You guys might consider holding out for the Knight V2, considering how quickly most manufacturers update these products I'd be willing to bet the V2 is right around the corner…so when the V2 appears then decide on the new one, if you don't like it you'll likely be able to pickup a V1 even cheaper.

I thought about that.... but jeez error free great style and oh only 38 bucks. I have 2 don't need another...except maybe for safe keeping due to..... fda.

I am a nobody (no pull with smoant) but I do know they read these forums. What would people want in a knight v2?

Before Aug 8th?

Over at FT there was a post about the Wraith sqonker? I think that's the name. I honestly do not go looking for new stuff, it just jumps in front of my eyes. Not my fault I can't afford new stuff right now which is why the new stuff is hunting me down.

Fine. I'll do it myself.

Got my Knight V1 today, heaviest mod I've ever held. This will stay at home, feels like lifting a brick. I don't subscribe to the general perception that "heavy = quality". But I knew going in thanks to reviews, but more importantly the real user reviews from this thread, that it's an inexpensive style version of the original, that costs over $220. Also on my first coil test, hear and feel a lot of PULSING with the output signal, I don't think this chip is quite in the league of even VTC Mini/Pico mods, let alone my DNA200. Most likely will become a backup mod, but I always wanted to try this type of side X side, but was put off by the price of the custom originals with the even more expensive DNA40 option, which is somewhat outdated, though that chipset may be a smother output signal, never owned one.

QUICK QUESTION:

Is there anyway to flip the display?

Don't see it in the skimpy manual, tried various button combinations, no go.

I have 2 works on both of them... I said the same thing a long time ago when I was holding power and down button... power + up works for both of mine

Bummer for me ......
Holding FIRE & UP BUTTON, on mine simply keeps switching between Set Temp & Joules.

I'll try a battery removal reboot.

Maybe you need to be in watts mode?

Not maybe. Just tried it before coming back, that's the TICKET. I usually use TC mode, and you'll see what I saw if you try it in that mode, ODD programming.

I don't use tc mode anymore ( I think it's overated) but I remember reading a while back you might need to increase your temp a little for it to work right

Also missing from that small instruction sheet... up and down buttons pressed together lock them

Changing the screen orientation should NOT be dependent on what mode you are in, so that's just bad board programming.

Yeah, so far TC is not great on this board. As you mentioned, temp seems low in SS mode, compared to all my major brand mods, which would mean inaccurate TCR settings. That can be dealt with, BUT, at the many temp and joule/wattage settings I've tried, I get instant "Dry Coil" warning, now that is never a concern on my other mods, though they use the term "temp limited", because that means it's working right, and limiting to the set temp. But on this mod, I get some decent vapor in the first few seconds, then the mod clamps down as if throttling down, or almost completely turning power way LOW. This on a 5-6 second draw.

Maybe this board does not work well with the low TCR SS coils. I'll reserve judgement till I get my titanium builds in.

Did you do it while the device was off?

Unlike some of my other mods, NOTHING happens with this mod in the off position, from what I've seen so far. I don't even know a way to check the firmware version, though since I don't believe its firmware can be upgraded, it wouldn't matter. For $40 it meets my expectations.
