TVC has a review of it here:

I like the way that one looks. Not too shabby.

The Alesia is one good looking mod but I dont like how the button sticks out and that you have to turn it, I have to keep my mods in my back pocket at work and would more than likely break it. Will be watching for more reviews after its been out awhile.

I don't like the enclosed battery.

Follow up on this. I received one today from Kidney Puncher. Price will likely come down as someone mentioned.

Next to Defender and Eleaf 30W, all with Aerotank Emow Mega toppers.

As I've said before, I prefer the Defender feel in hand and the style as well. I wanted something smaller than the VS rDNA40 that took replaceable batts (for worse case scenario :) and for general use. I still may buy a Cloupor mini (or something similarly small) for that as well.

The Invader mini has some heft (but not like the MVP 2) and with the skin it could take a fall - although I haven't done that.... yet :) I'm guessing if you did drop it, the clearo would be the problem not the mod...and it's taller than the others but the grip is similar as far as width goes - a tad thicker in feel. The 'transformer skin' is different :) but not a problem for me. It took a few vapes to find out where the button was, but muscle memory has kicked in already. And the fire button is next to the screen, not the nubbin above which is just deco. :) So a similar placement as the Defender and istick. Nice feel, good response, no rattle.

I tested the 'sleep mode' mentioned. It goes to sleep after around 4 min. 15 seconds. 5 clicks to wake. Again, for me, not a big problem. As I was testing I was taking hits off the defender and istick waiting for the intervals, so if I were just vaping the Invader mini only, I mostly wouldn't hit the sleep mode :) If you put it in your pocket or leave in the car, it will turn off by itself, however, I usually put the others to sleep in those instances anyway.

It vapes fine (only vaped it for a few hours though) and without looking it up (RMS v Mean) it vapes the same as the Defender and the istick 30W at the same settings. (vs. the istick 20W) Hardware is solid - much like the Defender, good threads. I also got two Samsung INR18650-25R 2500mAh, recommended by the vendor (and others here for other mods - thanks). No usb but if there were, I wouldn't use it anyway with replaceables.

I have yet to try the Temp Control feature. When I put a Lemo (recent purchase for me) on, it sensed the different coil and 'asked' like the VS rDNA40 does - new coil? And then again when I put the Aerotank back on.

So far so good and again, it was more of a 'prepper' buy for me with a replaceable batt. The Defender and the istick will likely see more play time.... we'll see :)

Just wanted to chime in.
I've been playing around with IVP and Cloupor Mini's since their release. I also have several other regulated and Mechanical Mods.

(2)IVP mini 30w, Accurate within .1(likely .05) With auto Mode switching from PWM to DC-DC they are a very handy Mod. Comfortable to use and well constructed. No Hot glued parts inside!!! Everything is pinned/locked in place by the case. Easy to open if needed for any type of servicing.(like cleaning the top battery pin) Comfortable in hand. No issues to Date on either unit.

(1)IPV mono 70w mostly as above. Accurate readings and definitely powerful. Only took it to 70w a couple of times with the Dark Horse RDA. OMG to much for my old lungs. Paint on these is poorly applied and peels off early on. Wrap works wonders.
Excellent Mid power Mod for the price.

(2) Cloupor mini's. #1 - 0002xx Batch #2(the questionable batch) and the other is 0006xx from Batch #6 a few weeks newer. Both have been in daily rotation since receipt and have been my main mods for the past month. I wanted to wring them out and see how they would hold up.
At a limited 30 watts, you wouldn't win any competitions, but these Mini's are the perfect choice to mate with a Magma RDA.
Running .5-.8ohm Dual coils delivers an excellent vape.
Battery swaps are a breeze.
While the Cloupor mini does not Buck power it seems to deliver stronger at the max 30w than the IPV mini's.

For those with concerns - the Cloupor mini seems to be back on track and working as intended. All units are now packaged with the Warranty I.D.(batch/serial) card between the shrink and box in plain view, for reference.

Vape safe and enjoy!

Hcigar has a new mini coming out. - HCigar Box HB-Mini Regulated Variable Wattage 7-30 Watt, Black / Gun Metal Grey

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Looks interesting if a bit pricey. Since HCigar is making a DNA40 mod, I was hoping the mini might be the DNA25. It would be perfect for my RTAs.

Ahgreed, alden. 25w and 25 bucks. They just might get me interested. It's a cute little mod, but what's with the corn maze on it?

A bit similar to the 'Stick, wouldn't you say? I sure like the fact that both of these have non-fixed batts. I like the direction, China. Keep going!

And thank you both. Looks like I've got some spreadsheet in my near future. :D

Great reviews, Kent and crxess! Thank you!

Kent, I still really like the looks of the Defender......

This is one of the pet peeves I have with current YouTube reviewers at the moment. A bunch of them have reviewed the product, but not a one of them has tested it for what it's marketed as...Durability and ruggedness. What I really want to know is how durable the 510 connector is when you drop it with an atty or tank attached. But I do completely understand when reviewers don't want to sacrifice their own equipment for this test :)

Time to offer my amended review of the Smowell DPV-50 (a.k.a, "Welly" or "Smelly," depending on where one stands).

I've been using my blue Welly as part of my bedroom nightstand arsenal for some time now. Most of my favorite higher-wattage regulated boxes sit on my desk where I work (and chain-vape) all day---Cloupor Minis, iStick 50, Kanger KBOXs, iPV Mini and Mini 2s, loaded up with my chosen tanks, RTAs, and RDAs---so my bedside nightstand gets a somewhat more second-tier selection---iStick 20s and 30s mainly---which I vape before going to sleep.

Of those, the Welly has become my go-to box. With a drilled-out Kayfun (for better air flow) filled with my DIY version of GoodLifeVapor Deadly Sin, I find myself reaching for the Welly more often than my iSticks with their Erlkonigins, Nautilus, and GS-Air tanks. I like the Welly's shape and feel in my hand. I've grown quite fond of the deep blue color of the case, the finish of which is just crinkly enough to be non-slippery. Though less heavy than some of my other mods, the Welly feels no more "crushable" than my iSticks, in part perhaps because I USB-charge it and never take it apart to remove the 18650. Battery life has proven to be exactly as one would expect for a single 18650 IMR used at 20 watts. Since it gets only night-time duty, a recharge every 3-4 days is standard.

Performance has been quite good---flawless, really. No firing delay, with full, instant, and apparently accurate power (identical to my iStick 50 at the same power), and no misfires ever (something I can't say about my iStick 20s and 30s, which suffer the occasional mystery misfire). I don't run extremely low sub-ohm builds, so I can't say whether the Welly auto-reduces the power for a 0.2 ohm coil. For the moderate resistances (0.5-0.9 ohms) and wattages (generally no more than 40W, and mostly less than that) I use, the Welly performs perfectly. To be fair, I wouldn't run a cloud-chasing tank like an Arctic or Herakles with 0.2 ohm heads on the Welly, but I don't own either of those tanks, and I'm a flavor-chaser anyway, so it's a moot point. (I imagine that vapers who buy those very low sub-ohm tanks probably own 100-150 watt boxes, to get the max out of their fog-machine capabilities.)

All in all, the Smowell DPV-50 has won me over, and I now regard the $26-shipped I paid as money well spent. No, I wouldn't ante up $60 for it---unlike the Sigelei 100W Plus I recently ordered from Gearbest for that sale price---but, in my opinion, the Welly is a decent buy as a bargain box, especially given the additional 20 watts of headroom it provides over a 30-watt mod. The extra power comes in very handy for something like an Atlantis tank or many RDAs.
