Sorry kiddo, but glad you found it. I'm having a rough time connecting to the net lately. I wish they'd nationalize it.

That plate should come out. Should... I haven't attempted to remove it. It may also be that the plate has just risen enough and may need to be screwed back down.One of my Knight V1s stopped being able to read resistance on any of my atties. Does the 510 pin get pushed down on it sometimes? There was also talk about cleaning under the 510 plate on the XVO. What about the Smoant?

The plate cleaning is a breeze, DH. The most dangerous part is if you lose the grub screw (which can be replaced with one of the screws from a KF4).One of my Knight V1s stopped being able to read resistance on any of my atties. Do you have any instructions for cleaning? Are there any wires to watch out for or anything?The plate cleaning is a breeze, DH. The most dangerous part is if you lose the grub screw (which can be replaced with one of the screws from a KF4).
EASY peasey, and thanks for the reminder that mine are due for a quick cleaning. [emoji4]

I knew I should have been paying attention earlier.

Kat did a small pictorial of it. No wires or anything to worry about.
Before you begin, take a good look at how the plate is sitting, in comparison to where the pin is. This will be helpful when you put the plate back on, as it will give you an idea of how low to screw it back in.
Simply remove the grub screw, being very careful with it, and have something with sides to put it in while you clean. I use the top of a tupperware container for mine.
Then just grab some alcohol (I prefer 99%), some Q-Tips, and have at it. Clean it all nicely, including the top and bottom of the now-removed plate.
Once it's good and dry, thread the plate back in, re-tighten the screw, and test it for firing.
Once you've done it once or twice, it becomes quite natural and fairly easy.
XvoStick users?
In other news, aint this thing just cute as a bug? Thats a full size KFL+ sitting in the Stealth....

Vapes like a lil champ too. Gonna do a battery life test at work tonight.
@DPLongo22
Ok. The biggest concern was wires. So, that's a relief.
@Katdarling
Here's a pic of all my Knights and my XVO clone for comparison. The plates look alike to me.
Where is your massively intriguing pictorial? Oh, nevermind. That's what DP's link was to. Very cool! Or should I say massively intriguing?

Seems they are the same, my little tango friend. You should be fine with the same instructions for either the S'mantz, or the Klownstick.
I'll go with massively intriguing, thankyouverymuch.
I was channeling @UncleMy first question, and one I cannot answer, is ..... are the plates identical (in terms of construction and placement) on both the XVO and the Smoant?
DPL's instructions (along with my massively intriguing pictorial) should (or, alla Hoefer, "SHOULD") get you going with the cleaning. Assuuuuuuuuuuming the plate on the Smoant is removable in the same way as the ChhhVo.
It really is fairly simple. Just do remember to work over a box top or lid or something, so as not to lose that teensy grub screw (or pop out your handy dandy KF parts kit, and use one of those screws, as DPL mentioned).
