I wished more people had experienced vapors around so they could learn about vari volt, different ohm carts, different aty, tank cart combos and good juice. In this business there's too many wolves in sheeps clothing waiting to get your money. There are fine products out there that are way more satisfying that real cigs though, just have to find/try and buy them for youselfs, thats the part that sux.

Unless you use this forum, which I believe the entire purpose thereof is to address the very concern you are issuing.

This thread has shown what a value ECF can be. There's a lot of great info here, but you have to look for it. So many of the OP's questions could have been answered by using the search function and taking some time to read. I thought about this thread when I was at The Vapor Spot, a retail store/vapor bar in Los Angeles. The store lets you sample juices and try different gear. There's a ton to be said about being to try and taste things yourself before you buy.

Not trying to go :offtopic:, but what are the 'most efficient' atties to drip with?

That is almost as subjective as juice flavors, and probably why we have seen so many new RBA's come out this year.
The top three in my book are the HH-357 from Avid, io6 from ikenvap, and the lowley 510-T (with the wick plate removed)

I didn't read all of the posts here, Apathetic, but I would start by saying you shouldn't be going to that awful shop for advice.

    ROFL
"That awful shop" in this case is one of the best vendors we have. (and is a listeded vendor here on ECF)
Most of the time I would be in total agrement with you, just not this time.
(except for when you tried to get on their web site to buy a ZEN last night) (it couldn't handle 1,300 inquiries at once)

DO NOT GIVE UP. I may sound redundant but….
Yes, at first it can be a little pricy to get started for the hardware, but should not be more than $60-$70 for batteries, chargers cartos etc, and yes there is a learning curve, but it is typically a self induced curve because many people like many different things that all act different, and because the manufacturers are constantly pushing out new gadgets for us to rap our heads around.

This is what I did and suggest you do also, for now think kiss and keep it simple.
Get your everyday setup working to satisfy your need and then try new stuff as you understand e-cigs more.
So…use a good quality 900-1100 mAh ego battery, 3.7v is fine, (4.5 also ok) and a good quality 1.7ohm single coil cartomizer. This is a goods standard setup and will get the job done. Use a good (USA) VG base liquid, keep the carto moist and you should be set.

Bottom line, e-cigs do work and tobacco cigarettes are not the way to go for all the obvious reasons. Apples to apples, cost to use electrics (monthly liquid and a few replacement cartos) is much less cost than tobacco cigarettes.

There are good and bad quality products available. Some of the good manufacturers are Smoktech.com found on many websites with good batteries and cartos, genesiselectrics.com with great liquids and they give away free batteries, cartos etc with liquid, madvapes.com good pricing etc.

I typically use the setup above, a standard 1100 eGo battery and a carto with genesis liquids and am always satisfied and I was a 2 pack a day smoker.

Anyway. Hope this helps! Keep on keeping on and don’t go back to tobacco cigarettes. Contact me with any questions.

Only the most 'evolved' of vapers will mess with RBA's (Rebuildable Atomizer systems for those of you who don't know). This is definitely not something all vapers can do and it can even be quite risky. As for the Hybrid 510 atomizes you mentioned, those would still not be satisfactory for me because of both their cost and the fact that I found something that produces better flavor, vapor and throat hit than dripping on ANY 510 atomizer, Hybrid or lowly with wick plate removed. Next to what I've found ALL 510 atties produce flavorless vapor. I pay a LOT of money for the best USA produced juices and I want to 'taste' them.

I mean, seriously tj99959.... VERY FEW people want to learn all of this stuff, fuss with all this stuff and/or read all of this stuff!

The OP of this thread is 'literally about to give up' vaping because of all the 'complicated insanity' of vaping and because the current system or systems he's using are failing him.... I doubt if pulling the wick plate off a lowly 510 atty so that he has to carry a bottle of juice to 'drip' every few minutes constantly all day is going to cut it... or purchasing insanely priced 510 hybrids is going to help much... even if he were so inclined to do it... just sayin' :D

The thing is that he's local, and I know personally the folks he is dealing with. So all the professional help he could ever want is right at his door step.

Glad you found what you like. Now if you go back and reread my OP about dripping, you might notice that I said that I would not suggest learning to drip when a person is already frustrated. I was simply pointing out that there are an abundance of different ways to vape, dripping being one of them. (and happens to be the way I vape most of the time) I simply went a little farther with dripping because he asked, and you asked.

I'm sorry, I missed the part in the thread where he asked  my bad... sorry

510 atties just don't cut it with me however.... no matter how you slice 'em... or rebuild 'em...
I really tired of all the 'mess' with dripping.

It's too bad I can't hook everyone up with 'what I found that I like'... because if I could, I would... and while there are no perfect eCigs (yet) and chances are there never will be... it's the closest I've come to finding one... and I've spent thousands to get here, so I really do empathize with those still struggling.

I've enjoyed all the 'playing around' with all of the various 'systems' but after awhile, it gets 'old' and expensive & sometimes it's just nice to grab your eCig n' go...

Thanks for addressing my question :thumb:

    No problem.
In reality I'm an advocate of the idea that one way to vape isn't better or worse than another, it's just different, and there is nothing wrong with enjoying them all.

I feel your pain, I dove in both feet first going from horrid mistics, to super ego vv's and joye ego twists and I'm still ready to get more. I heard the Varicool Smoketek Mod box is nice, a friend of mine has one and loves it, that's my next purchase. Tanks are probably the most frustrating part, figuring out how to clean them and keeping the flavor, I picked up a ViVi Nova Mini and hated it, but there's alternatives. I have to say if you pick up a joye ego twist 1100 mah, with a CE4 tank, and pour in some Halo Tribeca, you will be more than happy. Then from there on out you can just buy atty heads and vape all day. I have tried a lot of flavors and I say Halo seems to be my favorite espically the Tribeca, Turkish Tobacco is nice too. Hang in there and you will find your vaping Zen, I know it's a pain sometimes, but you'll get there, this forum has given me the info to get going, and finding a good vape shop helps, where they talk with you and make you feel welcome, Good Luck.

Oh crap, I messed up and replied to the wrong quoted poster which I removed.

This was originally a question for blondeambition3, but I think I found it on the previous page. Very observant, I know:facepalm:

What are the systems? cause Im still trying to find a balance between the flavor of dripping, the ease of a carto without the pollyfill ruining the experience, and less problems with leaking not wicking ect.
I dont keep up and havent tried most of whats out available now. Man, I feel for new vapers, even in 2010 when I joined there was no talk (that I remember) in the new member forum about all the MANY things that are available now . It was simple, you get a cig like 510 kit and you drip...until your 180mah battery dies in a half an hour lol. Then all of a sudden the E-CIG WORLD WAS FLOODED WITH ....STUFF AND MY BRAIN HIT THE FLOOR.

Edit yet again: And so I continued reading... And Oh My Friggin God! I didnt find it, I found someone elses system that blondeambition3 quoted as being too much for a new vaper. I think I have to call my neurologist lol!

blondeambition3 if you read this monstosity of a post can you tell me what your system is?

I feel your pain Zelphie and that's WHY I'm going to 'simplify' all this eCig insanity with some YouTube Vids soon.

Basically there are only TWO eCig 'systems' when you break the whole industry down in a nutshell... They work like this; You pop an atty or Cartomizer on & they work reliably and deliver consistently & you go on about your day... ideally, that's what we're seeking right?

These 'systems' are '808' systems and '510' systems. It's that simple. Now I know there are HUNDREDS of what appear to be "OTHER" eCig systems out there (eCig #401, 402, 403, RN 4081, DSE 901, 801D-1... this goes on forever it seems... lol) but they really don't matter where it matters most.... because! They're still SMALLER or larger VARIATIONS of the TWO main 'sytems'.... 510 or 808.... (Be they super mini or super maxed variations of the two major vaping technologies out there, which again is, 808 & 510).... and that's why I'm trying to simplify what appears to be an extremely complicated matter, but isn't in actuality. They're all just 'batteries' (the bigger, the better... for real )... and atomizer/cartomizer/tanks. Add Juice & go, right?

Forget about all the other 'complicated' things like Ohms and stuff like that.... we're still breakin' it down to 2 systems, without the HUNDREDS of variations & other things that complicate & confuse... OK? (Whew!) :-x

Cartomizers USED to be nasty because of the fillers.... I've found 'certain' vendors carry Cartomizer/808 'systems' that deliver the SAME satisfaction, vapor & flavor as dripping. For real! I KNOW, this wasn't the case in the beginning but it is the case now... and it isn't my 'subjective' experience.. it's a fact. Now, the Juices are what make the vaping experience 'different' for people... I don't care WHAT system you vape... you WILL have to "go it alone" finding the 'right' Juice for you.

So here's the gist that burst my eCig bubble when I realized it in a nutshell... (and after spending THOUSANDS and experimenting with everything before I realized how to simplify it all)

Even if you LOVE 510 systems (and I used to), just hear me out.

Simply put, EVERYONE wants an eCig that they can pop a Cartomizer or clear Tank on and go all day (or more!) without worrying about carrying around tons of juices and extra atties, batts, what have you ... So, if that's REALLY what you want and you're not so entangled in eCig Gobbledeeygook that you can open your mind to receive this, then MOST PEOPLE would get an 808 system or an 808 system on steroids... namely the GO-go... lol The GO-go vaping experience (using the new GO-Tank system) is EXACTLY like dripping on a 510 atty... without the HASSLE & mess & inconvenience of dripping on a 510 atty. The GO-Cartomizers are almost as good, the only difference is the 'drag' is a little airier... that small 'difference' has been 'fixed' with the new whistle tips you can get.

I believe the VENDOR makes all the difference with these TWO simple systems.... I found mine, but you may prefer another.

A lot of you will think I oversimplified this delicate subject ... and you're entitled to that.... but at the end of the day, most of you know in your heart of hearts that I'm right.... ;)

Best of luck & happy vaping Zelphie! :smokie:

    Oh! I just noticed you wanted to know 'my' exact system... here's the link to it below;

GO-GO KIT - If you do decide you want to try it, then specify the Premium GO-Tanks (which are better than the Cartos) during check out.

This is basically an 808 system on Steroids!
If that's too big a battery for you, then order the "Elite" 808 ;)

Actually , I still disagree there... because there is only ONE 'ideal' way to vape and we're all seeking it  (except me) ;) .. and that's the problem most people have... finding that one EASY simple way... but! having said that; I do agree with you that if people like to enjoy many or all of the 'different ways to vape', that's cool also... because that's exactly what I did and how I learned.

What makes the Go-Go system different from other 808 systems? The Go-Go Tank looks a lot like the X2 Clearomizer from Smokeless Image. I didn't care for that because it leaked a lot.
