Has anyone here had there hands on the Smoant Knight V2 long enough now to give there impressions of it?

Also, does the finish on it hold up good? How is the overall quality?

I ordered the black colored version of the Knight V2 from GearBest back on 5 Nov, but have not received it here in Florida yet.

Thanks for any and all input ...
Have 2 in operation now (White & Black).
  • Knight V2 is over 100g lighter than Knight V1 - Utterly Huge improvement. V1 stayed at home, V2 goes everywhere with me.
  • Finish is same, very durable baked on paint over zinc mod as V1. My V1 dropped few times & no chips.
  • Construction is good & sturdy, but vast departure from Knight V1. Like joyetech built it.
    • 510 now is same style that Evic VTC/Rx200 uses rather than SS slotted 510 V1 used.
    • Battery door is sturdy and very convenient, but can have a slight movement toward base not a deal breaker but can annoy. Little duct tape on either side of magnet on door should sort it but haven't bothered or felt compelled.
    • V2 has a larger screen, but displays same size format as V1 - Disappointing.
  • Operation in TC is much better with more defined preheat spike and faster ramp.
  • SS TC behavior smoother IMO.
  • TCR mode was added in the Knight V2.
  • Does not have power mode preheat setting.
  • Knight v2 does not appear to be firmware update-able (which is just stupid) but the function may actually be there hidden and not mentioned in manual.
  • I swapped in Cubis w/ 0.25ohm Notch coils to replace the Talos as I had a couple laying around & they provide good performance vs power consumed for on the go. It fires an Aromamizer w/ dual 24ga 3mm Ti 8wrap coils with a slight ramp in TC but that means you better carry spare batteries when leaving the house.
  • Solid performance. Very pleased. Order 2 more from FT and got NIB 5 days ago. I paid a lot more & still think they were a bargain. Wish they came in more colors as I would order more. Look easily adaptable to use large screen DNA60.
The Knight V2 is a vast improvement over V1 in my opinion making it a perfect travel stealth mod. Highly recommend.

Tpat591 ... Thanks so much for the in-depth review.

I only vape in "VW power" mode, so the temp control really is not important to me.

As long as this Knight V2 performs as good as the eVic VTwo Mini I now use all the time, I will be happy ... The main reason I ordered this Knight V2 mod is because of it's side-by-side design. I really think I am going to like that.

I will be using a Kayfun Lite-Plus V2 atomizer with this mod (I am a mouth to lung vaper)

No problem at all pushing anything you can build in that old Kayfun. Very much operates like a non firmware update-able Evic but menus are a bit more rudimentary and limited but the Knight v2 gives you a TCR mode the V1 did not have.

You will like the Side by Side format. Very compact, portable, and stealthy. Firing button was an adjustment for me on the V1, but once you get used to the position, it is no problem & very comfortable.

(Nodding with agreement)

I don't know if this helps, @Flt Simulation , but my (significant) concerns with the button quickly disappeared when I found that picking it up with either hand resulted in my ring finger landed directly on the button, without fail.

GearBest is having a flash sale on the V2, $35.99 shipped to the U.S., the sale lasts another 8 hours.

I'd like to pick one up, I'm a little concerned about it making it out of customs, thoughts anyone.
Shouldn't be an issue. I had 4 of them got through without a hitch. Smoant Knight V2 was actually designed prior to 8/8 anyway, just delayed in part acquisition and manufacture. It was manufactured well before many other mods that meet the 8/8 requirements. Smoant just neglected to sell a sample prior to 8/8 to establish the paper trail & that is why US distributors won't carry it.

Thanks for the info guys, I'll likely hold off for bit and pick it up locally, as with all mods the price will eventually drop to what were seeing from companies like GB.

I expect there will a bit more drops, followed by a meteoric rise. Just a guess though (time will tell).

You were looking at Knight V2 right? US Distributors will not carry therefore it will not be available locally, only the Knight V1 will be. If you want it you have to go overseas & I would do it before customs decides to begin blocking imports.

One of my roomie's 40w teslas' 510 seems to be stripped/wobbled out after using the 70w's adapter. I am guessing it got dropped or tipped (given the missing paint chips on the other 40w she was using) to cause it since I moved both the tanks/adapters to the 70w teslas and they have no wobble in those so far.

I'll probably pass then, I've got more mods than I need anyway...thanks for the heads up.

At one time, I was going to buy a XvoStick clone (nice looking mod), but after reading all the negative reviews about it's bad chip, I decided against it. I read that the authentic XvoStick had none of the problems the clone had ... but the authentic was kinda pricey so I opted out.

I wonder if they ever fixed the faulty chip that were originally in all the XvoStick Chinese clones?

The "fam" not including the "emergency sbs" knight/lead v1, the "luxury" box, and the wayward schtick clone which still hasn't found its way back home.

I don't think they made more than a batch or two. To date, I've only known of one (Shawn's) that didn't have some issues. I don't believe they're for sale any longer (not certain though).

I've got a clone XvoStick and I've had no real issues using it in power or Ni200 TC modes. I've also had a Hana 40 clone with the same board, and, again no issues (the board did eventually die... Charging port issues). It's NOT a DNA 40... Not Evolv... But it ain't terrible...

The reviews on FT are mostly favorable, too... 3.5+ and up...

I'm not advocating for this device, but I do feel it got a baddish rap. I find it interesting that most negative reviews come from English writers, and although I cannot read them (and I'm too lazy this morning to run them through translate), the Russian reviewers seem to love 'em.
