Several 901 attys in rotation for a few months...drip only never clean unless flooded ,
then I just blow them out into a napkin and reload, all attys working perfectly using
battery box mods @ 4.2 (3.7) volts.

I inhale as deep as possible, some hits are over 30 seconds.
I love my attys , I hate auto batteries.

Joye 510 since 4/05/2009
Atomizers from Diet Smokes and Electronicstix
Moderate usage, I don't vape at work. Evenings and weekends.
Using manual batteries
Atomizers are still going strong, no failures, same 3 I've been using since 4/05
juice -Menthol-Puresmoker, Liquid Express - cut 1/5 with VG
I take 2 hard draws in succession
Stop when I feel heat from the atomizer and allow it to cool.
It's a 510, frequent top offs, 2-4 drips in cart, 1 in the atomizer
I clean weekly-soak over night in isopropyl alcohol, rinse with water, dry for 24 hrs

Long slow drags
Stop when I feel heat from the atomizer, and allow it to cool.
Working on about 4wks on this atty
50% marboro ejuice from Ruyan - 30% VG - 10% Loranns flavoring
Drip about 4 drops straight onto atty when sensing decrease or vapor or burnt taste
Blow out atty once a day

how long folks have had them dosnt mean that much..

some folks just use the one at a time.. some rotate four or five of them..

some want peak performance all the time.. some can tolerate big drop offs without it mattering..

some use them five times more than others use them..

our take on them is simple... if you are a heavy user and want as new performance all the time you need to replace them after say 20 or so ml of liquid has gone thru them.. we say roughly every two weeks..

light users fair better.. users who dont need as new performance fair better..

we treat them as consumables just like the liquid and the carts.. but we do talk good performance not simply how long they last before failing totally..

You're one of the good ones. New users need to hear that all parts are consumables ... too many Utube videos out there that hype longevity and saying how many analogs you can compare to one new PV cart ... all setting people up for disappointment.

RN4081 and DSE801.
Atomizers from wherever I found the best price (and who have two attys in their starter kits instead of one) - 4 different U.S. hardware sellers so far, and 1st Eastmall order of back-ups for my back-ups is on the way.
Varied usage - light to can't-get-enough-straight-36mg.
All Auto batteries, and auto pass-through for penstyle is about 10% of use.
First PV ordered 5/22/09, and no dead attys so far except one RN4081 that arrived DOA, and was replaced by supplier. I tried all of the tips and tricks that I could find here, and couldn't get it going.
Juice - 5 different suppliers now and some DIY mixes, including some stupid ones that I mixed and vaped before reading up on which ingredients to avoid. Tried VG, and now strictly PG mixes ... using mostly doctored-up store-bought juice to date, but have ingredients on the way to make mumu's menthol recipe.
Usage varies from short/slow, to the can't-get-enough mentioned above (vaping until the light blinks on the battery). With a cold atty, I've gotten in the habit of taking a quick warm-up puff, and then a longer throat-hitting inhale.
Typically have 2 going, so when one gets warm, I set it aside and pick up the cooled one.
Same: "Refill cartridges when I see a decrease on vapor or sense a burnt taste". I've only dripped occasionally.
Cleaning: I've been blowing through the battery end into a tissue at the end of the day, and setting the atty up on end - cart side down. I blew canned air (one old can I'm saving to use with PVs that has no bitterant) into both ends of one that quit working, and it came back to life. Also, I've cleaned the screw-ends of all pieces with alcohol on a paper towel and cotton swabs, and wiped down the inside and outside of all of the attys about once/week ... only because I occasionally vape directly on the atty (no cart) when I'm going to change flavors, until there's almost no vapor coming out anymore. I haven't done any soaking with anything.

I can't be buggered to give it in list format.

However, I've got an atomizer that's almost over 2 months old. I vape HEAVILY. I'll take loooong drags. Over and over again. I use NOW Brand Vegetable Glycerin and cut the liquid I vape with 50/50. I got through 10ml a day EASY, if I am in a manic state and can't sleep, I'll go through almost 15ml a day. Once every few days, I'll run the atomizer out under hot tap water and blow it out a few times (rinse, blow, rinse, blow...), and give it a good soaking and agitation in a shot glass of Ethyl (not isopropyl) Alcohol for a few minutes, shake it and blow it out, then let it the alcohol evaporate for a few minutes. Then, I reprime with a few drops of liquid, puff, puff and it's performing almost as good as new. Takes about 20 puffs to get rid of that alcohol taste sometimes. However, since it's not isopropyl, I'm not too worried about it.

If after I clean my atomizer, and it doesn't vape, I just set it down for an hour and pick it back up, and it's usually good to go after being primed for that long.

I also don't clean and store my atomizers, I prime and "dry smoke" the atomizer after I clean them, until the vapor production is almost nil, and store the atomizers in a Ziplock bag, so that they don't dry out completely. Sort of like how atomizers come with liquid on them as "primer".

I haven't managed to kill an atomizer yet!

Do not take what I stated above as advice, it's just what I do! 8-o
