Let's talk hardware

Thanks Bronze, I appreciate that. Someone on this thread directly referenced Pluid in respect to another vendor's juice, and said it compared rather favorably. I can't find the post, but I'd like to try the juice, as Pluid is perpetually out of stock. In fact, i went a certain website that carries it, and absolutely EVERYTHING they sell is out of stock. As in, everything. Every damn item. How on earth does one do business like that? Is vaping gear and juice as rare as diamonds? Bull..... Talk about a contrived market. Websites that can't take online orders for a year; devices that are so rare you darn near can't buy em; juice that is always out of stock. Why don't these idiots just tell everyone that they don't want to sell anything? Why manufacture this BS supply and demand crap? That's why I want to buy something else, that is available. I don't want or need a badge of honor that I'm among the elite ...... who stay up night after night and hit refresh every 5 minutes to buy some "rare" crap made in someone's bathroom, or garage. If these guys are in business, they should be in business. The demand is there. Just get to it. God, that pisses me off.
Reminds me of a certain vendor...

I would think. I just want to learn about the VMOD so I can give April all her options. Plus I just enjoy learning about it. I never really looked into bottom feeders and always wanted to. Now I know. :)

I'll be using my HH.357's on there, but anything with a 510 connection would fit - it's just that some would defeat the purpose of bottom feeding, as you have discerned all on your own. ;) This is all new to me too Bronze. Reading a lot and should be ready by the time the VMod XL arrives.

On the Vapage AMG Hybrid atty's and the Silo cartos, there are special slots cut at 4 points around the perimeter of the base that allow juice to be drawn up into the tube.

Dust, did you ever use the attys that Vapage packs up in their kits? They use a stainless steel mesh. Looks interesting. Or maybe that was a different one. Can't remember now. Tough to get old. :)
Oh BTW, Bronze. Vapage attomizers are sometimes available at 2.5 - 2.8 ohm, would that be high enough for April?

Are they the ones with the stainless steel mesh in them? I saw one today. It might technically be a cartomizer. It was a SS mesh with a standard coil laying on top imbedded slightly. It's killing me where I saw that.
Might have been here:
Vapage AMG Hybrid Bottom Feeder (2-pack)
The second photo out of 3.
The coil is wrapped round a wick setting inside a ceramic cup with two ends open, then surrounded by SS mesh. Ten wraps to boot! Notice they are angled so that they fit inside the cup. The cup stands as insulation from the mesh.

EDIT: A day late and a dollar short.

It's a hybrid atty. It's like combining a 901 and a 510 atty into one. The HH.357 is the same thing except that they're hand built with Cisco spec parts. The mesh feeds the wick to the coil. Great dripping attys.
Would the HH.357 work on the VMod? They have the hole through the center post plus the two air holes just above the 510 threads.

I have two 1.5ohm and they are sweet! Great for testing juices.

Someone posted here about a juice similar to Pluid. Lookin for that to try, I like black licorice/Anice.
I think I saw that too, unfortunately, can't remember where. Short term memory loss. Was it on the CoOp thread?

EDIT: Again, A day late and a dollar short.:facepalm::facepalm:

Oh BTW, saw you made it for the Protanks, congrats, Ice. Half price from that other place. :toast:

Seems everyone save Buggs made it before they maxed out. Wonder what happened to her? I think Hibi may increase the MOQ if there's a lot of folks that didn't make it. At first, she was going to limit at 5 each, when it went live, the limit was 3. I'll send Buggs one of mine if she doesn't get in on the stretch. I originally only want 2. :p

Yes you can use any 510 atty with a hole in the bottom on the v-mod.

From my experience, China to my place is about a week - US to my place is 10 - 14 days. Remember, Thailand is just south and a bit west of China. So going back ain't gonna be any faster, unless you go Express.

Ice, I found it for you. I remembered that post wasn't too long ago. Sandwiched inbetween my questions about Tom's Provari issues that he had a few years ago.

Robin, you ROCK!! Even if you're "occasionally" a spaz! (Notice I did say, occasionally? :toast:)

Thanks Bronze, I will for sure consider that :)

Awesome Robin, that is the exact post I was searching for. You guys are awesome, really. :D

Cool, thanks, Mr. Dee III *Chak waves his Vamo in proxy of his incoming VMod* ;)

Chak, can you please take a pic of the coil and silica wick setup on the AGA T2? I'd like to see how you have it setup.

As requested: Here's the whole set.

AGA T2 with 3mm Silica by Chakris1, on Flickr

Single 3mm strand, wicks just ok - would be better with two strands. Design on the blackboard now. :matrix:

I think it would burn more evenly if the coil was horizontal and curved slightly towards the side with the other end going down into the hole on the other side. Maybe, I'll utilise that taller ground screw as well.

Haha, good luck. 9 chances out of 10 their postal service or plane service or rail service or any service is on strike so it might take a while

I switched to the atty on the VMOD and it's still too hot and burnt then I get gurgles from adding more liquid when trying to reduce the burnt taste. To be honest, I'm finding it very intimidating. Sigh... I hate the learning curve. I really have no clue what I'm doing.

Yes April...you DO know what you're doing. Anyone who gets new gear for the first time goes through the exact same things you go through. Be patient. OK? It will be fine and so will you and the VMOD. You'll get the hang of it. And once you feel comfortable that you are feeding the juice properly, then you can decide if the vape is still too hot. If it is, Vapage sells attys and cartos with a higher resistance that will cool it down a little for you.

New Provari just came as the older one went back for repair. Mailman just swapped out boxes.

I found the very minuscule Blem. It's by the power button and looks like whatever drilled out the hole for it just very lightly skipped over the housing. You really have to look for it in just the right light. Ok, the red LED is slightly obnoxious. Blue is so much easier on the eyes. :). Other than that.....perfection! It fires great. I notice on this one the power button has no play in it, my other one I could jiggle it and was not a snug fit. Hmmmm. That might have something to do with the probs I was having?

My button jiggles a little too Robin. I don't think it is a problem. But might be their "blem".
