I've also got a svd from FT, it was 4-5 months ago, still works well. One 18350 battery from FT is dead now (I've ordered 4), but all APVs I bought from them are ok.

That's good to hear. I'll be sending my SVD back before the six month replacement warranty expires. I was using protected batteries in mine so I want to use unprotected AW's and see if that makes a difference. I don't know why it would but I want to try. The protected batteries are old and unbranded. They came with a Lavatube kit I bought a year ago. I want to run those AW's and see how it goes.

General I think you may have hit the nail on the head , I have never used protected batteries in my SVD , it was my understanding that they were incompatible with the protection circuitry in a regulated mod and I've read about similar problems with other mods using protected batteries , I hope that does solve your problem but if not get ya a new one .

I'm not certain it will make a difference but it is certainly worth trying. Never know what these Chinese are doing. I thought I was using my AW's in the SVD but rethought it and I'm not sure I did anymore. Will try it and see what happens.

The way I understand it the mod keeps tripping the circuitry on the battery forcing a shutdown due to no power being supplied , early on I read a thread about someone having this problem with their Vamo and it solved their problem this was before I bought my Vamo so I've neverr bought protected batteries , my buddy buys them and removes the protection circuitry from the battery but I'd just as soon not mess with them but it works for him my luck I'd turn a mod into a stick of dynamite .

Walked into a local vape store and walked out with a Kayfun lite clone:)

It did not come with the plastic clear tank part, only the stainless one so guessing when to fill will be an adventure but the price was right with the BF sale. Wrapped up a 28g 1.4 ohm micro on a 5/64" drill bit, added some cotton ball stuffing and filled with Shadowfax. Wow! The flavor really comes out in HUGE clouds:vapor:

I think I like 5/64 coils over 1/16. Easier to feed the wick.

I'm jealous , still waiting on my Kayfun clone from FT but tracking says in transit so it left HK , hope to have it in a few days .

David you're comparing a rebuilt Evod to a stock system , When I started vaping the Evod and Protank were pure frustration for me 3 out of 5 heads out of the box flooded with 100%vg and the rest giving dry hits , yeah now I got a box full of rewicked heads but part of me thinks that it was Kangers responsibility to put out a working product or call them RBA's because that's what it takes to get them to work properly , dang I guess I'm holding a grudge here but I definitely don't recommend Kanger products to noobs anymore .

I know what your saying. I didn't care for the Evod till I learned how to rebuild the head. The Aspire does work out of the box I'll give it that. I'd most likly recommend it over the Evod to someone new.

Got the KFLPlus rigged up with ¾ wrap twisted 0.10 wire and cotton wick, coming in at 1.3 - 1.5 ohm. Filled it with Crackberry it producing huge clouds of vapor and superb flavor. I also have it set up with all SS, so like Bappo it's gonna be fun guessing when it's time to fill. I can only think of one thumbs down with the KFLP, and that's the location of the air flow adjustment screw. Instead of being on the side like the KF 3.1 and KFMini, it's on the bottom opposite the fill hole. Which means you have to take the tank off the device if you wan to adjust the air flow.

I need to try other flavors in my KFL. The only thing I have vaped out of it is Dragon's Fire because that makes up half my vape time. I use Phoenix RBA's for most everything else.

So retic, I put the AW IMR in my SVD. Same problem. It still cuts off about every 8 - 10 firings. I'm gonna send it back at some point.
Definitely send it back and get you a new one , I was hoping for the easy fix but your luck runs the same as mine little to none .

David when I first started on ECF the first thread I started was about the Evod flooding , it resulted in other members ripping open their packs of replacement heads taking them apart and discovering missin wicks and flavor wicks in a large number of them and it rapidly degenerated into an argument about which heads were genuine kanger and which were fake so it also introduced me to some of the resident assclowns as well LOL . There was a learning curve that I wasn't expecting because egos and evods were the overwhelming suggested buys for the noob . Shows you how dumb I was expecting Chinese vape gear to actually work as advertised too .

I used the Aspire for 3 days this week. It's a pretty good vape. This is the ce5 ego style. It vapes well, TH and vapor are good. The flavor is great. I would recomend it. What I don't like is the fact it is 3/4 inch longer than my Evod. I did get some dry hits from it due the fact it can't keep up it you vape it too fast. And with duel coils it gets hot. I'll still use it but except for a little more flavor my Evod with a 5/6 wrap and 3.5mil wick does a little better. It can keep up with me. I'll still find a use for it, maybe here at home. The extra flavor is not enough to replace the Evod. Maybe a Kayfun mini can do that. If I deside to get one.:thumb:

David, something else to think about if you're contemplating buying a KFMini. Even in standard mode, they are quite long - about half an inch longer than Kanger T3S and about 1 inch longer than an Evod. Extended mode adds another inch to that with a 5 ml capacity.
On an eGo style battery we're talking Ollivanders Wand Shop - Diagon Alley long! My Vision Spinner 900 mAh Bat is 4 ¼ inches; with the KFM on top it's 7 ½ inches standard mode & 8 ½ inches extended.

However, the flavor and vapor production is on par with the KayFun Lite or Lite Plus. Another plus is that it holds about 3 ml in standard mode. Almost twice that of the Evod. I've been using the KFM just over two weeks and have NOT had a leak or a gurgle yet. Like Mac's, they just work!

Well dang it. I didn't know the KFM was that long. Guess I could get a few more 350s and use the Vamo in short mode. Oh well not ready to get one yet.

I did not realize the Vamo was that long either. I got a new vapor started off with it and Protank II's, and it's substantially longer than the Provari. She does not seem to mind though..

In standard mode it's not so bad. It's the coil/wick chamber that makes it longer than the T3. Extended mode is crazy long!
