ETA: And here's the post where he clearly announces the naming of his "invention".

That's wild... I mean, I started vaping in January of this year... and didn't really get into the fancy schancy stuff until April or May... and by then, the market is silly with genesis style atomizers. It's crazy that the device is really only 3 years old...

Though, being so new, I kind of came into vaping right as there was an explosion of high quality devices... things like Vivi Novas, Evods, designs that are almost as new to vaping as I was :). I haven't been here forever, like some of the 'ol school' guys who were around when there were a ton of different connection types and the attys were basic, riddled with limitations and it was really just simple atomizers and carts...

I mean, grab a Kayfun or Ithaka and go back in time a few years.. it would have blown everyone's mind.

For those of you who don't hang out on the big thread, I'll post a link below.

Vape mail from Provape came in today and I had to pick it up from the post office. I was kinda scart at first cause I thought customs was gonna fine my .... plus the arm& leg. Turns out the duty was only $6.42 plus $4.94 for tax = $11.36 - I can live with that.

You've got vape mail!

I'll just say that I've bought counterfeits, but only after I've spent for the real deal first and it was only for comparison. I'm no saint, but there is something very wrong about placing a maker's mark on a clone and deceiving anyone, be they clueless or not. Scrub that Svoemesto mark off, would be my suggestion.

That's how I see it too X. Yes, most of us can see through it but there are some new to the game who cannot. It's just plain deceit and it doesn't sit well with me.

It's not FT per say. They are just a retailer. I own the Nemesis Clone (fantastic device btw, a few things that very slightly annoy me, but for $30 it was a steal), and it's made by H-Cigar I think.

I guess FT perpetuates the expansion of 1 to 1 copies, but it's not made by them, and the demand is huge. Trust me, I would love nothing more than to buy a real deal Nemesis, or join the club with you guys talking up the Kayfun. But there's just no way. Perfectly happy with my purchases. Do I like the fact that they copy logos, etc? No, I actually can't stand it. But the fact that I can have a good quality device and a good vaping experience at 1/5th the price makes me feel a bit better.

Edit: Really excited for your review of the Kayfun clone Leo. I'm having no luck with the RSST, just not getting the quality that I want. Maybe the KF Clone will work out better for me. Otherwise, I'm perfectly happy with my carto tanks =]

Neo, this is no way a knock on you or anyone who buys a clone (I've done it). I just don't like the seedy nature in which they are sold. If it is a knockoff, just say it's a knockoff and do not insult my intelligence (or rip off the noobs).

It's totally seedy, I wish they made just slight design changes to differentiate it to be honest. The copying of the logo and the name bothers me quite a bit. I'm gonna try to figure out a way to remove them if I can. It is pretty though, Atmomixani did an excellent job.

Talked to Keith in person over at Empiremods about clones. He was ...... when he first saw the Kamry K100. It was basically a direct copy of his device. He was going to hire a lawyer and everything, then came the cost to fight it and it was astronomical (I won't get into financials). However he said it didn't hurt his business at all, in fact he can barely keep the Empiremod in stock. He's usually sold out. I'm hoping one day with a bit more disposable income a real Nemesis will be in my hands =]

Yeah... FT is pretty inconsistant when it comes to this sort of thing... sometimes, they name it something else entirely (like the V5, which is a Nimbus clone), other times they use the same name as the original (Trident), other times they come out and use the brand AND model name (like the SvoeMesto Kayfun)

A very important point that China or other counterfeiters are capitalizing on. Most manufacturers are not going through the process of registering their devices, and when it's copied, they don't have the finance to fight it. Does not make it right, but that's how it is.

I don't believe that FT is the one that gives the devices their name. They are the middleman between the Supplier/Manufacturer and the end-user.

Correct. Think of FT as a mini Amazon.com

Kayfun Lite number 3 has been ordered from Vaperev. I lost patience with waiting for Intaste to re-stock. Also ordered in a couple other goodies.

Bender: Since the 3rd one is going to be dedicated to my pipes, I figured the bender would be a cool feature to add in addition to a pipe-stem.

Twins: For the Provari Mini. I've been using the regular black extension cap to use with the 18500's, so it's going to get a facelift.

I'll be lucky to have these in hand by the end of next week. Sigh! That's one thing I love about Intaste. The FedEx shipping is super quick.

But they do control how it is listed on their site. Like my V5... no where in their description do they ever say "Nimbus". Granted, you can see it in the pictures I believe, but they don't come out and say "Nimbus RDA"

They've done what they always do, in this case they used the word styled to indicate it's a clone , they sell protank clones that they call protanks or protank like but list the genuine item as kanger protank , I guess that could confuse some people that don't know the difference but it's possibly due to translation as well , and I do like the fact that they warranty items that some stateside vendors don't like the Vamo.

Trying to compete with the Aspire perhaps?
Kanger needs to do something to compete, my protanks are a PITA compared to my Aspire, the Aspire doesn't leak flood or gurgle at all and the flavor is better too, I have to run my protanks on the edge of flooding to avoid dry hits with the high vg that I like and using higher pg is like drinking through a straw in them.

I've come to conclude that the original Protank was better than the v2. They're all a pain though. I sold every one I own. Oddly, the pt2 mini works best of all. I have a couple of those I use for emergencies. I'm curious about the Aspire. It seems promising with very positive reviews. It's good to have something you don't have to coil that vapes as good as high end devices.

On another note, I received both my 91% today. Stellar vape. Identical to the kfl with the addition of air flow control. Now I have 5 "Kayfun" devices and waiting on my conversion kits which have shipped. That'll make 7 all day. I think I'll stop there....maybe. :p

For the record, I estimate I have put at least 125 mls of Dragon's Fire through the same wick/coil in my Kayfun Lite. I just went 5 tanks before cleaning. It was ready. I have yet to experience a dry hit and I have yet to see a single molecule of leakage. I've never flooded the chamber or even so much as had a gurgle. The flavor and feel is still the best I have experienced.

I struggle to find even a single thing to complain about my Kayfun Lite. It is far and away the best juice feeding device I have owned.

Group buy outside ECF. I ordered it two months ago. A lot of people have been noticing flaws in manufacturing and packaging, ie missing parts and lack of threading in the fill hole. I think KEBO rushed many of their fulfillments since the manu took so long. I was fortunate to receive two devices without flaws. I'm not a fan of the media finish, so I will likely sand and polish at least one of them.
