So where do you diy ers get your Nic? I can't find it in stock anywhere

I get my nic from ecigexpress (ECX for short). It is very good and has a solid TH with distinct pepperiness. Some unflavored nic is over processed, in my opinion, and lends no character to the final mix. ECX offers 100mg nic at prices just a tad higher than Wizard Labs (about $10 more/liter with a coupon code).

ETA: I get my PG and VG from Essential Depot by the gallon. They offer a good bulk deal; one gallon each of PG and VG for $55 and free shipping.

Legend has taken on a whole new feel....

I re-coiled the RSST last night.... My very first wrap (5 coils of 28g) last week came in at 1.3ohm... vaped OK, but I noticed that the coils took a second to get going and that juice was getting tossed off... making these little vapor trails as they went. While REALLY cool looking, I figured that wasn't the most efficient.... some of the juice was just getting thrown around the chamber rather than vaporized. Not cool.

So I pulled the coil off and re-wrapped... I dropped a wrap, read as 1.1, then one more, and it came out to .9 ohms. I pulse-ox'd it and it took a little bit of fiddling to get the coil glowing completely, and then again to eliminate a hot spot on the bottom leg... but once I got that all squared away, man... what a difference. The coil heats quick and I get vapor, rather than something that looks like some e-juice spitting volcano.

If you had someone close their eyes, they might not really be able to distinguish this from smoking a pipe... The vapor has a strong, sweet, rich pipe tobacco flavor with a potent (but not burning) throat hit and a bit of a spicy mouth feel... and without that whole "die of cancer while stinking up the room" component, of course. Basically... EXACTLY the experience I've been searching for over the past 4 months. :)

So your thoughts on it?
It's STUPID LONG THOUGH!

Yeah it's pretty damn long in 650 mode!! Not a big deal to me though since it wont leave the house. So far I love it, hits like a train. I won't really know for sure how I feel about it until I get to mess with it for a few days. Either way for $125 it's worth the money

Wizard Labs had some lower strength nic the other night...and I watched it quickly go away within minutes with the FDA online ban scare the other day. I'm about to give DIYing a go...and I'm scared and excited all at the same time. I want tobaccos and I have to use 100% VG which I think makes it all much more difficult to get right. I've researched so much lately that my eyes are bugging out, my son feels abandoned, and my chores are suffering. If I'm not good at it, at least I have some stuff stored away for the e-pocalypse. :D

Kayfun Lite build tonight hopefully. Planning on using 32 gauge and 3mm silica. Anything I should watch out for?!

Make sure your coil is compact and directly above the air hole. Lift the coil away from the deck after you secure the screws to avoid contact shorts. I would double (fold) the wick before you wrap. After you place the combustion chamber over the wick and coil, cut them about 1/4 inch above the chamber wall. Wet them with a little juice before you stuff them back down the chamber. They behave better when wet. Be careful not to jam the wicks in front of the intake channels as that can prevent the flow from entering the chamber.

So I'm guessing you've found every place there is to get tobacco extract from?

Well I'm still looking for a DNA20 mod. The cheapest I've found is from ShanMods. They get good reviews but the size is bigger than I'm hoping to get. Although they do use duel 18650s but it would still be in the $200 range. I have found some really nice ones but they are just to pricey to justify. I'm not in a hurry which is good. I may just break down and build my own. I think with a nice Dremel kit I could do one from wood. Of course I'd have to buy the Dremel kit. Dang it's always something.:p Not counting the Dremel I could keep it under $100 I think.
