It's nothing really, Shawn. Just me giving into temptation again.

I'll post a pic when...

Come on now...that is not fair!! I have the "buying" itch, and I know that we have similar tastes!! More importantly, I want to be one of the kool kids before it is kool just like you and Ms. Darling.

Unless of course you are going to give MiniCig a second chance, then...

Figures I'd hear this after I finally broke down and ordered a 40w & a 70w from vaporbeast on BF. Timing is everything I guess. Thanks for the info to keep an eye out for this type of thing.

Appreciated.

I have no doubt that some people have problems with them, someone always does, but if it is any consolation, I've used both my 40w and 70w continuously since they arrived and they have worked fine.

I prefer the 40w, it is small and the top button is easier for me to use because the entire device fits in my hand, but they are both being used, a lot.

Sigh. Okay, okay and yes the Dolphins STILL make me cry.

Guess I'll go back to the cheap dna40s that are available. Sigh.

Is it time to post my favorite t-shirt again?? Or too soon?

TOO SOON! We still have a shot. I had a bad feeling about yesterday going in (based on history), but don't discount the possibility of running the table from here. Far from an easy task, but it can be done.

I'll try to keep the faith. Feel kinda like one of the bobble bags, you knock me down and I pop back up.

I was going to mention the internal...

Congrats on the show!

Maybe I should try a "smart" watch. You think it might work?

Unfortunately they don' make you smarter, they just make you more accessible and you get to know things about yourself that you might not want to know (like how sedentary you are, how your heart rate is, etc.).

Received a White 40w & Blue 70w Tesla Stealths today from VaporBeast. Haven't opened the 40w yet. I ordered them without the tanks.

The 70w is a bit taller (1/2") & heavier than Knight V2. Tesla seems to fire slightly faster on a button press than the Knight on identical attys, but seems to have a much longer ramp up to temp in ss TC Mode at identical settings. This could because 70w-80w upper limits means the Knight has more power available, but I believe the Knight has a greater operational preheat punch in TC as well. The Tesla has a Mech, VW, Ni200, Ti & SS Operating Modes. The Knight V2 has VV, VW, Ni200, Ti, SS316, Ti, NC & 3 TCR Operating Modes.

The cage on the Tesla has the third cage ring so it will protect the atty better in a fall. The Atty well on the Tesla is deeper & will accommodate taller tanks more naturally. The top of a Cubis Tank barely peeks out over the cage.

The firing position hearkens back to my Kato Square Box Mod days so no big deal for me, but the height of the mod does make it a bit of a stretch for smaller hands in a thumb firing position. Find it a bit more comfortable with an index finger firing position. Price was right but I gotta give the edge to the Knight despite it being more expensive.

Mods are a bit dusty as I'm spackling in prep for painting in a rental.

"Uh-oh..."

Since it was specifically mentioned previously in this thread, my personal opinion of the Sun Box E8 Moonraker. The simplest way is to paste my response to the seller, when he asked me for my thoughts.

Please disregard this entire post if not of specific interest, as it's long and irrelevant for anyone not curious about this device. I'll also save any so inclined the trouble of pointing out that it's a very expensive device. Whether or not its worth the price is not mine to determine (other than for me).

It's a great device - that's about all I can say.

I included one pic with an Xvo since I expect that question may come up.

>

I'm very impressed with it, and like it a lot. One of my reasons for hesitancy (in buying it) was that I really didn't have a specific use for it.

That being said, the temptation of finally getting to see & feel a SunBox won out. I appreciate great workmanship and I have a few unique/boutique mods that are the standard bearers. Paolo's work definitely holds up there, which is exactly what I had hoped/expected.

For reference, in the SBS/O&A class, the XvoStick is what I consider to be the undisputed champion. I simply don't think a mod can be designed any better that one, and I knew it the minute I first held it. They come with a HUGE downside though, that being the company that produces them. Nice enough people, but...

Having followed SunBox for almost five years now, I know that they are a VERY different company to work with, which is why I always wanted to get one. My problem was that squonking and me, we didn't get along so well. I tried three times and just realized that I preferred tanks. Like everything vape, this too remains subjective, and likely always will. The funny thing is that I almost picked up a Sun a few times, JUST to see the work, even though I knew I'd never/rarely use it.

When the Moonraker dropped, it got my attention. I just couldn't justify the price though, even though I knew it would be well-made to almost perfection (which it is). Your number brought it into acceptable range though, so I bit (AFTER trying to get someone to swoop in and take it away).

Now, relating to the device itself >

The Moonraker is what the Railbox wanted to be. That was also a marvelous device but the size made it almost unusable. By bringing it down to almost Billet Box/Xvo proportions, Paolo solved that, and while it might not be quite as portable as those other two I mentioned, it's a very worthy competitor, especially for anyone who is brand-loyal to SunBox.

I love the fact that he added a locking nut to the elevator, and I also love the adjustable (not spring loaded) 510 connector. Xvo did the latter too, and I simply prefer the manual approach (I also drive a 6 speed car). It's much more reliable for the long run of the device.

The anodization work is superb, and I also love that he secured the battery in inside there, without using pressure to accomplish it. The battery cap is also a big win (great design and easy to use).

The weight is also very good, within spitting distance of the Xvo (loaded). VERY portable, especially during the winter months (with a jacket or coat). Not the BEST in a pair of jeans (due mainly to the sharper top , but still quite doable. It's coming out with me today in fact, for an appointment I have this morning.

All in all, I love it. I love holding it, using it, and certainly looking at it (it's beautiful!).
