Thanks for starting this thread. I've been way too wired on nicotine the last few days and am not looking to trade one unhealthy habit for another. To me, this has felt like I've had too much caffeine and I'm not a big fan of caffeine. I used to love it, but I just decided to cut it out one years ago and since then I've not liked caffeine buzzes. Most days I have nothing with caffeine in it and when I do it's rarely more than a can or two of soda before 2 or 3pm. Right now, I'm at 12mg and I feel like I've been drinking Red Bulls all day. So, I'm planning to make the 0mg jump sooner rather than later.

I have a slightly different plan for stepping down. It's nothing revolutionary, but I thought I'd share it.

My plan is to go right to 0mg with "smoke breaks". In other words, when I'm feeling the need for a nic fix, I'll vape some 12mg (my current preference). Otherwise I'll be on 0mg for the rest of the day.

After I've gotten used to that, I'll drop to 9mg smoke breaks. Then I'll drop when I've gotten used to that and so on until I've eliminated the smoke breaks and am just down to vaping 0mg all the time.

I've got some 0mg in the mail and some DIY supplies on the way. I'll post back when I'm underway as well.

I like your plan. I thought about doing pretty much that, but then I figured, knowing myself, Id get carried away and use that as a personal excuse to use nicotine as I have NO self control lol. Lately Ive been hanging around the 8-18mg range, which in itself is pretty good considering for the first many months I was using mostly 36mg nic liquid. So far I have not made a plan like before to lower that to 0, but every time I order juice im thinking, hey, why not go lower on the nic, and tend to do so. Problem is, im not sure if ill ever have the will to be nic free AND at the same time be on a diet or something. This is something I think about quite often when I consider my nic habit. Good luck with your plan, most peope have more willpower than myself :) and let us know how it goes!

Yesterday was my first full day on my "cut to 0 nic" plan. All told, things went pretty well and the adjustment has been easy so far. I vaped 0mg for most of the day and used 12mg when I got "the twitch" to have a cigarette. A couple times throughout the day I even dropped to 6mg. I've noticed that mornings and late nights are when I get the most and the strongest nicotine cravings. During those times, I stepped it up to 18mg.

Congrats! Thats a great step in the right direction. So glad to see your doing good on that plan. I hope it continues to go well but id suggest not rushing yourself on the way to 0 0 :)

I been doing 8 to 11mg exclusively lately, finally inching my way back down, and feel a lot better than when I was at 24 (less twitchy, hyper). Im positive that I can stay in this range, maybe reduce it to 6 or even 4 as Ive become readusted to the lower range and will think about maybe going 3mg, then 2 then 1. For that im gonna DIY my juice because most if not all vendors dont seem to carry amounts that low. Nic is hard to give up I guess because it does seem to give some advantages, appetite, concentration, ect. but will be harmful in the long term.
