Good info fellas. I know alcohol is the best method. I use Everclear myself. But for some people, they don't want alcohol in their house. So they need alternatives. I like Dust's method. As for boiling, I gotta say X, I just boiled that rba I was complaining about giving me the metallic taste. The boiling (for 20 minutes) knocked it right out. I used to boil attys with mixed results. But I asked again because I'm thinking of how to clean an hh357 hybrid. Those things are expensive (you're right X) so I don't want to kill them.
I answered you having the HH in mind. There are care instructions on the Avid website that specifically show how to clean the atty. The HH will last for a long time but you need to follow Hanna's recommendations on care. Along with written instructions, there's a new care video on the purchase page that Hanna made. Watch it. No boiling! No dry burning! There's attys and then there's attys. You can boil the cheap 510 drippers all day but you don't want to do that with this hybrid. The filler mesh will disintegrate.
Got a bottle of Ever Clear. I was gonna clean several Vision Nanos with it. Would it work on some cartomizers as well? Me figures probably.
As far as I know, yes. Most people like the warmer vape of the short attys or they wouldn't be dripping in the first place. For me, it was an issue of getting juice spit in my mouth with the short HH. The long barrel takes care of that. You can always get a super long drip tip but it kind of defeats the purpose imo.
To me the buzz pro is all I need. The analog adjuster is so natural rather than having to go into a menu. You just roll your thumb for more or less heat. I have all types of technical mods but the buzz is my main device especially when I want the mod to just shut up and work. It's made in the us, was the first vv, to my knowledge and they are made in small numbers. It also has the look of a nice tool. I like my mods to look nice but in a workhorse way not a fancy, don't get it scratched, sort of way. The company is great as well and know who I am. The mod is modular meaning I can replace any part myself, it is red, and engraved, haha. I used to be into exact wattage and such, but I just don't care or need that. I still have those types of mods for testing rebuilds and such. I also have a dual 18650 altoids tin made by Justin at vapeunited the tin is solely used for crazy power. I vape my 3ohm hh357 at 6.6 to 6.8 volts as Hannah suggests. I'm also still amazed at how well my ego c twist is working after all the charges and beatings it has taken. It is a clone and i dropped it in the toilet but it still Vape says with power. I rebuild my kangers and evods with ten wraps and no resist wire, vape the hh357, have a DRA XL on the way, and am ordering an amp tank whenever they re in stock. Seriously though, I've had my buzz pro for a while, and the infatuation of it hasn't worn off. It deserves another look considering the quality of it and the fact it is only 79 dollars now instead of 120. No bells and whistles, just a joy to use, simple functional, pretty. Sorry for the long post.
0.357, I like it, someone who knows where the name came from. I may sound stupid, maybe everyone knows, but I think it is clever naming.

Thanks, they are all hand made, but not my hands.
I don't have the proper tools to be doing much with wood or metal - just enough to tighten a loose nut once in a while.
Seven/11 here carries Absolute Vodka, it does a good job on my atty's, but it's only 80 proof.
I know the HH came from the initials of creator's first and last name; where the .357 came from beats me, maybe it just sounded cool.
The guy who designed and builds them is Hanna Hanawara. Seems like a decent guy.
They are great. They take some time getting a feel for how they should be used. They also take a little while to break in. At first, they don't produce much vapor or flavor, but after 30 minutes of initial use, they produce clouds. You take harder (shorter) hits with them in order to bring the stored juice up to the coil. They're not for long, slow pulls. Hanna made a new (long) video which contains all the critical information. Since a few of us are talking about it, here it is:
Talk about a warm vape. I got a double "highlander" coil working on the Terminator-C metering in at 0.8ohms. The only problem is that I set it up with grape flavored juice. Too hot for grape, I'm afraid. This deserves some tobacco flavor for sure.
