April, you can turn the light off on the power button on the Provari. The screen doesn't light up when you vape, if that is what concerns you. The fact that you can turn the light off is a plus for me for those times when I want to stealth vape.

The only time the LED screen lights up is when you go through the menu. Since you already know about the five click to turn on and off the Twist, learning the Provari menu is a breeze. Five 'clicks' and you then access the menu.

You really don't notice the screen until you use the menu.

And also April, you can pretty up your mini provari with a skin wrap. Scarfy just gave us a link...I'm not on my home computer so I don't have my faves. But it is called J-Wraps. Maybe Robin can get the link. There are all sorts of ways you can dress up your mini provari...all sorts of girly stuff too. A mini would be a good size for you because you don't vape much.

http://www.provape.com/ProVari-153-Mini-Variable-Voltage-E-cig-s/38.htm

They also have blems for $20 less. If this price is too steep, there are other mini mods you can get that are a lot more affordable. And J-Wraps sells girly skins for those too.

But then again, there is nothing wrong with your Twists. :)

You got all this good mods and you don't wanna have an rba dripper or something? Lol how you like your baby bullet

I like the BB just fine. The only negative is that it uses the 14500 battery, which doesn't last a long time. If I take the BB to work with me, I definitely have to take a spare battery (or two if I anticipate a late night).

I just don't want to futz around with RBA's. I have very little free time and a lot of things I want to do in that limited time. Jackassing around with RBAs is not one of them.

But that's just me.

Like there aren't better things to do than screw around with e-cig gadgets! :)

That'a what I thought at first too. The setups I have right now are just fine with minimal maintenance and up keep. However, in a year I get almost 3 months off - a long summer vacation, mid March to mid May and a short fall vacation in Oct. With that downtime embedded in the schedule it's easier to find some time to play hobbyist. (Perks of being a teacher) :toast:

Nothing delicate about delivering a baby! Starting the IV, yes...the baby coming out... Nothing delicate about that.

Back to the topic... IF I wanted a power source that has no LED display, would I be way out of comfort zone? User wise?

If you wanted to keep variable voltage, I would agree with Robin and the provari, as you can shut off the display. If you go with a manual mod like the Odyssey in my picture, all you do in pop in a battery, press the button and it works. However you're stuck with the straight voltage of the battery.

At full charge you may get 4.2 v and slowly it will drop to around 3.3 - 3.2 v before you have to recharge. Depending on the size of the battery the time to drain the battery from 4.2v to 3.2 will vary anywhere from 2-3 hours to 5-6 hours.
Hope that helps.

You are, I like the Poldiac, Caravela etc...

the twists will die one of these days...
The Caravela mods are sweet!!! :2cool: BTW they operate about the same as my Odyssey. The power button is on the bottom.

PS, probably best used with low resistance attys.

I haven't picked up a mechanical mod since I sold off my COV Edition SS-GGTS. I like VV/VW too much to go back to uncontrolled battery voltages. Even my Reo Grand has the Kick in it. I think the only truly mechanical mod that I own is the 18350 epipemod running a 1.8ohm coil in a Short DID.

haha jackassing. Yeah I gotta be in the mood to fiddle. and it's usually quick till I get frustrated with that. I have a very short attention span.

To tell you the truth, I haven't used my mechs much since I got the Vamo - I have a lot of Twists and a Spinner too that I usually go sporting outside with. I'm right on the fence with going RBA, well actually just hopped over the fence to RBAs when I ordered those AGA Ts. I think, I'd be just as happy going with another vamo or save up for a Provari. ;)

Thanks for all the feedback! I'll keep researching.... It's not so much the desire to branch into a new realm as it is the desire to have something so pretty :)

Even if the screen on the Provari is off, there's still a screen. I am also looking into the roller. I'll find my way!

Ms April. Here is that J-Wraps link. You might want to look it over. Lots of pretty stuff in there. Click on a product and then it gives you a list of mods they are cut for. So if you want any of their stuff, you'll have to stick with their product designs.

I really don't think you'll like those two mechanical mods. Just my opinion April. :)

Gee, I see one that looks like a dogwood flower that fits a Lavatube mini. I think the LT minis are pretty affordable.

Yes, that was X who provided the vid. Thanks again.

Also, the VAMO allows you to switch out of PWM mode and into RMS.

You're getting your acronyms confused. You can't switch out of PWM. The vamo always uses PWM no matter the setting. RMS (or V-RMS) is a mathematical equation that the Vamo uses to determine the current voltage or wattage. The two power calculations the Vamo does are V-AVG (setting N01 which is a dead average of the duty cycles, and has proven to be greatly inaccurate) and V-RMS (setting N02 which uses a variant of the "root mean square" of the same duty cycles and proves to be the correct and accurate way to determine voltage). PWM is pulse-width modulation, which is the just the way the Vamo fires; by modulating pulses of current.

Caravellas are more than sweet. Take a stroll through the classified section. All the traders are trading their iHybrids and GGs for 'Vellas and Chi Yous.
