I believe you just talked me into getting an AGA. Funny how stuff ripples. :)

Hey bronze i don't know if you are able to do coops, you may be able to jump in the AGA coop. Their are like 15 peeps that haven't paid. If not I think someone said they got one for 22 on Hoosier

Hey Smitty...funny you ask. I was just in my PayPal account to see if I could get verified. I set up a PayPal account years ago but have never used it. So I just went in a few minutes ago and updated some info and started the process of getting verified. They have an instant confirmation process that links my bank account but it wouldn't go through for some reason. So it defaults it to the 2 - 3 business day method. So I have to wait a few more days before I can get verified by PayPal. Then I can start the process of getting verified for the ECF classies. Until then, I can't get into them. Thanks for the tips. What kind of AGA's can I expect on the coops? Used, new, etc... How much? etc...

Crap I just realized something. The coop I am in is using pop money which is like PP in a way. I was able to register instantly on there and paid my bill for the AGA's. I just modified my first gen AGA to get the top cap air hole to line up with the wick hole. Now I can actually use the intended hole for the wick. Gonna pick up some 28g kanthal when I get the funds.

So this is my result of effing with this AGA all day. Def need to get me some 28g kanthal. But for right now 32g 400 SS mesh with a 1.7ohm coil. Not as low as I would like but it's working.

Took me an hour of farting around with it to get the wick and coil going on the AGA-T+. That wick hole is seriously small. I think I prefer my DID's to this, unless I can bore out the hole and make it larger. That top-coil, was really doing it's best to get under my skin.. Grrrr!!

You know dusty I was having a bad hot spot on the top. My dental pick saved the day. Now this is the first gen AGA so the wick hole is about an 1/8" it looks. But I rolled an initial piece of mesh at 45mmx45mm. No where near big enough. I have a straw basically. Not wicking nearly as good as I want. May try 40mmx60-65mm next go. Also might try a strand of this cotton yarn up the middle if I can't roll a solid one. I am Ooooh so happy with my mod of the aga today. Looks way better brushed and now the air hole lines up with wick hole. I want that A-HA moment. Getting there.

Something for me too look forward to. I might just get the 28ga and 400 mesh right from the beginning. I like the idea of everyone else taking the lead on these. I've done enough of that and want to avoid all the pitfalls this time. I deserve it. :)

I can be a lot better bronze with a little more practice. I may try and find someone in my area to help me with some pointers. Also if I can get to vapefest I may be able to pic up some pointers. Def get some 28g. And I am trying this with a very thick juice so it's not wicking fantastically. Pretty to look at tho. Lol it is super frustrating tho doing all that and it not getting the perfect performance.

What I know about getting verified from PayPal and ECF plus the time it takes to actually find something and get it in my hands, I'm probably a few weeks from getting an AGA anyway. By that time, you'll be a pro. There are others here who are using the AGA too.

Whoa. I went out to the work truck and let the aga sit for a bit, came in and took a hit and I gotta say I got much better vtf. All around. Crazy. But I still won't be happy till I get that 0.9ohm coil and don't have to tip my device. I want it to work as if I was using say a carto. Just vape and go. No really worries.

Unless you're using thick juice, use 500 mesh and roll it as solid as possible. Plus, lean the top of the wick toward the center post to minimize the distance of the top leg. That will solve top coil hot spot issues. The wick hole in the AGA-T is larger than the hole in the AGA-T2. I bore the AGA-T2 hole out to 7/64 and it works well. 1/8 would be good too, but if you do it by hand without a drill press, graduate sizes up from 7/64 or the bit will seize.

For the original aga-t I use a 1.5 inch x 4.25 inch piece of 500 mesh. Once you roll that tight enough to fit in the hole it should be a good wick. For the aga + I do a 1.5 x 3.75 inch piece of mesh.

Great info. I was gonna ask that exact question of someone that had the aga t first gen. 1.5 x 4.25 it is. And 400 is all I got for now. I will order 500 when I order my 28g kanthal. But I'm getting there. Part of my problem was I was rolling my coil way too tight. Need to find the happy medium.

Question about batteries. I have a couple of 18350's I use in a pair in my Varitube-3. I charged them yesterday. Went to put them in my mod today and got no juice. Put them back on the charger and the charger flashes from red to green to red to green....... They do this together or separately, in the charger. My other pairs of batteries seem fine. Any way to salvage the batteries or should I just dispose of them?

Here is my utopia:

• A 510 or ego threaded tank (preferably ego).
• No burnt wick taste when cranking up the wattage past 11.
• Replacement atomizers.
• Plays "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd when vaping.

3/4 is acceptable.

Any ideas, army?

Easy

Take a Nova or Stardust, wrap a 4 wrap 32g coil on SS mesh wick that is U-bent down and voila! 3 out of 4. easy to vape 11 watts and good.
