Oh no! I'm getting Mech mod fever, and it's setting in pretty bad. To the point where I am even looking at Poldiacs, Nemesis, iHybrids. But I'm trying to tell myself to stick to a budget on this one, esp since I haven't even bought a rba yet, but I'm about too!

I have defintely seen some interesting Mechs, but I'm defitnely remembering what X said earlier in this thread to me about "You get what you pay for" I'm defitnely doing my homework. I need to hit the lottery, I want them all! Every mod will be mine MMWWAAAHAAAHAAHAA

True story.

I am a strong believer in you get what you pay for. But I will say that I have been seeing some better mechs coming out of china lately. The EA clone I just got was on point. Now I don't own any high dollar mods except my provari and my reo. I would love to get something mech wise that was up there but it may be a while.

I'd shrine it.

Collecting mods doesn't afford such attachment, otherwise I'd wind up with 30 different mods. I don't want to be that guy. Four or five collectibles tops. Then, the least used one goes to make room for the next. I'm not into pinky buttons any more. It was a tough decision, but it had to be made.

Gonna be putting up my EA Mod up pretty soon. Absolutely pristine with a new extra button and both the stock and brass air flow control cap. She was my first mech and I babied her with the utmost loving care. It will be a sad day to see her go.

I need to hurry up and get verified so I can buy an "X" mod!!!!!!!!!!! Atleast I know what ever I buy has been babied, and I know the guy who knows all about it ;)

Alright, my first mech is on its way! X, I'm sure there will be many questions directed your way in here in the next week or so. ;)

I got an MKB-TS on the way with a shorty 510 extension and a 510-ego adapter that is supposedly going to let most things mount flush on the MKB, and I am looking into the stealth caps after smitighe's suggestions. I'm hoping to use the two AGAs and maybe some 510 atty's with it for now...oh, and the IGO-L.

Yeah, the MKB GGTS clone. It's made by the same company (Rainbow Heaven) who makes the Terminator/Nautilus (Odysseus clone). They're becoming known for making solid mid-priced devices. Those who have been using the MKB like it plenty. I don't know much else about it. Trick wrote up a good breakdown here.

Not sure actually. Not really looking for variable voltage/wattage. Will educate myself on those at some point, but my juices tastes just fine burning at the voltage they are now (3.7 i think). It's just the delivery systems that need to be changed. Been trying different types of clearos to settle on the one i like best.

I guess just some type of battery tube that has a constant voltage that won't burn up the juice/coil. something simple. There's a bunch of stuff on fasttech, and so far I'm actually happy with their knockoff stuff. The eGo battery is holding up, and I've been using a knock off eVod for almost 2 weeks with the same coil, just a quick rinse and dry burn. Just want to be fancy i guess =D

If you're enjoying the eGo and are satisfied with it, then the suggestion for you is plenty simple. Get an eGo Twist. You will be able to have any voltage between 3.2 and 4.8 volts in the same form factor you're used to. Just make sure you get a genuine JoyeTech eGo Twist and not a knock-off. The generic brand eGos are terrible. Even the Vision Spinners have their issues. The JoyeTechs are built with the best QC. I still use my Twist on stealth missions.

As for a reliable delivery device, people are really liking the Kanger Protank and the Kanger Evod. The Protank has a glass tank and a wider base than the eGo. The Evod is pretty much made for the eGo battery and looks seamless when used with it. You can find these devices everywhere including FastTech. Beware of imitations.

I agree with X, I have been using my old eGo c upgrade as a back up for awhile and recently gave both my ego c's to a friend and his wife to get them started on vaping. I am atually considering getting a twist and a spare protank to have as my back up / "pool" e-cig That way when I go to the pool I won't hav to worry about something happening to my Provari the whole friggin time I'm there.

If you like the EVOD you will love the protank, but on the ego twist it will look a little odd because it is much wider than the twist is.
Here is a picture of it:

One thing you could do to help the look of it is get a stainless steel battery so the colors match a bit better. A buddy of mine recently bought a Vision Spinner with a Protank and since the spinner is a little bit wider (not much though) than the eGo battery it seemed to flow a bit better.

ooh, that's pretty, can imagine it with a SS battery. What do you notice when you change voltages? I'm not really to educated with this stuff. Higher voltages vs lower voltages? There's way too many options. I mean don't get me wrong. I'm perfectly happy with an Ego battery and my Volt X2, but there's so much more shiny stuff out there....

VV (variable voltage) can change the entire playing field for you. Now before I start, one thing to know is the Twist is variable voltage but you only have about 4 or 5 settings so you can change it for some good results but you can't fine tune it like the VV devices that have a Display screen and allow you to go from 3.0 to 6.0 in .1 increments.

3 things that using VV does for me is allows me to tweek how much vapor can i can put out (in some cases I dont want to fill a room with steam, in other cases i do  ) It can help me tweek how hard of a throat hit I get (using different ratios of PG/VG in your e-liquid helps this as well) and the most important reason for me is all about the flavor. Some flavors (most flavors) change depending on the voltage you are using. Depending on your personal taste and the type of flavor you might prefer vaping a fruit flavor at a lower voltage, or a tobacco at a higher voltage. I love getting flavors that are a mix of cinnamin and a fruit and vaping it at higher voltage because it taste like a pie that came out of the oven, all nice a slightly warm...YUMMY, and now I take a pause so I can vape some Cinful apple.

Ok I'm back! So anyway Short version of all that is using VV allows you to fine tune the vape for your liking. The Twist is an excellent stepping stone for this it will let you go up to 4.8 volts. I personally went from using a Ego C upgrade that I kept on 4.2 volts to a Lavatube that went from 3.0 to 6.0 with a press of a button, and now I have gotten rid of everything else and primarily using a Provari with a protank.

As I mentioned earlier I have been thinking about getting a twist to use at the pool. If the ego is working great for you and the size is good, then you can either just keep using hat and try a protank on it, or if you do want another device check out the Twist. If you start thinking you might want something a bit more then that make sure to do your homework first. I enjoyed my Lavatube V2 but wished I had either spent a little extra cash to get something nicer, or a little less cash to get something that was equal to it. I actualy found a website last night that was selling eVic starter kits for $85, I also clicked buy LOL!!! but then I saw soemthing else that was shiny, got distracted and forgot about it till now....
