days, I pull the add and try another day. When there's a lot of trading, the juice sales get shoved to the second page in a matter of minutes, so having friends willing to check in and bump helps.

I'm taking the schematics to a local machine shop to see how much it will cost to make 30 sets of those aluminum brackets. The designer put up a PDF for people to use freely, but he lives in Montreal so I may make them available for Vamo owners at cost.

Isn't the waiting even longer with the Chinese New Year right now? Just a thought...

There was sort of a lull in co-ops for a while there since orders couldn't be placed. They're back at work now, though.

The delay isn't in getting it from China, really. Most of it comes from gathering up all the buyers and then getting them to send in payment. Some are faster than others, though... different co-op managers seem to run on very different clocks.
