I almost didn't buy the used XVO I have now because I knew the 60w was around the corner. SO GLAD I bought it. The 60w is nice but I like the 40w version better

I'm with you, @hobbes4. I DO like the new one, but not as much as the old ones. Definitely just a personal preference though, so... :)

In the last week, all FOUR of my side by side mods have bit the dust, and are in need of repair. The screen died on both of Xvos, as well as the ProXvo, and my union stick fire button has stopped working completely. Frankly, I'm tired of spending over 200$ on a mod that fails due to the board, or QC issues.

On to the question, has anyone tried the Aspire Plato with a nautlius coil? All of the reviews I find are for the sub-ohm coils, and I use my side by sides exclusively for nic-salt based MTL stealth setups. Any reviews, or experiences would be appreciated!

That's BIZARRE. All at the same time????

I haven't tried the Plato, but I think some others here may have. I thought it was OK (maybe a bit leaky?). One person HATED it, but I've seen others who like it.

All within the same week. It was the cherry on top of the crap sundae that was my week. Right now I'm using a mini-volt with a kabuki for my stealth setup.

But, if this is the worst thing I have to deal with this year, I consider myself extremely lucky. Glass half-full and all that!

Yes indeed, I will have to find someone state side to repair them. Last I looked the small screen dna 40 boards run about 60$, so 180 in boards alone, then the repair cost on top of that. The last time I had one repaired, it ran 55 with shipping.

The repairs will have to wait, the vape budget was slashed this month in preparation for a much needed three week vacation. :)

Just a thought, the DNA60 small screens should, eventually become available. They are basically an exact replacement for a DNA40 being designed for a single battery. In addition they have TC, Escribe and profile abilities. You may not need 60 watts and the bells and whistles now, but one never knows, do one? The cost should be in the same ballpark in terms of the board itself.

I have a Plato and use mostly Nautilus coils in it. It's....ok. I don't regret buying it, but tend to grab another device instead. It is useful for going out and I take it as a backup on road trips and the like. I haven't had any leaking issues, but I can see problems arising from the o-ring on the bottom of the tank, it's not easy to get back on if you decide to break down the tank to clean, etc. The vape from it is tolerable, it's very easy to fill, and has excellent juice capacity. I give it an overwhelming 'meh'.
