Yeah I'm kind of seeing that with the 28ga. In the morning think I'll use the 30 again. The nice thing is if you're not crossed eyed from being tired, even making a new coil doesn't take much time. I'd better hit the triangle before I fall asleep at the pc...goodnight all..

Goodnight Ms. IA. I'm headed for slumberbliss too.

Not sure why I couldn't think of that lol.

And how do you like the mellow melange? I love the flavor of it but it has zero throat hit.

I like it a lot but I also am not a fan of the throat hit. I took 3 ml out and replaced it with 3 ml of 100mg nic. Brings the nic up to around 20mg and improves the TH without dulling the flavor very much at all

I can't handle 20 mg nicotine. I usually vape around 10 to 12. I'm on my last tank of it now and am debating whether or not to order more. I really do love the flavor but it is like inhaling flavored air

Any word on your nemmy clone Bronze?

Ha! I just went out to check the box. Maildude hasn't been by yet. Tracking says it made my post office this morning. Looks like you could be right about the delivery time JW. They must throw those smaller packages on airplanes. I already have one of my Phoenix RBA's wired up. 28ga, 1.5mm ID, 8-wraps. Clocking in at 1.0 ohms. I was kind shooting for 0.8 ohms so I'll have to play with it a little more. I have a piece of cotton ball threaded through it and soaking in some W2V's, London. May as well start it out with a super gunker.

The Neme is alive! Looked at Todd's video first before fooling with it to make sure I was securing the contact pin correctly and learning all the battery configurations. I have it in 18650 mode now and it's still a half inch shorter than the Provari in 18500 mode. I like that!

Initial impressions: I have a basic Phoenix RBA outfitted with a 28ga., 1.5mm I.D., 8-wrap coil coming in at 1.0 ohms threaded with cotton ball wick. I loaded it up with W2V's, London. A nice NET (and an atty killer). It is definitely a warmer vape but not as warm as I had been anticipating. It's at least tolerable though I can see where chain vaping might be a challenge. We'll have to see about that. Flavor is incredible as it always is out of a Phoenix. Every bit as good as my Kayfun. The low resistance build makes it very quick on the firing button. No waiting around...it makes vapor very quickly just as I expected it would. Very happy as this was the primary reason why I wanted to go low-resistance/mechanical. It has achieved that goal to be sure. The fire button is sticky and squeaky. I definitely need to work on that. I have to believe there are tips and tricks to help that. It's as pretty as it gets. A very handsome piece of gear, built well (except for that sticky/noisy fire button that I have to figure out), very nice threading. This Neme is high quality to be sure. I just need to see what my tolerance is for the warmer vape. And of course, I will need to fiddle with it....determine best time to change batteries, build set-ups, air flow adjustments, etc.. And I also need to get my Kayfun atop the thing. In time. So far, so good for initial impressions of the Nemesis clone.

This W2V London is awesome stuff if you like an in-your-face, straight forward NET. W2V's Louisville is also very good. I might like L'Ville a little more but both are stupendous. But if you don't like to get socked in the face with straight-up tobacco then don't try it. I like it though!!! Very satisfying. I wish Adam would come out with a couple/few NETs like this. It's not that I haven't suggested it. :)

Vape Royalty. The joint I bought it from. Their quote from their website...."Always Use Protected Batteries from reputable brands such as AW or eFest".

AW IMRs are not protected batteries, Excellency.

They are "safe chemistry" batteries.

Do look over the information I linked. It is worth looking at.

EDIT: Clarified the post. They do make AWs that are protected, but not the standard red IMRs most commonly purchased.

If you take the button assembly apart and clean it up well with some polish it will fix the squeaks and sticking. Just be careful when you take it apart because there is a little pin in there that keeps the button from spinning freely. You don't want to lose that

Will do JW. Thanks!

AW does offer protected batteries Lion. Mine are unprotected AW's (IMRs) as I went with the consensus on this thread that the safe chemistry design was appropriate for a mech. I just found it interesting that Vape Royalty recommended a protected battery. Perhaps JW is right....they're just employing CYA. I think with mechs (along with rebuildables), it is wise that the owner knows what the hell they're doing before they decide to spring for these gadgets. It also helps to pay attention....like making sure you slip the battery in the corect side up. :)

Thanks for that link Lion. I will give it a look over. I think I might have read through it before. That's where I learned about "safe chemistry". Mighta been you who linked it awhile back.

I've got two or three packages sitting at my daughter's house waiting for a mule to come this way. Been over two months now, but will finally be on the way around New Year when my Sis-in-law comes out to visit her mom.

I have to watch my rebuilding so I don't run out before then. Got a spool of 30g and one of 28b along with about 24" of silica wick coming in on that load. One of my Odyssey mecks is coming back from repair too. I forget what's in the third package. hmmm

Inventory shows over 6 feet of silica in various lengths and widths, but only 4' 4" of 32g wire and 2' 4" of 0.10 twisted wire. Should get me through, eh?

What unit of measurement do they use for wire in Russia? Anybody know?
The wire they sent me is marked 0.10. It came to me twisted, but even so is finer than 32g twisted.

I got to be honest with you RJ, I'm done with FT. I ordered only one item from them (an SVD). Besides the slow shipping times (which I can live with), I simply do not trust what I am buying from them. They are devious with how they market their stuff. And I don't know what is genuine from them. I wonder if any of it is. My SVD acted up only a month after I got it. I just do not like that place. I'm willing to spend 15% - 20% more from a reputable joint and knowing exactly what I'm getting. Just me.
