fasttech is a misnomer. Been waiting three weeks for an order with nothing but a 12-day-old shipping notice so far.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2

Apparently every single package going out of hong kong is being xrayed one by one to check for batteries. They re not shipping those anymore from what i hear. My Nemesis clone still isn't here. Ordered on the 12th.

My VAMO croaked. I got a lot of use out of it. It's a feature-filled mod that performs excellently. Nice price. It's no Provari in terms of durability but it also costs only a third (or less). I'll get another one. Or a mod maybe.

My HD custom VMO died as well. Don't know what the problem is - hit the fire button it flashes twice and dies. Don't think I'll get another till after a Provari arrives. Due date: late Oct./early Nov. if I'm lucky.

What happened to it?

David, it doesn't always fire. It's an intermittent problem. I lifted the spring to ensure contact but it doesn't seem to have helped. It also shuts down and I have to power it up again. Add that the right button doesn't click anymore (could be the cause of my problem) and the finish is completely gone and my VAMO is essentially kaput. :(

Not complaining though. It has been a solid device for a good six months. I use it half the day and was the one I took out with me. I'll stick with my Provari full time till I get the VAMO replaced. I see Fasttech sells the SS version for cheap (plus no shipping). That's where Bridget got hers. But I also see people complaining their Fasttech shipments are getting hung up.

Bronze it took 9 days for me to get my svd from ft which is the usual , same amount of time it took for my vamo3 but I gotta tell ya the threading on the svd beats the hell out of my vamo3 .

For someone who rails against Fasttech as much as you do I'm surprised you ordered anything from them. :) I've never ordered anything from them. Not by design necessarily. Are they clone sellers disguising as genuine?
Bronze if something on their site says genuine kanger or innokin then it is, if they don't mention the brand name then it's cloned they are straight forward about it. They have a 6 month return for replacement warranty on apv's so my vamo3 is covered for 3 more months and I got 6 months on my svd . They got a national holiday from the first till the seventh of october so I'd wait until that's over with but as long as you don't order batteries you won't have problems .

If I can get tapatalk installed on my cellphone I'll post pics of both.

I looked over the Innokin pretty good on the FT page. Looks nice. I think Bridge's SS VAMO is all SS (not plated). Between FT being partially closed for a week and the Hong Kongers putting a bottleneck in the shipping, I may look elsewhere.

Since you have both the SVD and VAMO...which do you prefer?
