I must say that my experience with the Knight has been less than spectacular. It weighs a ton, and aside from that there have been several occasions where I press the button and....nothing. No power to the coil. Moved the very same tank to my Provari and it works every time. All things considered, I have to say that I am disappointed, and the Knight is being banished to the shoebox as an emergency mod. If I still had the box I'd sell it.

Still waiting on a decent SBS mod for under $100. Given the FDA shenanigans, I may never see one. The Plato works well, is cheap, and takes nautilus coils, but changing the coil is a pain if there is any eliquid in the tank.
sorry to hear your Knight V1 .But for sure i love solid device , hopefully yours is just an accident .Cuz ,i'm waiting my Knight mod desperately:thumbs:

So I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of the Knight V1 in TC Ti Mode with the Aromamizer. On two occasions however while usb charging I have taken a vape in "passthru mode" and had the unit continue to fire long after I released the fire button. On each occasion, the unit continued to fire for the full 10 second time limit before the screen went dark. After that it appeared to soft boot and worked properly thereafter. Anyone else seen this type of behavior? It is disconcerting.

I have call a "BS" alert and ask this question...How is "pass through mode" doing anything other than cutting charge current, to protect the charger, while vaping? There is no way in Hades that a USB wall wart, let alone a micro USB port, can supply anything close to enough current (probably well over 15 amps)!

Well you are right, but it allows you to vape while charging by doing as you describe unlike the Aspire Plato which is essentially a brick while it is charging.

I would assume, and we all know what that can do, that a well designed chipset would allow vaping "while charging" by protecting the charge source. Guess the Plato doesn't fall into that category.

I cannot say I've experienced this cause I'm not using mine in TC mode. Is this happening only in TC?

I was in TC Ti mode both times when it happened.

Today I was driving up highway after paying property taxes & shopping at Costco and my tank was really low after using it all day. Didn't realize how low and I got a wicked dry hit that scorched my wicks in TC Ti mode @ 480 deg F. Never should have happened in a reliable TC Scenario. Re filled atty when I got back to house and while working I will need to rewick. Build is stable on a DNA200.

Be careful in TC on this thing. Don't trust it will work properly.

I rarely use TC. {IMO} It's overrated.

-1 A lot of folks jumped on the idea if TC when the DNA 40 came out. It did not live up to its potential on most modern tanks, though. Newer boards, however, are changing this. I have some really nice setups... Crius on the iStick TC100W running SS430 with a TCR of .00138. Got some 316L SS in my Monster V3 on my Kanger Kbox 120 that I'm really liking, too.

+1 A DNA40 will perform IF it is coiled and wicked properly. The DNA200 will make up for any short comings in those departments. TC has increased my coil and wick life by a factor of three, very easily, while maintain a good, consistent vape.

That's the beauty of vaping as it has evolved (pardon the pun), we can all enjoy it the way we find best to our own, personal, tastes. That may change, though, if the FDA stuff stands.
