I've had a skein of peaches and cream in my bag for a while... haven't boiled it yet to try it out. I guess I should, 90% of my rewick time is made up of actually getting the wick prepped. If the yarn worked just as well, it'd be even easier.

Other than the initial boiling, yarn is by far the easiest wicking medium I have worked with.. If that helps you any. :)

Edit: Clear tanks here too. I was thinking of getting red makrolon tanks to complete the Cylon look. ;)

I been running the stainless section for the last 3 tanks, just because I hate the looks of the plastic tank.

I fill it from the top, there is a change of taste when you get near the end. To me it seems like it is a lot stronger of a taste right before it goes dry.

PG is thinner and wicks up at a faster pace than the VG. I can't speak with any authority, but I'm thinking the flavors cling to the VG and that's why the flavor becomes more intense and the color gets darker at the end of the tank.

Question... anyone with a KF, KFL, Russian...do they use the plastic or metal tank section? I can't imagine using the SS tank section... you have no idea how much juice is in there! It'll run dry without you knowing and you have no idea how much you've filled it (unless you fill it from the top with the cap off.
I'm using the plastic tank for the same reasons the others are although I like the look of the steel tank more than the plastic .

Nice... rewicked kfc with cotton, loaded with Legend.... much better. Now it's rocking without the stank flavor. The silica just didn't work, didn't feed right and dried out too fast. All is right again. :) we'll see how long the cotton holds out.
The farthest I've gone is 2 tanks with the cotton but I could probably get a couple more out of it but rewicking with cotton is so cheap and easy so I don't wait for flavor or vapor production to drop off before I rewick keeps it tasting good .

I made the mistake of going to far with a tank of Legend about a week ago. I thought I could get another tank out of it, well wouldnt you know it didnt make it. When it decided to start really dropping vape and flavor I was away from home and had to stick out for about 4hrs on what tasted like watered down Legend!!

Considering how cheap cotton/yarn is, you can bet that wont happen again!!! 2 tanks and its out of there, I dont care what it looks like or how good its still tasting!!

Just to put things in perspective, I got home from work an hour ago. I finished my coffee around 20 minutes ago, and since then I've re-wicked all 3 KFL's and am now going to start on dinner prep for the little monster.

She wants Bacon and Eggs for dinner.. My kinda girl! :D

Oh.. for those of you wondering how strong the 28g microcoils are, I dropped one of the bases on the way back from rinsing them. It fell first on to my daughters step stool near the sink and then proceeded to bounce around on the tiled bathroom floor. All I had to do was raise it back up about 1.5mm from the base where it got pressed down, which I did by sliding the same drill-bit that I used to wrap the coil on. It did not deform.. ;)

    Back later..

Yup that's how I learned as well , the KFC is still a lot easier to deal with and way less headaches than a protank , but some people are hard to convince that an RBA is less work than most of the tank systems out there .

Which is why I have a spare syringe and yarn in my back pack. I don't carry any other tanks or protank heads anymore, so I keep the syringe and yarn instead. :)

I've got spare batteries and a 10ml bottle of juice in there as well.

I use 29gauge wire, and pretty much exclusively cotton now. (although bamboo threading adds a tiny earthy taste to NETs)
The EASIEST wicks- Cotton string. Buy it at WalMart for use in my vegetable garden. Mamaw also uses it for trellising her taller house plants. Cut a length equal to my index finger, then unravel three or four strands. Thread into coil, and done.

I've gotta pickup some yarn the next time I go to Walmart but I imagine butchers twine would probably work as well, it's all cotton and meant for use with food .

I can never find butcher's twine.
I've got a butchers supply store close to me but most supermarkets should have it , you can always ask the butchers for some as well , they'll usually give it to you but you'd definitely want to boil it to sterilize it , I've worked as a butcher when I needed a break from the kitchen and those bandsaws can scatter meat and bone fragments everywheres in the cutting room .
