Here's a quick update to my review (if I should just edit my post further up, let me know. I don't want to be that guy that gums up the works.):

After roughly 15 hours I'm still really liking the Plato. I did have a leaking issue out of the air holes on the bottom when I filled the tank for the first time and the next refilling, but only because I used a juice bottle with a tip that completely covered the fill hole and didn't allow for any sort of air flow and just pushed the juice through the atty. I switched to a syringe and all is well.

I have only used the 1.8 Nautilus coil and will probably only be using that for the near future because I basically destroyed the Plato/Cleito coil by fiddling with it. I was inspecting the Plato coil because I just wanted to see if it actually is one piece (it is), but the pin on the bottom comes out really easily. I pulled the coil out of the bottom. I can see the more adventurous vaper easily rebuilding them. I put it all back together, but I think it's truly borked. I might give it a try later today, but if it doesn't work, I don't see myself buying any more of the Plato coils just to try out. At about $3.70 a pop, it's just not worth it to me and I'm happy with the Nautilus coils. I have subohm tanks and I really bought the Plato to be more economical with juice, so 1.8 ohms is a-ok with me.

The airflow is nice with the holes nearly closed or all the way open. I saw a couple of reviews that said the Nautilus coils are really restricted airflow-wise, but I haven't had any issue.

I'm not sure what else to say, so if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I'm not even remotely an accomplished reviewer, but I have been vaping for roughly six years so I have a bit of experience with the crap that we have seen as well as the awesomeness. In my opinion, the Plato is pretty darn good for a $50 device. I can see the novice and the 'pro' being happy with it. I plan on using it as my daily this week, so we'll see how it goes (I'll have my trusty BB as backup as per usual).

I've seen it cheaper than what I paid ($49.99), but I really wanted the blue one and the place I found it (VapeNW) was one of the only places I found it for under $60.

Sorry if this was full of words and empty of info, but again, feel free to ask any questions if you have them and I'll try to answer them!
There is a $9 nautilus style RBA that supposedly works with Plato but could also unscrew in the unit. VVTF NAUTILUS RBA DECK REBUILDABLE COIL HEAD KIT FOR NAUTILUS & MINI GB used to sell these for $6.40 but discontinued.

GREAT review, Scot! Great Scott! You really did give it a whirl and prolly answered most people's questions.

I like the little thing.... I do (@DPL).

Right now, in KD Land, I'm ALL ABOUT the BB4, so the PlayDoh is a sweet distraction, but I really haven't given it all that much thought. I know I'd be extremely unhappy if the coil got stuck inside.

One thing (ok, many things) I've learned on this vape road, is that I do NOT like frustrations with vape gear. Yes, we all go thru them, but for me, I'm at the point of just setting down the problem child and moving on to the fullest, tastiest, and most well functioning tank. So I'm leery of this one for some reason. Perhaps without reason.

I really enjoyed your experienced view!

Apologies neither accepted nor required, this is exactly what I was looking for. An accomplished BB user's comparative perspective. And you said enough to tell me that it's an adequate substitute, with an 18650 inside. Not a replacement, but a substitute. I'm sure it won't last as long, but at $50, who'd expect it to? Plus, I like the look (and I like the blue too).

Idunno, @Katdarling - are you sure this one's off your list of Maybe? I'm semi-inclined to try it, based on SS' descriptions. Let's tawk, ya? :)

Maybe watch a review or three?

Thanks, SS!

F5'ing next weekend? We sure will be...

It's not OFF the list at this point, HAL, but my mind is so focused on B Boxes that I can't really put it all into perspective..... yet. This might be a nice little fiddy dollah amusement. No, I'm not opposed to it, cuz I do kind of like it!

Todd's review is what sold me on it and VapeNW shipped it super fast.
The 'shell' is aluminum I think but the 'base' is plastic and it seems fairly brittle plastic, so I'm not sure how many drops it'll survive, but I think I'll definitely get my 50 bucks worth out of it.

I will be F5-ing next weekend, I NEED the BB4 in my life.

DON'T WE ALL!!!!!!!!! :D  :toast: :rickroll:

Crap.
I wanted to point out some things about the tank. I have the same reservations about the tank as Todd did. I haven't tried changing the coils yet, but Todd had an issue with the Nautilus coil being stuck in the bottom of the tank. I can see that being problematic. I really wish the tank came out as a whole unit, but you have to unscrew the top, which takes out the atty, then you slide out the glass. It would be sooo much easier if the tank came out as a single unit, then you unscrewed the atty from a base...

This isn't a deal breaker for me, I still really like the Plato, but it might give others pause...

<pause> ........

Loks like same people who cloned the XvoStick incorporating design elements of the Black Oak starting a new company to market it as an original mod. Nice looking unit!

So it may be the same chip? This would be disconcerting to me. I'm hoping it's not the case.

I don't think anyone knows where the chip is coming from, but this new brand has been trademarked by cloupor.

Welp, thought I'd take one for the team and register an account. I didn't get too terribly far in the process as they want a last four. Nuh uh. Sorry, RJR, but noooooooooo.

Too bad. I so wanted to proceed with my registration...
Last time I bought RYO tobacco online, they asked for last 4 and that's due to the database the software cks for age. I think I also had to provide DL or state ID number too. We might have to get used to this if they are successful in passing age laws? Companies like RJR tend to have the inside track on what the FDA wants. Just another thought. I have no idea really.

Well, here's a side by side that's out of the box thinking.

As much as I LOVE the concept (and the price). The Disguiser is HUGE. It makes the Reauleauxs look svelte...

Me as well, alden. I'm not quite sure how you'd disguise that thang.

Oh welp, if I got one, I'd name it Tilly.
