I don't think my brain and fingers are in contact this morning, 13/64ths would be a little bit BIG..
I just went to the local hardware store and grabbed a 5/64th. I just grabbed some of that ekowool because its what comes with the KFC and the place I ordered from had it. So I figured I would just get a little bit of it (and wire) from there so I knew I had some to mess around with while waiting for other stuff to come.
Your build sounds nearly identical to the one I have been watching a few times on youtube and was going to try. Only thing they did different was they didnt use a drill bit, they just wrapped it around the silica/ekowool. I was curious if you could use the drill bit then slide it through as I think (from making bigger coils) that it was always easier to wrap around something hard than something limber.
If this all works out and I like the rebuildable stuff (everyone says there is no way I wont, but heard the same thing about the cartotank that I hate), I have plans to get a dripper or two. I have a bunch of juice that I like in very small doses and its kind of a hassle putting a little bit into a tank, then going through the cleaning process just to do it all again in a couple hours, or have clearo's filled for those random times.
Thanks for all the information, I am looking foreword to the first build.............Now all I need is FedEx to cooperate and deliver it!!!!

Yes, make your microcoil first. After you wrap it around the drill bit (it really doesn't matter what you use....the ID is the important dimension....some people use toothpicks or whatever they have laying around...5/64ths bit is easy cuz it is 2.0mm....some use 1/16th) then hook up your coil to your kayfun base (you can keep it on your drill bit while you do this and remove bit once you have it screwed down). Then you'll want to fire it up and get it glowing. Release the fire button and squeeze with tweezers (or similar). Repeat a few times so all the coils are next to each other and nice and pretty. Then you can pull the cotton or silica through the coil. Not sure about ekowool cuz I never used it. Dust has so maybe he can give you a pointer there. Too thick wick and the coil will pinch it off and it wont wick...you'll get dry hits (burnt).
I also have a bunch of RBA drippers for the reason you mention. They are very simple and easy to change out the wick or dry burn or whatever. I use Phoenix RBA's. Very simple devices. Easy to build. Great flavor, TH, and vapor. Holds 12 - 15 drops. Ask 100 people the best dripping RBA and you will get 100 different answers. This is what works for me for the juices I don't vape all day.
