April, you can turn the light off on the power button on the Provari. The screen doesn't light up when you vape, if that is what concerns you. The fact that you can turn the light off is a plus for me for those times when I want to stealth vape.
The only time the LED screen lights up is when you go through the menu. Since you already know about the five click to turn on and off the Twist, learning the Provari menu is a breeze. Five 'clicks' and you then access the menu.
You really don't notice the screen until you use the menu.

BTW they operate about the same as my Odyssey. The power button is on the bottom.
