That's the thing... I don't notice a ceiling.

my 1.2 ohm RSST at 3.6v is pretty docile... At 4.1, it fires on par with my K100... then starts roaring harder than the K100 when pushed up to 5v and beyond. When I push it to 6v, it starts vaping pretty close to where it was when I had the .8 wrap on the K100.

I have IMR 18650s in both, fresh. That Vamo is pushing a hell of a lot more than 11 watts.

I'm going to pay around with it some more.

What version vamo do you have? I don't think they changed the amp limit on the pcb, but you may be operating in avg mode (NO1), which is noticeably hotter than rms (NO2).

It's a V3... the only mode is RMS. I don't have the gear to actually test what is going on... I'm just eyeballing the activity when I pull the cap and fire the thing. I put both a RSST with a 1.2 wrap and a IGO-L with a 1.4 ohm coil. Both show a noticeable increase in both the vapor output and... well... I guess you could call it the energy of that vape. I have to do a couple of things, but I'll post a video of the various levels so you won't think I'm imagining things. :)

When we spoke with Phil at ECC, he wen on and on about this clearo. He admitted it looked just like a Vivi Nova and wished the aesthetis was more updated, but he thought this was the absolute best vape from a clearo (top or bottom coil) he had ever had. Couldn't put it down.

My local B&M (Empiremods) is getting these in in about two weeks. I'll pick a few up and give you guys my opinions if any of you are interested.

Yeah...in that FT order, have some drip tips and a V5 RDA coming... Got the 4 hole version on the V5 and I'm going to give a dual microcoil build a chance. I might be regretting those extra holes though. The 1.2 micro I have in my IGO-l.... what a beast that is turning out to be. Of all the devices/setups I've had to date, that nondescript sub $10 RDA is giving me the best vape I've had to date. Great flavor, strong (but not harsh) throat hit.

Def going to be picking up another IGO-l.... realizing the vape I can get out of a single coil... why bother with two?

Heh.. unfortunately, the vapor production has taken an equally big jump. This was the dripper I used to quietly vape at my desk at work.... not as easy when this thing pumps at fog machine levels... Good if I wanted to show off on Youtube (Dude... the CLOUDS!), but not when it would make the immediately area around my cube look like London in a Sherlock Holmes novel.

Now... I gotta go get a MM to check out the voltage across those posts.

I agree about the single hole theory. Big clouds are fun and satisfying, but you can get fantastic performance from a single coil easily. I sometimes wish I still had a single hole topcap for one of my RDAs.

On another note, from what I've gleaned off other discussions is the V3 has a 5 amp limit regardless of battery. It seems they are really able to pump out the power. Too bad they went with the chamfored top with the pips. Not my thing at all.

I'm buying the SVD as a backup for my Provari. Should I get my Provari box out?

You already know the answer to that :p I have 3 VW devices collecting dust. If I'm not reaching for a mech I'm reaching for my Provari
