The Neme is alive! Looked at Todd's video first before fooling with it to make sure I was securing the contact pin correctly and learning all the battery configurations. I have it in 18650 mode now and it's still a half inch shorter than the Provari in 18500 mode. I like that!
Initial impressions: I have a basic Phoenix RBA outfitted with a 28ga., 1.5mm I.D., 8-wrap coil coming in at 1.0 ohms threaded with cotton ball wick. I loaded it up with W2V's, London. A nice NET (and an atty killer). It is definitely a warmer vape but not as warm as I had been anticipating. It's at least tolerable though I can see where chain vaping might be a challenge. We'll have to see about that. Flavor is incredible as it always is out of a Phoenix. Every bit as good as my Kayfun. The low resistance build makes it very quick on the firing button. No waiting around...it makes vapor very quickly just as I expected it would. Very happy as this was the primary reason why I wanted to go low-resistance/mechanical. It has achieved that goal to be sure. The fire button is sticky and squeaky. I definitely need to work on that. I have to believe there are tips and tricks to help that. It's as pretty as it gets. A very handsome piece of gear, built well (except for that sticky/noisy fire button that I have to figure out), very nice threading. This Neme is high quality to be sure. I just need to see what my tolerance is for the warmer vape. And of course, I will need to fiddle with it....determine best time to change batteries, build set-ups, air flow adjustments, etc.. And I also need to get my Kayfun atop the thing. In time. So far, so good for initial impressions of the Nemesis clone.
