It's got your name on it. Do it.

You nailed it. It's all about the chipset. At least for me now, I've got far too many impulse mod buys, with unknown chips that sit in their boxes as I was not impressed with their temp control abilities. In fact most of my Pico's and VTC's, are all shelved, once I got my first few DNA75's. And most of those do a decent job with TC. I've owned a DNA200 for quite some time, but I like the smaller size of the DNA75 mods. As a mostly TC user, it's hard to pickup all those other mods now. If you are a wattage/power user the difference is less apparent, and probably not a noticeable difference. Been waiting a month now for my preordered Vaporshark DNA75, I hope that's a winner as well!

Yeah. That's pretty much how I'm looking at everything now. Some of my well-liked mods are sitting idle for that very reason, so I'm not going to spend more on stuff that I'll eventually put aside because the vape is lacking.

I don't even use TC, Mac, and the difference in vape is ridiculously discernible. The chipset counts (for me, for you...).

I do kinda like the Weeble mod though (but ZERO chance I'll get one).

Sitting down, facing forward.
Mac, I'm a died in the wool DNA fan, too. 75s, 200s and even some 40s still in service. I have found two others that aren't bad at TC, not as good as Evolv, but acceptable. The Invader Mini is a nice small device that's water and shock resistant. The Movkin Disguiser is a brick, dual series 18650, but does TC pretty well (at least with Ti) and the battery life is quite good for me, anyway. It does weigh quite a bit though but with dual batteries what can you expect.

Interesting, since I seldom do non TC vaping, I have no idea how DNA mods stack up versus non DNA mods in wattage/power mode. I used to watch all of PBusardos reviews to see his scope results and see if the mods firing signals were flat DC, or PCM outputs. Now and then I put a DNA into power mode just to see how a SS build vapes. A few times I forgot, and while vaping on a RDA, I burnt the wick, doesn't happen in TC mode, so you have a nice safety net.

Interestingly enough, I watch none of that stuff. The only things I do are push the buttons and vape.

Oh yeah, and grunt. ;)

So, on the menu today? A large heaping of Crow. Much to my surprise my Smoant V2 from FT arrived today. Shipped the 18th, arrived the 27th...a marked improvement from orders past. I'll give a couple quick thoughts on the mod as I just started vaping with it. First, the weight. They came through in spades on my biggest issue with the V1.

Pass through vaping via micro usb that actually works (waves at Chels). The advertised enlarged display screen is enlarged, but not the actual information itself. Its a slightly different hue but that's it. Not a big issue to me cause I had no issues viewing the V1. The buttons retain the nice tactile feedback but require a wee bit less pressure applied on the V2. The finish has gone from a slippery gloss to a nice matte and I find it easier on the eyes as well a better grip. The only thing I do not like about the V2 thus far is something I knew I would dislike before it even arrived. The thrice blasted battery cover. I don't care how well constructed, a magnetic battery cover will never be as solid as I like it. That being said, it does not rattle or come off without a bit of a tug. It does; however, move around a tad if you apply any form of cross pressure. I will admit, I'm a bit OCD when it comes to that so YMMV. All in all, with the 60 minutes of testing so far I am very happy with it. With a price point of 40 bucks I class it as almost disposable and they will definitely be my new "at work" mod.

If something of note pops up while I'm giving it the "Vape Trials" I'll be sure to pass it along.

You've made it sound almost tempting, DashMan. Good review and yes, please enlighten us with any other vape notes as you vape the trail, ummm, trial.

Is it weird that I actually really like this?

WITCHER!? Weeble?

I happen to think this is kinda kute! I'd not call her a Seat belt tho...... more of hmmmm.......

Corset. Yes, a weebly corset.

(Rofvape? )

Oooh, I like! Although $37 is a lot for a glorified eGo battery/built-in battery. But, it's so cute!
Most eGo batteries, no matter how glorified, will not fire down as low or do TC on 3 wires :)

I'm with you, DH. It's definitely in my top five lookers of all time. LOVE the looks from the moment I first saw it.

Day 2 stress test for Knight V2. 4 foot drop onto pavement outside local pub. Battery cover a lil a-jar but snapped right back in to place. Fully functional but night still young....
