Just got my fancy drip tip from Signature Tips, doesn't it look nice? I can finally wack the wattage up to over 100w without burning my lips. Yay

Looks awesome just like the pics on their website. I really want to see what the black delrin version looks like since that is what I would get if those (or something similar) were ever available in the states.

Anyway how do you get it to wick with your cotton so thick and low in your tank?

I've only built this thing with the wicks cut flush to the top of the glass or even shorter and thinned out very much as this is how most videos recommend. Even then I get dry hits without turning the thing upside down every other vape.

The greatest success I've had is with my current build which is my first fused clapton spaced build in it. Wicks are cut short to top of glass and thinned but I figure the spaced nature of the coils allow better wicking. Wicking and the ugly raised part of the top cap are my only gripes about this atomizer.

i cut my wicks short and have yet to get a dry hit. i don't even really tilt mine until it's getting low on juice. just my natural vape motion seems to be enough to keep them saturated. after i put the deck barrel thing on that goes over the cotton, i always poke the wick with my tweezers to make sure there is a little air hole between the wick and the deck.

my build is slightly smaller than yours tho. i use regular claptons. i still don't think wicking length is going to prevent dry hits IMO.

Received mine ,.. Will build soon

Dual fused Clapton 8 wraps, with the wick going down touching the bottom is the way to go for this machine ?

i'm sure it will work. but wicking down to the bottom of tank is not necessary. the less wicking material you have in the tank, the more juice your tank can hold.

So far I haven't done it all the way to the bottom but at where the glass tank starts. Cutting it shorter would become problematic if I don't tilt the tank enough ( I guess )

Somehow it does seem to leak a tiny little bit. Wonder how to make it fully leak proof so I can start taking it outside as well

i take mine out and about, i just close off the air flow completely. i left my limitless outside on the table because i switched attys and my fiance grabbed it and set it on the microwave upside down. i didn't find it for an hour or two after she moved it. not a single drop was left on my microwave. :)

another time i did knock it on its side for about 15 minutes and there were a few drops that did leak out of the air hole. much of it is going to depend on your wicking.

I stop it from leaking by building big coils (3mm diameter minimum), pulling them full of rayon, and bringing the full volume of rayon through the deck, thinning the tails below deck level. I have never got a drop from it. Full diameter:

Ok, so I caved in. I want to try the short-wick idea, and today was a good day as my Limitless came down with a seriously bad case of nappy-wick, so it was time.

The build is dual 26/32 Claptons for .5Ω. Full volume wicks:

Trimmed to just below deck level, the tails not thinned:

Juiced and tucked:

Not a scrap of wick showing in the glass. We'll see how we get on. It test vapes great at 60 watts on the Koopor Plus. I'll take it to work tomorrow and report back:

EDIT: Tested about 3 tanks full on my breaks today. No problems at all :)

Did the things you guys showed, turned around the atty and placed on the table for an hour; no leaking
On the side ; no leaking

Now I'm facing a new issue; The tank capacity is waaaaaay to small for my dual 8 wrap 3mm fused Clapton. It chucks more clouds than any dripper i have ( except my Temple 30mm, but that's a quad coil, so it actually doesn't count )

Flavor is kickass, density of the clouds almost make it rain in my room. One superb little monster it is. The tank is empty within the hour but I'll just think of it as it is a dripper with the luxury of not needing to grab a juice bottle and squirting a new load of juice all the time. :D

Hope my Griffin driptip arrives soon as the original situation ain't the one I prefer

You'll find a 15 ml unicorn bottle will keep you going for a few hours, and isn't hard to carry. Or at least I do :)

I agree, but when on the road it's easier to keep on vaping for the entire duration of the drive without thinking to refill.

Having a triple battery device already took away the necessity of taking spare batteries, a big tank takes away the same for carrying an extra bottle

In the end it's only a luxury issue, so I'll survive :)

This thread more than convinced me to pick one up, and I must say... no regrets! For those of you without Griffin tanks (like me) who also live in the US, though the chameleon tips look amazing they're a bit pricey to get stateside. Half Moon makes some pretty nice press-fit tips for the Kennedy that fit perfectly, and look pretty good IMHO. Cheers!
