KFL #3 is in the house from a trade....she needs a bath which probably won't happen until Sunday. She looks to be in stellar shape though. Bronze dumb question...when you boil your parts...do you boil the plastic section or just wash it out?

Not the General but, if you take it completely apart, rinse the plastic pieces with warm water and let the stainless pieces sit in some hot water prior to rinsing them out.

Welcome to the 3 K-Lite club!! :)

Funny isn't it...from one to three in the snap of a finger:laugh: I've always been one that likes to have multiple flavors loaded and ready to go throughout the day. I really hope I have a chance to try the micro coil build this weekend. At this point Sunday afternoon should be mine to do what I want....seems like there is always something to do or no energy to try something new.

Probably not of much interest to the ProVari crowd but it's got me pumped !

Rob O'Niell has announced a Woodvil run. 200 to 300 mods, will take 8- 10 weeks. making 18650's, 18490's, mini's and maybe some super mini's (14500 mod body adapted to 18490 batt). No VV Woodvils at this time. AND NO PREORDERS. (damn). Needless to ssay, REOVille is rather excited over this news.

Seven Grandkids and Rob does a Wood Run during Christmas... don't be surprised if Papaw tries to get a few extra long runs between now and the holidays.

I'd love to get my hands on one of those!

Meh.. If the wood can't be cupped and does not have a pipe stem attached to it, I'll pass right by it. :D

For you Porvari owners have a look. Fast forward to 6:20.

Don't need a squonker with the K-Lites on the Provaris. :D

I think it's time I took my Reo Grand out of time-out. I still haven't forgiven it for shorting out on me the day we were leaving for Mexico near the end of June! Maybe a micro-coil with cotton in the ERA would work better than whatever it was that I had in there.

I am curious how your Grand shorted. What kind of attachment (RBA, Clearo, etc) were you using ? Was it the REOS or the attachment that caused the short ? I use Mini's/ RM2 and nothing else. And they get abused. All four corners are dinged, even the corners on the catch cup platform are showing signs of wear, and the powder coating is worn off the bottom of both mods. Never had a short, though.... I've read that shorting a REO can blow out the battery spring in the bottom of the Mod. Hopefully that did not happen with yours.

Oh, it was definitely the build that I had in the ERA. I built it similar to how I had my Phoenix at the time. Vertical mesh wick. There must have been a short in it that I did not catch.. and it ended up collapsing the spring on my Grand.

That's why I replaced my Hornet with a REOMizer 2.0 (RM2). The RM2 has a porcelain lining in the base of the coil camber to help prevent that sort of thing. And as much as I abuse my mods, I need all the help I can get  Hope you get your Grand cooking again before it gets too cold for Golf, Dusty

P.S. Is there room in a Grand for a Safety Fuse ? The ones I bought won't fir in a Mini 14500

It's been too cold for Golf the last few weeks, Papaw. Temps going down to 20F tonight. Not sure about the safety fuse, but I did have a Kick running in it with a 18500 battery. The spring in the Reo is supposed to be it's weakest link and is SUPPOSED to collapse in the event of a short, so in effect it was just doing it's job. :)

I advise to take off all plastic/rubber parts before boiling IA.

Oh I will be in line with you Papa. I NEED a woodville to go with my Grand and 18490.

On another note, I got an iSmoka Magoo yesterday (Ithika clone), dual coil at 1.8 ohm, and I am very pleased. Can adjust everything and anything but is quite complicated. Great vape though. Currently have NET Black Cherry in the magoo and vaping clouds.
